The article reports on the progress of scientifi c and technical cooperation between scientifi c and educational organizations of the Voronezh Region, Moscow and Sichuan Province (China). The results of fi eld research conducted by members of the Russian-Chinese scientifi c consortium in September 2025 in Sichuan Province in such key areas as the safe use of soils contaminated with heavy metals, control of the number of invasive plant species, and management of artificial forest ecosystems are summarized.
В статье приводится предварительный флористический список долины реки Данило, расположенной в северной части Калачского овражно-балочного южнолесостепного района Воронежской области. Список содержит 297 видов, подвидов и гибридов сосудистых растений из 3 отделов, 4 классов и 51 семейства, среди которых 6 занесены в Красную книгу России, а 22 - в Красную книгу области. Авторами обосновывается необходимость создания на территории долины реки регионального памятника природы ландшафтного профиля.
The article considers three promising steppe specially protected natural areas located on the northeastern border of the Voronezh region. Each of the described natural complexes has a well-preserved vegetation cover and acts as an insular refuge for typical steppe species, including those included in the Red Books of Russia and the Voronezh region, among the endless regional agricultural landscapes.
The fast genotypic adaptation of plants to the heat resources deficiency is based on the regulation of heat reserve redistribution between the vegetative and generative stages of development. The mechanism of photoperiodic sensitivity launches the process of heat redistribution in short-day plants. The plants that begin blooming on longer day form a generative stage of development earlier and receive more heat resources for seeds ripening. Both the duration of the vegetative phase and heat supply during this period shorten, as a result the vegetative growth of plants and potential seed productivity decline. This causes a weakening of competitiveness in plant communities. The optimal balance between the duration of the vegetative and generative stages of development in each geographical areas is specific and can be achieved via natural selection of genotypes with an optimal threshold of photoperiodic sensitivity for certain zone. The features of photoperiodic sensitivity thresholds of ragweed plants occurring in the southern and northern boundaries of the secondary range in connection with the peculiarities of photoperiod dynamics and temperature conditions of their habitats are considered. The prediction of the possibility of ragweed range extension to the north that associated with both the potential variability of genotypes and trends of climate warming is made.
The article gives a short description of the present state of Voronezh oblast steppe natural territorial complexes and discovers the reasons of preserved steppe landscapes identification and protection. The authors provide landscape and floristic descriptions of 9 perspective steppe protected areas which are located in 7 administrative-territorial units. Within descriptions particular emphasis is laid on the plant species of Russia and Voronezh oblast Red Data Books. A map of perspective steppe protected areas location is presented in accordance with a scheme of regional physical and geographical zoning.

В гербарии VORG факультета географии, геоэкологии и туризма Воронежского государственного университета на начало 2016 года хранится около 15 тыс. образцов высших расте ний из различных регионов России. The implementation of the proposed concept of ecological framework provides a solution to ecological and economic problems for the sustainable development of the region.
A summary of the invasive flora of Voronezh oblast in the form of an annotated list with 110 species of vascular plants is prepared. It is analyzed as regards the taxonomic, ecological phytocenotic, biomorphological, botanical, and geographical origin and invasive status in the region. The major tasks are formulated for invasive plant species monitoring in Voronezh oblast.
