This article considers a consensus problem of multiagent systems with double integrator dynamics under nonuniform sampling. In the considered problem, the maximum sampling time can be selected arbitrarily. Moreover, the communication graph can change to any possible topology as long as its associated graph Laplacian has eigenvalues in an arbitrarily selected region. Existence of a controller that ensures consensus in this setting is shown when the changing topology graphs are undirected and have a spanning tree. Also, explicit bounds for controller parameters are given. A sufficient condition is given to solve the consensus problem based on making the closed loop system matrix a contraction using a particular coordinate system for general linear dynamics. It is shown that the given condition immediately generalizes to changing topology in the case of undirected topology graphs. This condition is applied to double integrator dynamics to obtain explicit bounds on the controller.
A state feedback controller design is proposed to guarantee stability of a nonuniformly sampled system for arbitrary selections of sampling periods within an interval, assuming the controller can select the sampling period. It is also shown that such an interval always exists when the continuous time system - that is to be sampled nonuniformly - is stabilizable. The proposed method uses singular value assignment to guarantee the stability. Also, special selections for desired singular values are provided to demonstrate that this method can also be used to improve the performance at the expense of the maximum sampling period.
The stabilization problem of nonuniformly sampled systems is considered, provided that the controller/scheduler can select the sampling period. We proposed a method to construct the stabilizing state feedback controller using singular value assignment. The closed-loop system is guaranteed to be stable for arbitrary selection of bounded sampling periods. This method also provides the upper bound for the maximum sampling period.
This paper deals with the stabilization problem of nonuniformly sampled systems, assuming that the controller/scheduler can select the sampling period. In this setting, we proposed a sampling-period-varying state feedback controller that stabilizes the closed-loop system for arbitrary selection of bounded sampling periods. The proposed controller is based on the digital redesign technique, which also makes the closed-loop sampled system state response close to a pre-selected closed-loop continuous system.
In this paper, some theoretical results on controllability, observability and duality for isolated time scales systems are given. It is also shown that eigenvalue assignment via a state feedback (output injection) controller on isolated time scales yields desired system behavior of a continuous system. Furthermore, a method for designing such a controller is introduced.
In this paper, we investigated the eigenvalue assignment problem for continuous time systems with multiple measurement delays. We proposed a state feedback calculation method by using the time scales model of the system. Also, the eigenvalue and time scales selection issues are considered. We present an example to illustrate the validity of our approach.
