Quality is a factor that can increase product competitiveness. In improving products quality is necessary to control the quality (Quality Control) of the process activities. This study aims to determine the quality control of granulated sugar packaging process by using the seven tool method consisting of check sheet, histogram, Pareto chart, flow chart, scatter diagram, control chart and fishbone diagram. From 30 days observation concluded that the highest type of damage consist of metal detection by 145 bags and torn packaging by 50 bags. Then, from the results of control chart known that out of control process still happen. Both types of damage then revised, and process capability analysis is carried out, so can be concluded that the process is not capable in making the product according to specifications. Therefore, an analysis using fishbone diagram shows that the causes of damage are human, working methods, and machines. From these factors, Standard Operating Procedures can be done as well as designing new machines in packaging process
The manufacturing industry has been growing rapidly at this time, it can be seen from the number of manufacturing companies that have emerged and growing. Obstacles often occur over production activity in a manufacturing company is a long setup times and product quality in production activities which will indirectly affect the output product to be produced. The longer of the setup activities will result in the output of products which are getting smaller. Improved product quality and minimize setup time can be done either by the use of tools manufacturing which is often known as jigs and fixtures. This paper will discuss the design of jig and fixture for manufacture products cover on-off. Jigs and fixtures are designed to be used for the process drilling for three holes. Jig and Fixture design results can provide a reduction in total time of manufacture of the product, product quality improvements, increased productivity and cost saving product manufacture for products cover on-off.
. X adalah perusahaan yang menghasilkan produk part-part mesin industri, sparepart alat berat, dan sparepart tower BTS. Pada proses produksinya masih ditemukan waste terutama pada pembuatan roda sliding dan roda katrol. Untuk mengurangi waste yang terjadi digunakan Lean Manufacturing dengan mengggunakan metode value stream mapping (VSM) dan waste asessment model yang terdiri dari Waste Relationship Matrix ( WRM) dan Waste Asessment Questionnaire ( WAQ). VSM bertujuan untuk menggambarkan aliran produk mulai dari masuknya bahan baku sampai produk jadi. Dan WAM bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi waste yang paling dominan yang ada di lantai produksi perusahaan. Rekomendasi perbaikan dilakukan berdasarkan 5 presentase berdasarkan diagram pareto, yaitu melakukan controlling, melakukan pengendalian persedian yang baik, melakukan kegiatan maitenance mesin, membuat layout penyimpanan bahan baku dan melakukan penerapan 5S. Penggunaan konsep Lean Manufacturing dapat mengatasi permasalahan untuk meminimasi pemborosan. P enggunaan Value Stream Mapping sebagai alat pada konsep lean manufacturing ini dapat menghasilkan aliran informasi mengenai proses produksi dan material sebagai dasar untuk melakukan identifikasi waste . Waste yang terjadi pada proses produksi Stay A R-L Fender RR adalah transportation, motion, process , dan inventory. Analisis yang dilakukan didasarkan pada perbandingan waktu cycle time vs takt time, metode 5 Why dan 5W-1H. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dikembangkan usulan perbaikan yaitu antara lain, pengaturan tata letak mesin , penambahan operator , dan memperbaiki jalur transportasi. KABITA merupakan salah satu toko yang menjual makanan ringan di Bandung dengan omset yang tinggi. Saat ini karyawan melakukan pencatatan data barang serta transaksi penjualan ke konsumen secara manual tanpa menggunakan komputer. Untuk mendapatkan data pembelian , persediaan dan penjualan barang, karyawan harus mengumpulkan nota dan membuat rekapitulasi data pada buku transaksi terlebih dahulu. Pengumpulan nota tersebut membutuhkan waktu yang lama. Kondisi seperti itu menyebabkan terjadinya keterlambatan dalam menghimpun informasi. Sistem informasi toko KABITA dirancang berdasarkan prosedur-prosedur yang saling berhubungan dalam melakukan suatu kegiatan. Fungsi dari sistem informasi yang dirancang pada toko KABITA adalah untuk mempermudah proses pelaksanaan prosedur pembelian, persediaan dan penjualan. Sedangkan penggunaan data mining pada laporan penjualan toko KABITA berfungsi untuk menggali nilai tambah dari suatu kumpulan data yang tidak diketahui secara manual. Dari hasil perancangan ini didapatkan hasil rancangan sistem informasi yang terkomputerisasi dan laporan yang berbasis data mining sehingga waktu pengkoleksian, pencatatan dan pengolahan data menjadi lebih cepat. Keluaran Sistem informasi menyediakan fasilitas yang dirancang secara terintegrasi untuk membantu perusahaan dalam perbaikan proses pemesanan, memperluas pemasaran dan meningkatkan loyalitas pelanggan. Semakin bertambahnya jumlah permintaan akan knob regulator kompor gas, maka pabrik knob regulator kompor gas ingin menambah kapasitas produksi. Proses pembuatan produk menggunakan proses injection molding. Salah satu cara untuk menambah kapasitas produksi pada pabrik knob regulator gas adalah dengan cara membuat mold dengan desain baru yang memiliki kapasitas produksi lebih dari mold yang telah ada. Perancangan ini menggunakan metode Verein Deutsche Inginieuer 2222 (VDI 2222). Tahapan dalam perancangan adalah analisis mengenai informasi yang dibutuhkan dalam merancang desain mold, selanjutnya membuat konsep rancangan desain mold berdasarkan tujuan, setelah itu membuat desain bagian mold berdasarkan konsep rancangan. Setelah tahapan desain mold menghitung biaya pembuatan mold. Dengan desain mold yang baru dapat menambah kapasitas produksi dan menekan biaya produksi pabrik knob regulator kompor gas. Pertumbuhan jumlah permintaan dan tuntutan menjaga kualitas produk tetap baik menjadi tantangan bagi PT. XYZ untuk bersaing di dunia manufaktur. Untuk itu diperlukan pengukuran produktivitas produksi dan usulan strategi peningkatan produktivitas di masa yang akan datang. Model pengukuran produktivitas di PT. XYZ menggunakan model Objective Matrix (OMAX) dengan kriteria produktivitas yang diukur yaitu rasio utilitas jam kerja, konsumsi energi listrik, utilitas tenaga kerja, rasio produk cacat, rasio produk baik, dan rasio kerusakan mesin. Pengukuran Objective Matrix (OMAX) menunjukkan rasio 1 (utilitas jam kerja) adalah kriteria produktivitas yang nilainya dominan berada dibawah standar. Rasio tersebut akan dianalisis menggunakan Logic Tree Diagram untuk mendapatkan usulan strategi peningkatan produktivitas.
