The synthesis of a palladium complex and a monosilylated monomer derived from 15-membered azatriolefinic macrocycle are described as well as the preparation of the corresponding hybrid organic-inorganic materials, containing a macrocyclic palladium(0) complex covalently anchored to the silica matrix. The materials were obtained by sol-gel process using different routes: post-synthesis treatment on a mesostructured silica, cogelification of a monosilylated precursor and tetraethylorthosilicate. A stepwise preparation of a series of nitrogen-containing 25-membered pentaolefinic macrocycles is presented. The corresponding arenesulfonamides and trans-1,4-dibromo-2-butene served as precursors for the synthesis.

The synthesis of a bis-silylated 15-membered azatriolefinic macrocycle is described as well as its co-gelification with tetraethyl orthosilicate. The resulting material was treated with Pd(dba)2 affording an hybrid organic–inorganic material containing macrocyclic palladium(0) complex covalently bonded to the silica matrix. The activity of this material as catalyst or precatalyst in Suzuki cross-coupling and telomerization of butadiene with methanol and phenol is presented.

La listeriosis se ha considerado poco frecuente en los pacientes con infección por el virus de la inmunodeficiencia humana (VIH). En España. con una prevalencia de infección por VIH relativamente alta se han publicado un número limitado de casos de listeriosis en pacientes infectados por el VIH. Aportamos nuestra experiencia en este campo, revisando también los casos previamente descritos en España. Se describen 3 casos observados por los autores (entre 903 pacientes asistidos infectados por el VIH) y en ellos, así como en los previamente publicados, se analizan la edad, sexo, estadio de la infección por el VIH, forma clínica de listeriosis, tratamiento y evolución. De los 21 casos analizados, 16 (76%) eran varones. Diez cursaron con infección del sistema nervioso central, diez con bacteriemia aislada o asociada a otro proceso y uno con neumonía. Fallecieron 2 (9,5%), ninguno de los cuales fue tratado con antibióticos de elección. La infección por Listeria monocytogenes (LM) en pacientes infectados por el VIH, aunque poco frecuente, debe ser reconocida, pues con tratamiento adecuado tiene buen pronóstico, aún en sus formas clínicas más graves. The 15-membered macrocyclic triolefin Ma stabilizes a Pd(0) catalyst, active and recyclable in telomerization of butadiene with methanol. This Pd catalyst is generated from different Pd(0) or Pd(II) sources associated with phosphanes.

Arenesulfonamides and trans-1,4-dibromobut-2-ene are the ultimate precursors for the stepwise preparation of the 20-membered macrocycles of the title.
