The excitation functions and angular distributions of the first seven proton groups from the (d, p) reaction on 32S have been measured. The excitation functions for all the groups show considerable fluctuations. The shape of the excitation curves measured at an angle of 150° differs from that observed at 30°. Moreover, most of the fluctuations for different proton groups are not correlated with each other. Angular distributions have been measured at ten deuteron energies. A considerable competition between the compound nucleus mechanism and direct processes is observed practically at all energies. No regularity is observed between the fluctuations in the excitation curves and angular distributions. Differential and total reaction cross sections are given.
Excitation functions and angular distribution for the first two α-groups from the N15 (d, α)C13 reaction and those for the α0-group from the O16(d, α)N14 reaction have been observed.
Angular distributions and excitation functions for the first four groups of alpha particles from the reaction N14(d, α)C12 have been studied. The angular distribution of the α0 group has been measured at twelve deuteron energies between 1.1 and 2.5 MeV. A marked forward peaking is observed in the angular distribution of the α0 group at Ed = 1.1 MeV and above.
