The conversion electron lines of 140La following thermal neutron capture in 139La were studied by the magnetic spectrometer and the (n,γ) lines by the Ge(Li) spectrometer. Forty conversion lines in 140La have been measured. The conversion coefficients of all transitions and the multipolarities for some of them were determined. A new transition of 538.8 keV was identified by coincidence measurement.
The levels and gamma decay in168Er have been investigated following thermal neutron capture on enriched targets of 167Er2O3. Precision measurements of the gamma spectrum with curved-crystal spectrometers revealed over 700 transitions up to an energy of 2.5 MeV, with intensities spanning five orders of magnitude. A list of primary gamma transitions populating levels in 168Er up to an excitation energy of 3.1 MeV resulted from measurements with the pair spectrometer. Information on the gamma spectrum in the energy region 1400
The relative intraband transition rates for levels in the gamma vibrational bands of 162Dy and 168Er have been measured with a 5.8 m radius curved crystal spectrometer. The measurements allow us to deduce the M1-E2 mixing ratios in the Delta I=-1 intraband transitions. The results are consistent with the assumption that mod (gK-gR)/Q0(2) mod is constant within the band.
The half-life of134Cs obtained by gamma spectrometry from the change of the134Cs to137Cs activity ratio is 2.04±0.03 years.
The gamma-gamma angular correlations in Tm169 have been measured. It was found that both K-forbidden transitions of 177 and 198 keV are mixtures of M1 and E2 multipoles. The magnitudes and the interference signs of these mixtures have been determined.
