Globalization has intensified competition throughout industries. Product lifecycles have shortened dramatically. As pharmaceutical firms are characterized by particularly high R&D upfront costs, long before any revenues can be expected, the consequences of shorter periods to reap the rewards is particularly high.

When it comes to collaborations, biopharmaceutical companies can generate a lot of value by selecting the right partner and making an effort to nurture the relationship.
By valuing and structuring their deals appropriately, biotechnology companies can earn higher returns, maintain greater control of intellectual property, and strengthen their partnerships with pharmaceutical companies.
By creating a balanced portfolio of deals in different areas, companies can increase the likelihood of growing cash flow and achieving their long-term goals.
