AbstractThe title compound, obtained besides the "normal" Nd(ClO4)3·6 H2O by treatment of Nd2O3 with HClO4 in an almost stoichiometric ratio, crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group C2/c, Z=4.
AbstractThe structures of the title compounds (I) (space group: P21/a; Z=4) and (II) (space group: P21/n; Z=4) are determined by direct methods from three‐dimensional diffractometer data.

Calcium metaarsenate, CaAs2O6, has been prepared and characterized by means of Guinier-Hägg X-ray powder diffraction data. It is isostructural with PbSb2O6 (Magnéli, 1941) and crystallizes in the trigonal space group P312 with a = 4.824(1), c = 5.080(1) Å. Rietveld full-profile refinements of the crystal structure yielded RF = 0.09. The structure contains CaO6 and AsO6 octahedra.

This chapter elaborates about structural studies on flavin derivatives in different states of oxidation. The object of the present X-ray diffraction studies has been to provide detailed structural information about flavins of biological interest. The structure investigations of the compounds confirm the planar diketo form of the oxidized neutral state of flavins as deduced on spectroscopic grounds. The primary aim of the determination of the structure of di-lumazine trihydrate, 2C6H4N4O2–3H2O, has been to examine the conformation and bonding system in a compound related to flavin derivatives but containing the pyrimidine and pyrazine rings. The structure was refined to an R-value of 4.6% and the molecule is planar within the standard deviations. The bond distances indicate that the π-electrons are delocalized in the pyrazine ring.
