Urinary incontinence is the most common urological complications after radical prostatectomy. Underactive changes in pelvic floor muscles should be taken into account in the assessment of state of patients with urination disorders, as well as in the choice of post-operative tactics. A perspective method of rehabilitation of patients with urinary incontinence is the use of exercises for the pelvic floor muscles. This method of rehabilitation allows achieving good results in the retention of urine.
The work offers a treatment method for patients with chronic pelvic pain syndrome, combined with erectilе dysfunction. This method involves a complex therapy including correction of microcirculation disorders and innervation of pelvic organs by means of physiotherapeutic procedures, and also etiopathogenetic medicinal therapy. Preparations improving microcirculation and conductive function of nervous tissue in pelvic organd in combination with their electrostimulation allowed to substantially improve the results of treatment of patients with chronic pelvic pain syndrome, combined with erectilе dysfunction.
The article presents the results of combined use of Doxazosin and Indigal in treatment of 100 patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) stages I-II. The expressed clinical effect of this combination, normalization of urodynamic indicators, and improvement of quality of life are noted here.
Erectile dysfunction is a significant problem in men after radical prostatectomy. Hemodynamic techniques are the most informative and objective in the diagnosis of erectile dysfunction in patients with this pathology. Postoperative rehabilitation with PDE-5 inhibitor and pelvic floor exercises allowed to significantly improve the performance of erectile function.
In order to investigate the prevalence and severity of erectile dysfunctions, as well as microcirculation and electrolyte exchange abnormalities, 79 patients with metabolic syndrome and 68 healthy volunteers were assessed be means of a clinical laboratory examination. An increase in the incidence of erectile dysfunction in patients with metabolic syndrome has been revealed. Besides, a pattern of penile microcirculation abnormalities and electrolyte imbalance types have been identified.
Morphometry issues of lower urinary tract microcirculatory components in pathology-free participants and in cases of various urologic disorders have been considered in the article. General patterns in microcirculatory and morphological changes of the bladder and urethra in cases of diverse lower urinary tract disorders have been experimentally revealed. In order to create an experimental model of lower urinary tract disorders, 50 animals were employed. In the present analog study, the results of the bladder and urethra microcirculatory investigations have been shown to directly correlate to the morphological examination findings of histologic specimens made within the appropriate time period.
