Mitra Program Kemitraan Masyarakat adalah Bumdes Bumi Pacellekang Sejahtera (BPS) yang berkedudukan di Desa Pacellekang, Kecamatan Patallasang, Kabupaten Gowa, Sulawesi Selatan. Bumdes BPS telah melakukan usaha budidaya lobster air tawar sebagai bagian dari kegiatan program desa wisata terpadu. Permasalahan budidaya lobster air tawar yaitu terjadi penyusutan 61 % produksi akibat mahalnya pakan buatan. Tujuan pengabdian ini yaitu untuk meningkatakan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kelompok masyarakat pembudidaya lobster air taar melalui edukasi, pembibingan serta pelatihan pembuatan pakan buatan atau pellet. Kegiatan edukasi dan pelatihan dilakukan pada hari Kamis 14 September 2023 di Aula Balai Pertemuan, Desa Pacellekang. Peserta diikuti 15 orang dari binaan Bumdes BPS. Metode yang digunakan yaitu pembelajaran teori dan Andragogik untuk aplikasi teknologi pembuatan pakan buatan. Pemaparan materi disampaikan oleh narasumber yang dimulai dari penyusunan ransum pakan lobster air tawar dan pengenalan bahan baku pakan. Selanjutnya dilakukan pembimbingan dan pelatihan pembuatan pakan buatan yang dimulai dari pencampuran bahan pakan dan proses pembuatan/pencetakan pellet. Bahan baku fomulasi pakan terdiri dari tepung : ikan, maggot, rebong, kedelai, taiopan, dedak halus, vitamin mix dan CMC dengan total protein 39 %. Pencetakan pakan buatan menggunakan mesin dengan kapasitas produksi 100- 150 kg/jam. Kelompok pembudidaya lobster air tawar sudah dapat meramu, mencampur dan mencetak pakan buatan dengan mandiri. Kelompok pembudidaya Bumdes BPS sudah memproduksi pakan buatan secara mandiri untuk lobster air tawar.
Marosatherina ladigesi’s original habitat is in the freshwater of South Sulawesi as endemic fish in the wallacea zone Indonesia, with a local name called beseng-beseng fish. M.ladigesi was already in the category of at threat of extinction.The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of different protein levels on survival rate, growth performance, body protein composition and enzyme activity of protease, lipase and amylase of beseng-beseng fish. The research method was using Completely Randomized Design with three treatments and three replications. Treatment of the study: protein content of feed A: 40%, B: 50% and C: 60%. Fish maintenance takes 90 days. The results showed that protein content had a significant effect (P<0,05) on absolute body growth, specific growt rate, survival rate, body protein composition and protease enzyme activity of juvenile beseng-beseng fish. The best growth performance is obtained at 50% and 60% protein content, while the survival and body protein composition and the best protease enzyme activity at 60% protein content.
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE:Marosatherina ladigesi is locally called the "beseng-beseng' including endemic freshwater fish in South Sulawesi, Indonesia. The objective of this was to describe for the first time the development from eggs to the post flexion larval stage under controlled conditions and was to determine the developmental stages of embryonic and larvae of M. ladigesi. This consideration is possible to conduct breeding program of this species commercially and is suitable for commercial culture.MATERIAL AND METHODS:Brook stocks were reared for 5 months with fed twice daily with mixture of Daphnia sp., Chironomus sp. and Culex sp. Water was substituted up to 50% each week. Artificial substrate from plastic rope was attached in the tank. The eggs were collected 6 h after laying on the substrate. The larvae were fed twice daily with infusoria, Daphnia sp. and Artemiasalina nauplii. Observations of embryonic development were performed every 6 h until the eggs hatched. Egg samples were observed with 5 eggs at a time. Larvae were observed at the ages of 0.3, 5, 7, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 DAH.RESULTS:The process of embryonic development takes 204 h after spawning (HAS) or 8.5 days after hatching (DAH). The cleavage stage is composed of 4-8 cell divisions that occur before 12 HAS, 16 cells formed at 12 HAS and 32-64 cells formed at 24-30 HAS, cell multiplication occurs after 36 HAS. The morula stage is 42 HAS, the blastula stage occurs at 54-60 HAS, the gastrula stage occurs at 72 HAS, the neurula stage begins at 84 HAS and the segmentation stage occurs at 96 HAS. The segmentation stage shows already formed eye spots. The yolk stage lasted until 5 DAH, the free flexion stage occurred at 7 DAH, the flexion phase at 10 DAH and the post flexion stage at 15 DAH. The mouth was open65-78 HAS or 3 DAH and the yolk reserves were used for 5 DAH.CONCLUSION:M. ladigesi eggs are very adhesive and do not float and the eggs hatch to larvae at 204 HAS or 8.5 DAH at 29±1°C. This study revealed that the flexion stage occurred after 10 DAH and the post flexion stage after 15 DAH. The mouth was open after 65-78 h (3 DAH) and the yolk sac reserves were used for 5 DAH.
