Life is the most precious asset, and thousands of times due to terrible car accidents lives are lost. However, real-time sleep detectors used in cars can significantly prevent these accidents and save precious lives around the world. The main reason is the driver's inattention, which is mainly called driver drowsiness. The driver’s drowsiness monitoring system is used in conjunction with a high-frequency detection system. The system uses the input video stream from the driver to target the driver’s natural visual changes, such as constantly closing the eyes and using artificial intelligence and scientific drowsiness to slow down the rate of changes in facial expressions and detection measures. The proposed work focuses on the different monitoring systems used in drowsiness detection and the process of the detection system. It is recommended to use a driver drowsiness detector connected to a key predictive analytics system. This research work focuses on the analysis of various sleepiness systems in order to perform a better predictive analysis. Machine learning is a very important example of predictive analytics, so this article focuses on various machine learning techniques and their effectiveness in detecting drowsiness in various systems.

Internet of Medical Things ( IoMT ) is a real-time application of IoT only. IoMT has made it possible to collaborate with distinct well-efficient and well-established mechanisms of the healthcare domain. The consolidated endeavor of the Mobile Ad-hoc Network ( MANET ) and IoMT has opened up novel ventures in the field of communication. Considering the COVID-19 scenario, it is no longer safe for patients to attend hospital appointments for on-going severe medical conditions, as they are at high risk of being infected by the CORONA virus. So, the IoMT-MANET can contribute to maintaining the safety of regular patients, as they can now get in touch with their doctors digitally. The contribution of MANET has uplifted the performance of the IoMT environment. MANET has supported IoMT functionality in terms of efficient routing by applying one of its best hybrid routing protocols, Zone Routing Protocol ( ZRP ). In this chapter, it has been proposed to achieve optimization in the communication of IoMT by applying the functionality of a nature-inspired optimization approach IWD ( Intelligent Water Drop ). The IWD approach is well adapted for optimization and is one of the mechanisms that has been very little explored to date. The primary concept of IWD is based upon the behavior of the water drops contained in rivers. It is observed that these water drops always choose the shortest path to their destination. In order to evaluate the efficiency of the proposed approach, a group of standard performance evaluation parameters has been adopted that consist of parameters such as: Packet Delivery Ratio ( PDR ), E2E Delay, overall Throughput, Normalized Routing Load ( NRL ), Packet Loss Ratio ( PLR ), etc. Efficiency depicted through these parameters has enhanced the performance of the proposed approach in comparison with ZRP and a route aggregated ZRP , i.e., RA-ZRP . The field of Information Technology is buzzing with the new paradigm "Internet of Things" (IoT). Being an element of the Future Internet, IoT performs integration of technologies and communication solutions, the envisioned connectivity of heterogeneous devices procreates routing challenges in IoT, and it becomes important to specify how the current standard communication protocols can provide support for realization of this vision. This opens up a new research horizon for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks ( MANET ) protocols. New applications associated with the IoT often involve self-organization and collaboration among many autonomous wireless devices for which traditional infrastructure-based wireless networks are not suitable. MANETs, with their infrastructureless, spontaneous. and arbitrary multi-hop features are considered a popular approach for such scenarios, although they also face certain inherent challenges. Energy-efficient routing is one such area of interest, which require non-conventional paradigms for design and development of protocols. Swarm Intelligence ( SI )-based metaheuristic, owing to their self-organizing nature, prove to be an efficient solution for routing problems, to deliver events in an energy constraint MANET environment. In this chapter, we present an SI-based, energy-efficient hybrid routing protocol for MANETs. The proposed protocol consists of three phases: (i) Cluster Design phase; (ii) ACO-aided cluster head selection phase; and (iii) Data Transmission using route aggregation phase. Integration of the three phases for node clustering, data routing, and transmission, is the key aspect of our proposed protocol, which ultimately contributes to its robustness. Evaluation of simulation results shows that SI performs better in terms of packet delivery, energy consumption, and throughput with increased network life compared to the conventional hybrid routing protocols. One of the direct influences of routing protocol is the performance of route aggregation in MANET. This chapter presents a novel routing protocol that performs a cost-effective, reliable, and robust routing mechanism in MANET, with its highly compatibility with in-network route aggregation mechanism.
RDBMS enables the software systems to manipulate data from a database. Among all the database systems that exist, relational database systems take the major share of the market. Mostly, ER diagrams are used for modeling of RDBMS in design phase. In software applications, application layer is the object-oriented programming language, and RDBMS acts as the backend store. Mostly, UML is being used to model the application layer and ER diagram to model the RDBMS. Modeling of these layers separately creates inconsistency for the developers. Modeling these layers using a single notation, i.e., UML will bridge the gap. Modeling RDBMS using UML to incorporate the database schema as well as the operations to be performed on it. The entire RDBMS information could be scattered across the UML model. Enhancement in the modeling practice will be there using UML as standard for modeling of both layers and proposing new constructs at modeling level for RDBMS. The proposed method identifies different aspects in RDBMS which needs to be captured using UML. The representation of entire relational database system, its components and relationship between them is done using different diagrams in UML. The relationship between entities (tables in RDBMS) is identified based upon some constraints. The proposed method identifies the weaknesses in RDBMS modeling that has been done till now and extracts ways to overcome those weaknesses and propose new constructs at modeling level for RDBMS.

