Baosteel, as a large state-owned and high energy intensity enterprises in Shanghai, it is very important for Baosteel to increase its use of renewable energy, such as solar energy. Based on the national policy- ”JIN TAI YANG” and EMC, Baosteel has completed the largest rooftop PV power generation project in the world. Key issues of the project such as structure, technology and its effect are discussed detailed in this paper, this valuable experience of the project in Baosteel is also useful to other iron & steel enterprises.
Based on the topology principle of the electric furnace SVC (static var com-pensator) system, the transient theory of the system is analyzed. The impedance character of the system is emphasized. The simulation verification experiments are made. The results show that variation of harmonic wave branch of the system would make an impact on the bus volt-age, current and power factor of the system.

According to the characteristics of synchronous motor,a detailed analysis was made on out-of-step phenomena and hazards of the synchronous motor.In the light of different out-of-step phenomena,the relevant protection measures were advanced.The actual protection measures and operation features of the synchronous motor for blower of Baoshan Iron Steel Co.,Ltd were presented.
Electricity utilization characteristics of large heavy industry enterprises were analyzed.It found out that the longer the troubleshooting time was,the less the daily electricity consumption was;the larger the output was,the more the daily electricity consumption was.Taking the above as the structure information of problems,a forecasting method based on non-negative least square was set forward.Taking troubleshooting scheme and output scheme of the enterprises as input information,this method structured regression function and introduced the structure information of problems into construction of a model.It greatly increased precision of prediction and generalization capacity of the model.
The current withstand voltage test methods to XLPE power cable in detail was summarized.Meanwhile,according to the operating method and the existing problems of the Baosteel XLPE power cable on-site withstand voltage test,and combining the current dissimilar standards both at home and abroad,it clarified the application effects of the variable frequency resonance test to XLPE power cable.Furthermore,some advices for the follow-up researches of the variable frequency resonance test in future were put forward.
The detailed investigation and classification were carried out on the current arc furnace models.And various kinds of typical model plans were analyzed and estimated fully and accurately.It pointed out that the time domain voltage source model was an effective one in the numerous models.Furthermore,it put forward some practical measures for the follow-up research of the model in future.
