A study of wound healing potential and physicochemical characteristics of copper oxide nanoparticles prepared by high-temperature condensation. Copper oxide nanoparticles admixed into an ointment showed wound-healing behavior different in effectiveness depending on their physico-chemical parameters. Nanoparticles of copper oxide sample with a particle size of 119 nm demonstrated maximal relative wound pull up rate.
The composition of oligomer fraction of low-molecular chitosan (LMC) has been studied using HPLC method, and it was shown, that the oligomer part of LMC (M = 10,7 kDa) is a mixture of oligomers with the large amount of monomers (30,82 %). The antibacterial activity of LMC was studied on two wound cultures: E. coli and St. albus. The LMC (M = 72 kDa) revealed the highest antibacterial effect in the concentration 20 mg/ml. We have developed the technology of the medicinal forms merylcellulose-100 gel (MC gel), containing LMC in different concentrations. The wound healing effect of these gels was studied. It was shown, that the gels possess the wound healing properties. Using the time of wound half closure as the evaluation criteria the most effective forms are gel, containing LMC (M=72 kDa) in the concentration 2 %, and gel, containing LMC (10,7 kDa) in the concentration 0,1 %.
Physico-chemical study of various dust samples showed its highly-dispersed nature with complex macroand microelemental composition. The biological activity study of the dust samples showed the lack of toxicity and negative influence on the skin regeneration. The samples show the bacterial contamination. During the study of the dust influence on the growth of St. albus we have discovered the synergism of St. albus and the bacteria contained in dust samples.