Background and Objective: The camouflage grouper (Epinephelus polyphekadion) is considered one of the newly fisheries export commodities of Indonesia with a relatively high economic value.The sustainability of the seeds of camouflage grouper for mariculture is still limited.This study aimed to determine the morphometric, allometric and relative growth of Epinephelus polyphekadion larvae, reared until 35 days after hatching.Methodology: The larval rearing pond were equipped with an aeration system and the vessel was closed with plastic and equipped with a 100 W fluorescent bulbs.Larvae fed 10 individual mLG 1 rotifers, 5-10 individual mLG 1 copepods, 10-20 individual mLG 1 Artemia sp. and 10-20 individual mLG 1 mysid.Water exchange was as follows: At age 0-10 days after hatching no water exchange, at 10-15 days after hatching, 10-20% water exchange and at 20-35 days after hatching, 50% water exchange.The morphological observation and body measurements were conducted on 10 fish samples taken randomly from 1, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 days after hatching.Relative growth on each body part was examined by expressing it as a percentage to standard length.Allometric growth was calculated as a power function of total length.Growth patterns of larvae were calculated by linear regression analysis to assess the strength of association.Results: Changes of the stage pra-flexion to flexion occurred when the standard length of the fish was 6.91 mm.The.The demersal juvenile stage occurred at the total length of 27.94±3.94mm and the standard length of 23:23±3.51mm, body depth of 7.06±0.90mm and the head length of 7.06±0.80mm.The morphometric growth pattern was slow at the age of 1-14 days after hatching, while faster at the age of 15-35 after hatching.Relationships between total length and weight at the age 1-35 after hatching were an allometric positive with the equation of W = 0.006 L 3.023 (r 2 = 0.980).Conclusion: Changes of the stage praflexion to flexion occurred when the fish was at the standard length of 6.91 mm.The growth pattern was an allometric positive and relative growth already fixed at the standard length of 4-6 mm.Growth pattern in M. ladigesi give specific indications on the change in length of the body, it can be linked to the method of feeding for larvae rearing.
The study aims to find out condition of soil quality in brackishwater ponds in Mangara Bombang Sub-district, Takalar Regency where the center for brackishwater farming development is built. Soil quality sampling used as the main requirements for brackishwater shrimp farming parameter consist of soil texture, pH, organic matter, nutrients and pyrite content. Supporting soil quality parameters in brackishwater shrimp farming are pHFOX, KTK, Cation (K, Ca, Na, and Mg), TSA, TAA, and redox. Sampling is then analyzed in laboratory to find out condition of soil parameters in brackishwater areas, Mangara Bombang coastal areas. Calculation of soil quality including pHFOX, KTK, Cation (K, Ca, Na, and Mg), TSA, TAA, and redox aims to find out eligibility for brackishwater shrimp farming. The findings indicate that in general, brackishwater soil quality in Mangara Bombang coastal areas, Takalar Regency is at the eligible limits, or the soil is capable of promoting brackishwater shrimp farming.
