The new station for optical observation of electron beam parameters at electron storage ring SIBERIA-2 is dedicated for measurement of transverse and longitudinal sizes of electron bunches with the use of synchrotron radiation (SR) visible spectrum in one-bunch and multibunch modes and for the study of individual electron bunches behavior in time in the conditions of changing accelerator parameters. The paper briefly describes the main components of the diagnostics and experimental results obtained with them. OPTICAL OBSERVATION STATION
A new station for optical observation of electron beam parameters at the electron storage ring SIBERIA-2 is dedicated for measurement of the transverse and longitudinal size of electron bunches with the use of the synchrotron radiation (SR) visible spectrum in single-bunch and multibunch modes and for study of time-dependent behavior of individual electron bunches with changing accelerator parameters. The article briefly describes the main components of the diagnostics and the experimental results.
In 2000, after a long break, creation of the technological storage ring complex (TSC) was renewed in ZELENOGRAD. The injection complex has now been commissioned. The equipment of the main storage ring that has been made earlier is now under inspection. The status of, and short-range plans concerning the Zelenograd storage ring are described in the report.
The dipole bending magnets (BM) for SR Source Storage Ring (prefecture SAGA, Japan) were designed, manufactured and measured by the Budker INP, Novosibirsk, Russia. The main features of magnetic modeling and magnetic measurements are presented in the paper. The measured basic parameters of the manufactured bending magnets have good agreement with the model simulation.
The creation of BM with that large good field area is complicated due to necessity to combine it with small transverse dimensions of BM, indicated in Fig.1. Before a serial production the prototype (BM00) of the bending magnet was designed, manufactured and measured by the Budker INP and in KHI, Japan. On the basis of this prototype the 16 serial bending magnets were manufactured and delivered to Saga SR Source. The paper describes the design, the manufacture and the magnetic measurements of the dipole bending magnets (BMs) for SR Source Storage Ring (SAGA prefecture, Japan) carried out in BINP, Novosibirsk, Russia.

A single-turn injection scheme with two kickers and one septum was proposed to be used for injection into SIBERIA-2. The incoming 450 MeV electron beam from the SIBERIA-1 storage ring is injected with 20 degrees horizontally. The fast kickers generate electromagnetic pulses with rise and down time of 3 ns and a flat top of 15 ns duration. The septum magnet provides a pulse of magnetic field about 100 /spl mu/s duration with 20 kG amplitude. This report shows the injection scheme, the design of 450 MeV transfer line and injection equipment. The results of the relevant tests of septum and kickers are discussed.< >
