The derived limits in imported foodstuffs are established to correspond an annual dose about 2.5 mSv. About 12640 food samples during the year 1987 were measured for radiocesium contamination. The distribution of contamination level is reported. The resultant annual dose as well as collective dose up to age 70 years were estimated to infants children and adults. The results are discussed with respect to possible risks to the population from imported foodstuffs.
The decay of 140La to levels in 140Ce has been studied in detail using a GMX-Ge and Hp-Ge coincidence spectrometer. Singles gamma-ray spectra as well as gamma-gamma coincidence were carried out to determine some γ-transitions and to insure others. Energies and relative intensities of 36 γ-transitions in the range from 26 to 3319 keV have been measured. The doubted γ-lines 936.7, 1087.9, 1303.5, 1404.2, 1415.3 and 2533.4 keV were confirmed, while other ones at 798.3, 902.0, 907.0, 1521.8 and 2494.0 keV were not observed. The two γ-lines at 1924 and 2082 keV which were a source of large discrepancies in the previous studies are confirmed in the present work to be sum peaks. Special care was paid in identifying the weak γ-transitions 936.7, 1087.9, 1415.3 and 2533.4 keV. Keywords: cerium 140decayenergy levelsgamma decaygamma spectralanthanum 140
Angular distributions of gamma rays following the inelastic scattering of protons from Mn55 have been measured at proton energies below 2.50 MeV. The mixture multipole orders for the transition 983→126 keV and 1,530→0 in Mn55 have been obtained.
Angular distributions of 413 and 1,322keV gamma rays from the Mn55(p,nγ)Fe55 reaction and the (n-γ) angular correlation measurements have been measured at proton energies below 2.50 MeV. The experimental results show agreement with the Sheldon formula. The multipole mixture parameters for the 933 and 1,322 keV gamma rays in Fe55 have been determined. The sum coincidence technique is used to give some information about the scheme of excited levels in the Fe55 nucleus.
Angular distributions of gamma rays following the inelastic scattering of protons from Mn55 have been measured at proton energies below 2.50 MeV. The mixture multipole orders for the transition 983→126 keV and 1,530→0 in Mn55 have been obtained.
Then-γ angular correlation measurements for the Cr53(p, nγ) Mn53 reaction were performed atEp=2.3, 2.4 and 2.5 MeV. The neutron detector was located in the reaction plane atθn=45‡, 90‡ and 120‡ and perpendicularly to this plane atθn=Φ=90‡. The experimental results obtained are in good agreement with predictions of the statistical compound-nucleus theory.
Total yields and angular distributions of gamma rays following the inelastic scattering of protons from Cr50 and Cr54 have been measured at proton energies below 2.5 MeV. Gamma ray spectra resulting from the proton radiative capture by Cr50 and Cr54 were obtained. Transitions from most of the Mn51 and Mn55 low-lying levels have been observed. The experimental results are in good agreement with predictions of the statistical compound nucleus theory.
Total yields and angular distributions of 380 keV gamma rays from the Cr 53 ( p , n γ ) Mn 53 reaction have been measured for proton energies below 2.5 MeV. The experimental results are in good agreement with predictions of the statistical compound-nucleus theory. The angular distributions of 560 keV gamma rays upon the proton inelastic scattering on Cr 53 at E p = 2.3, 2.4 and 2.5 MeV are isotropic, which is commensurate with a ½ − assignment to the first excited state of Cr 53 .
The excitation functions and angular distributions of the first seven proton groups from the (d, p) reaction on 32S have been measured. The excitation functions for all the groups show considerable fluctuations. The shape of the excitation curves measured at an angle of 150° differs from that observed at 30°. Moreover, most of the fluctuations for different proton groups are not correlated with each other. Angular distributions have been measured at ten deuteron energies. A considerable competition between the compound nucleus mechanism and direct processes is observed practically at all energies. No regularity is observed between the fluctuations in the excitation curves and angular distributions. Differential and total reaction cross sections are given.