The modern signal processing techniques such as Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) based image coding is computationally complex, so recently, for low-processing power nodes, the Lifting-Based wavelet filters are proposed to be used as a low-complexity wavelet transform schemes. So the proposed research work presented in this paper compares the computational complexity and performance of Haar, 5/3 and Daubechies 9/7 filter based DWT on images using the Lifting Scheme and Conventional Scheme. Later from the results, it is analysed that the computational complexity of the lifting scheme comes out to be almost half of the conventional scheme of computing DWT on images.

Patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) are widely used in the United Kingdom (UK) and internationally to report and monitor patients' subjective assessments of their symptoms and functional status and also their quality of life. Whilst the importance of involving the public in PROM development to increase the quality of the developed PROM has been highlighted this practice is not widespread. There is a lack of guidance on how public involvement (PI) could be embedded in the development of PROMs, where the roles can be more complex than in other types of research. This paper provides a timely review and sets out an emerging framework for fully incorporating PI into PROM development.

It is becoming important because in many Legacy systems, suitable documentation is not available which makes maintenance. The proposed approach extracts hidden information which is useful for maintaining a software. Application modeling and data modeling are essential for the development of the software and are used for designing application and database separately. Generally, in software systems application layer is the object-oriented programming language and database is the backend store. Modeling of these layers separately creates inconsistency. This paper proposes a technique to reverse engineer the database schema to UML model which will incorporate modeling of an object-oriented technology on top of purely relational database. Using this conversion of database schema to UML diagram, the gap between these layers is being bridged. It will provide the understanding of the legacy system in a better way. The database schema is converted into XMI format which can be imported in a UML modeling tool. The proposed approach converts the SQL database schema as well as more frequently used SELECT statements for the schema into UML model which is in the form of XMI. By importing the generated XMI file into MagicDraw, UML model is graphically represented.
This paper presents a novel wavelet-based image coder with low memory and low complexity for achieving better compression efficiency. The presented encoder employs the Fractional Wavelet Filter (FrWF) to calculate DWT Coefficients, which are quantized and encoded using SPIHT algorithm. Compression of Hyperspectral data is a challenge as a third dimension is added into it. It has spectral and spatial correlations, exploiting both the correlations, compression can be achieved. FrWF and SPIHT gives good compression to these images, simulation results have been shown by plotting the graph between PSNR and Bit rate. Hyperspectral images are temporally decomposed using convolution and then spatially decomposed using FrWF to achieve 3D wavelet transform and then 2D SPIHT has been done on each frames to achieve the encoded bitstream. To reconstruct the original image inverse procedure has been done. The effect of increasing temporal decomposition has been shown by plotting graphs between PSNR and Bit rate. Also the effect of filter lengths by using Daubechies 9/7 and 5/3 filters in temporal directions has been shown.
