It is assumed that academically gifted students have high intelligence and emotional abilities, but research said otherwise (Williams & Cross, 2009). Despite the fact that numerous studies have been conducted to determine the effects of personality and parenting practices in the growth of perfectionism, they have been conducted independently (Kakavand et al., 2017; Basirion et al., 2014). As a result, it is evident that more study into particular mediating and moderating factors is required (Walton et al., 2018). This study was conducted to investigate the mediating role of personality traits in the relationship between parenting practices (emotional warmth, rejection, & over-protection) and perfectionism in academically gifted students. For this reason, a quantitative, correlational study using cross-sectional research design was conducted. Data was obtained from respondents through survey method. EMBU Parenting Scale (Arrindell et al., 1999), Big Three Perfectionism Scale (Feher et al., 2019) and Big Five Personality Inventory (John & Srivastava, 1999) were used. The sample of this study was academically gifted students (N = 300). Results showed that parenting practices were associated with perfectionism. Results also showed that personality traits mediated the relationship between parenting practices and perfectionism. This study has implications in the education sector i.e. how parents should focus on the development of academically gifted students.
Translation is considered one of the strategies in learning a foreign language. Subtitles are a form of translation that involves audiovisual materials such as TV, video, CD and DVD. The relatively low level of vocabulary mastery among university students as such, led to the exploration of more effective Arabic language learning strategies. This study focused on the function of subtitles in improving Arabic vocabulary and clauses among students of the Faculty of Contemporary Islamic Studies, UniSZA. This study is a quantitative study that used Arabic language acquisition tests to obtain data. The study material is the subtitle texts of three episodes in an Arabic drama الل ميلك سىوم. The respondents were purposely chosen involving 23 Final Year students of Bachelor of Islamic Studies (Dakwah) with Honours at the Faculty of Islamic Contemporary Studies, UniSZA who are taking a course entitled alTarjamah, a translation course of Arab-Malay-Arab. Language acquisition tests consisting of vocabulary translation and translation clauses which were conducted in two sessions – before and after video viewing. The findings show that there is an increase in student vocabulary after viewing the video. In the vocabulary test, 30% of the students succeeded in scoring more than 50%. The same grade level was also achieved by 78% of the students in the test clause. While the rest of the students also showed a moderate increase and the percentage of scores dropped after watching the video was zero. The improvement in this test score indicates that there is an increase in vocabulary and language acquisition among students through subtitle translation strategies.

The aim of this paper is to examine the relationship between organizational culture and organizational structure. Therefore, 354 academic and administrative members from 3 public universities in Jordan have been chosen in order to highlight the relationship between their organizational culture and organizational structure. Organizational culture scale developed by Harrison & Stokes (1992) and organizational structure scale developed by Gougui (2017) have been used during the preparation of the study questions. Factor analysis, reliability analysis and Pearson correlation analysis have been the major statistical indicators of data analysis. Correlation analysis results indicate that there is a medium level (r=0,530), positive and significant (p<0,01) relationship between organizational culture and organizational structure and there is not a significant statistical relationship between power culture (sub-dimension of organizational culture) and internal communication (sub-dimension of organizational structure). On the other hand, there is a significant, but weak relationship, between power culture (sub-dimension of organizational culture) and other sub-dimensions of organizational structure. There is a medium level statistical relationship between person culture (sub-dimension of organizational culture) and organizational complexity (sub-dimension of organizational structure). Moreover, it is observed that, there is a statistical significant relationship between sub-dimensions of organizational culture and organizational structure except the power culture (sub-dimension of organizational culture) and managerial attitude toward change (sub-dimension of organizational structure). Finally, it is also observed that, there is a significant statistical relationship between role culture, task culture and the rest of the organizational structure sub-dimensions except organizational complexity.
The study explores the effect of organizational culture on organizational development in public universities in Jordan. Higher-education has a critical role in Jordan's economic growth and the future prosperity of the nation. The literature indicates the lack of attention to culture in relation to organizational development, particularly among public universities in Jordan. Very few studies have relied on quantitative research methods such as Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) in educational research to examine the different relationships among constructs in the model established on the basis of the theories. Thus, this study explored the impact of organizational culture (OC) on organizational development (OD) in Jordanian public universities. The study drew on Handy’s cultural model as there has been a little research on the effect each of the four types of culture on organizational development. Accordingly, we developed and tested four hypotheses. 354 questionnaires were collected from administrative and academic members at three public universities in Jordan. This study in fact pursued a rigorous process to support the construct validity of the measure by employing EFA as well as CFA using both SPSS and AMOS-SEM. The results showed that out of the four types of culture, role culture, task culture and people culture had positive and significant impacts on organizational development, whereas power culture had a negative and insignificant effect on organizational development in Jordanian public universities. Thus, it could be concluded that higher education professionals should establish the values of organizational culture among the employees of Jordanian public universities in the higher education system in order to ensure organizational development since it could influence the whole society.

This mediator is a mechanism that describes how one variable can affect other variables. Thus, this study was conducted to explain the role played by mediators to build discipline learning as a relationship between motivations to student academic achievement. A total of 260 forms of four students, taking an additional Mathematics course at a secondary school in Kuala Terengganu District. Data were analyzed using version 21.0 from IBM-SPSS-AMOS (Package Statistics for Social Sciences Moments Structure Analysis). The findings indicate that the mediator link test is supported and the type of mediator relationship is partial mediation relations because both indirect effects for constructive constructs and construction of learning disciplines against the construction of academic achievement are significant, and the direct influence of motivational constructions on the construction of academic achievement is also significant. The bootstrap findings in this study are the effects of full mediation because the direct effects are insignificant and consistent with the findings of the mediator link test on the test procedure.
Malaysia has been practising manufacturing practices brought by the West and East which aim purely for materialism. This phenomenon causes a variety of problems in the manufacturing sector in this country, such as the erosion of the humanity, environmental pollution and exploitation of human labor. Manufacturing practices that are not based on the Islamic concept lead to many things that neither conform to sharia compliance nor suitable to the needs of the Muslim society. This study has two objectives. Firstly, to identify the principles of manufacturing from Islamic point of view. Secondly, to formulate a definition of Islam manufacturing as a fundamental procedure that can be used as a basis of manufacturing practices that abide to sharia, taharah, barakah and can eliminate shubhah. This qualitatif study uses document analysis as its instrument. It involves inductive and comparative analysis of data generated from Quran, hadith and Islamic scholars’ writing. This study found that there are 4 fundamentals of Islam manufacturing: tauhid, man as khalifah, akhlak and quality of product. Meanwhile the principles of Islam manufacturing are associated with owners, capitalization, staff, premises, equipment, materials, work processes, and product documentation. The study concluded that Islamic manufacturing is a balanced and integrated process of transforming the source of material which is syariah compliant, taharah and barakah towards the elimination of shubhah for the welfare of the community in this world and hereafter. Keywords: Islamic manufacturing, syariah compliance, taharah, barakah, shubhah.
Arabic learning as a foreign language is often associated with unconducive environment and limited learning time. In education, the objective of language learning is achieved if the student is able to master the language skills. However, previous studies show that students are not able to use language skills in actual communication. Therefore, an environment model for Arabic language learning 'Inghimas Lughaw?' was introduced. The question are, what is the Inghimas Lughaw? concept and what is the component that forms Inghimas Lughaw?? To answer these questions, this study sets two objectives. First, to identify the Ingimas Lughaw? concept. Second, to suggest components that form Inghimas Lughaw?. Hence, library research is conducted on previous researches conceptually. Preliminary finding suggests that this model is able to create an effective language environment with broad language use.
