Studies on short-term online courses in form of the massive open online course have become an e-learning trend in higher education institutions to transfer a sufficient amount of credits' knowledge in a short period.This article focused on exploring the factors that affected undergraduate students' satisfaction when participating in a short-term online course at a key pedagogical university in the South of Vietnam.This was a cross-sectional study with 1720 pedagogical students.The study aimed to explore and understand the factors affecting the satisfaction when studying online courses of pre-service teachers to prepare them with experience and knowledge for future online teaching.The results showed a positive correlation between perceived ease of use; perceived usefulness, information quality; system quality; instructors dimension; support service; subjective norm; perceived behavior control with students' satisfaction when participating in a short-term online course.This is the basis for research team to continue to develop and improve the quality of online courses and provide a theoretical framework on factors affecting learners' satisfaction when participating in a short-term online course for students in countries with higher education online education systems similar to Vietnam.In addition, this study expanded our understanding of the factors that influence the preparation of pre-service teachers to meet the requirements of digital transformation and international integration in e-learning educational trend from a developing country's perspective.

The development of online education brings many opportunities for people to learn for life, improve training, fostering especially the diversification of subjects, learning time as well as learning methods. The construction of online courses that meet the requirements of learners must meet the requirements of output standards as well. The capacity to build an online course is a complex capacity that includes the capacity for digital transformation to ensure effective learning materials, in line with pedagogical ideas and online pedagogical scenarios. Assessing the capacity of digital transformation to have improvement proposals is one of the requirements that contribute to improving the efficiency of building online courses of teachers and lecturers today. In this study, the questionnaire investigation method used was the main method and was formulated with criteria based on the content of the government's new circulars on innovation in education (digital transformation).

The article mentions the impact of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic on online learning in Vietnamese higher education in 2020. This is a qualitative case study, by using in-depth interviews to explore the changes in the perception, methods, and orientation of online learning of students and lecturers at a key pedagogical university when experiencing the three COVID-19 outbreaks in Vietnam. The findings show that the COVID-19 pandemic has a positive impact on the developmental orientation of online learning at the Vietnamese higher education level. Even though at the time of an outbreak, opposition and dissatisfaction with online learning occurred; but through the three outbreaks, together with the efforts of lecturers and students, online learning in Vietnam has recorded remarkable achievements. This is a prerequisite for the development of online education and the innovation of digital technology in education.

The article discusses the satisfaction assessment of students towards the e-Learning course "The introduction to the teaching career"- an e-Learning method (e-Learning course), which is being encouraged to develop in Vietnam. The results of the student satisfaction survey focused on the criteria such as the program and study plan; learning method and activity; lecturers teaching assistants, test - assessment, preparation - class organization, the attractiveness of the course, the appropriateness of the course and the prospects of parallel development with traditional courses or alternative perspectives. The results show that students are satisfied and very satisfied with this course, which opens the prospect of building and developing similar courses in Vietnam.

Using information technology in training and fostering teachers is one of the directions of fundamental and comprehensive reform in general education in Vietnam. Experience from Taiwan in training and fostering teachers is considered as a lesson in implementing the new generation education program. It is necessary to establish the key centers for training and fostering teachers in upcoming time. Information technology and communication make a signigicant contribution to the success of training and fostering teachers. That leading teacher training institutions in Vietnam has been equipped with technique and assistance in program development, training lessons helps to ensure the fact that Vietnam can learn from experience from Taiwan in developing training materials, implementing teacher traning thanks to information technology and communication

Gender is considered as one of the important factors influencing the development of society, relating to many fields such as economy, politics, culture, education, etc. For the past years, Vietnam has actively promoted the gender equality, including the adjustment of the gender gap between the number of the children born throughout the years. However, the forecast results of the number of the children and students attending to school in Vietnam showed that there was quite large gender gap between boys and girls. This leads to the imbalance of gender; as a result, the assurance of the conditions for the education development becomes a challenge. Based on the analysis of the forecast results, the paper mentioned the responsibility of the education managers on the issue of the gender gap in the development of education and sustainable development.
