With the accelerating global pursuit of sustainable development gaining unprecedented traction, the practice of corporate greenwashing has become a significant restraining factor on developing the green economy. This article selects data from A-share listed companies to study how Confucian culture affects corporate greenwashing behaviors and the mechanisms. The findings of this study indicate that Confucian culture significantly inhibits corporate greenwashing behaviors. This cultural influence appears to function, as it increases media scrutiny and encourages ESG activism among institutional investors. Government environmental regulations amplify this effect, while a company's innovation efficiency appears to partially counteract it. We further observe that Confucian culture's restraining influence on greenwashing is more significant in larger, state-owned enterprises located in China's eastern and central regions. However, increased media attention is correlated with more greenwashing behaviors among smaller firms. These findings offer valuable insights, as they support the promotion of Confucian-based management practices, and they also back the transition of corporations toward genuinely green transformations.
Household sector (HHS) user innovation is recognized as a prevalent type of innovation, initiated for personal use and unrelated to pecuniary transactions. Considering its non-pecuniary logic, this study addresses the non-pecuniarily self-driven motivations of HHS user innovation. We explore how altruistic intrinsic self-rewards (ISRs) motivate HHS user innovation by affecting individual relatedness, competence, and autonomy, based on a large-scale survey in China. Furthermore, we incorporate a social facilitation factor, i.e., the partnership (involving partnership size and partnership closeness), and investigate its moderating effects on the relationship between altruistic ISRs and HHS user innovation. The results indicate that individuals participating in HHS user innovation are positively motivated by altruistic ISRs. Besides, the partnership size strengthens the effect of altruistic ISRs on HHS user innovation while the partnership closeness dilutes the effect. By uncovering this motivation antecedent and the social facilitation conditions, this study provides theoretical contributions to and managerial implications for HHS user innovation.
With the urgency of COVID-19, international appeals encourage worldwide collaborations in rapid vaccine R&D. Rapid R&D projects raise the priority of innovation speed and call for the reconsideration of R&D collaboration mechanisms. This research focuses on R&D collaboration teams and examines the impact of technological proximity on innovation speed and its contingencies absorptive capacity and government involvement. Specifically, adopting the data of COVID-19 vaccine R&D projects from the WHO database, the results indicate that in R&D collaboration, technological proximity among partners makes an inverted U-shaped effect on innovation speed, which is positively moderated by the team's absorptive capacity. However, the moderating effect of government involvement is insignificant. This result provides implications for government officials and developers to balance technological similarity and heterogeneity, choose cooperation partners based on technological proximity, and achieve innovations rapidly.
Purpose This study aims to test the effects of Technology-related Divestitures (TRDs) on firms' exploratory innovation. The moderating effects of firms' internal and external resource coordination activities, resource buffering and bridging, are also explored. Design/methodology/approach A set of data including 1,372 Chinese listed firms from 2009 to 2018 is adopted. Based on propensity score matching sample, random-effect Tobit models were employed to test the hypotheses. Findings The empirical results indicate that TRDs inhibit firms' exploratory innovation, while both resource buffering and bridging can mitigate this negative effect. This implies that to promote exploratory innovation, resource coordination activities are the essential. Originality/value The research findings can contribute to both the exploratory innovation and technological divestiture literature. The test on the moderating roles of resource buffering and bridging can also extend our understanding of the effect of TRDs on firms' exploratory innovation. Accordingly, several practical implications can be provided. This is especially important for strategic decisions of firms from emerging and developing countries, which often lack sufficient internal resources and strong technological capabilities to develop exploratory innovation.
Risk society is full of emergencies, accompanied by uncertainties and losses. Under emergencies, controlling herd behaviour is challenging due to more interactions and changes among individuals. This research establishes Bayes conditional probability models to explain the fair transmission of individual signals and individual decision-making after receiving others' signals. The simulation shows the following conclusions: first, each individual has a fair chance to influence the mainstream information; second, the order in which individuals make decisions during an emergency affects the difficulties and likelihood of making a rational decision; third, the high authority of information can become mainstream and guide individual behaviour; and fourth, two individual characteristics, including risk appetite and personal experience, are important in the fair transmission of individual signals and formation of mainstream information. According to the findings, this research proposes two strategies, including interfering with information and controlling existing key opinion leaders to control the mainstream information within a group in emergencies. These two strategies are proved to be useful in detecting and preventing approaches to alleviate individual herd behaviour, which should be monitored and controlled in machine learning models for individual behaviour simulation and prediction. Compared to previous research that focuses on media and public opinion in emergencies, this research focuses on a specific type of information (i.e., individual decision-making and actions) on the individual level and its effects on herd behaviours within the group. This research complements the explanation of the micro-mechanism of how individuals receive information and make decisions and actions.

Accelerating the promotion of the green transition can help to achieve high-quality development in manufacturing industries. In terms of policies that encourage the transition to green production, carbon trading is a direct and effective means of achieving this goal, and the carbon price is an important regulator in trading. Normally, firms respond to carbon prices by making three behavioral choices: production restrictions, pollution reduction, and the technological transition to green production. This study examines the effect of carbon price volatility on the decision to conduct green production, i.e., transforming to sustainable technologies and processes. In addition, this paper also investigates whether organizational resource slack and organizational technical standards moderate the relationship between the carbon price volatility and firms' green transitions. The results suggest that a steadily increasing carbon price will motivate firms to make a green transition, but if the carbon price is volatile, firms will be reluctant to make a green transition. This tendency to make a green transition is stronger when firms have resource slack and have implemented green technical standards. The findings provide empirical evidence and policy implications regarding how manufacturing firms can accelerate their green transition.

基于快手案例,总结实现BoP市场开发的条件,以及BoP市场普惠的内在机制,构建BoP市场普惠的整合框架.研究发现,互联网平台型企业从BoP市场开发到市场普惠,必须具备普惠发生的条件、连接载体和普惠机制:①满足社交需求、经济可持续性、用连接技术保证相对平等的连接流量,是市场普惠的发生条件;②P2P连接架构是市场普惠的连接载体,形成过程分为连接创建、连接聚合和连接合规3个阶段;③普遍连接和价值平衡的整合、选择与实施,是BoP市场开发中注重商业价值和社会价值平衡、实现市场普惠的重要机制.
大型工程项目呈现出复杂性、系统性、专业技术性、高危性等特点,给工程项目风险管理带来了挑战.大型工程项目风险演化遵循风险源的系统动力学演化过程,文章以动态视角出发,构建工程项目风险演化评价的系统动力学仿真模型,并以大型工程项目中的石油工程项目为例进行仿真验证.结果 发现:在抑制风险演化的因素中,安全意识的边际影响力递增,需要持续性、集中性的投入;而管理制度和技术水平的边际影响力递减,要注重这两种因素的分散投入和最优替代率.同时,工程项目风险演化方式存在“阈值效应”,扭转点不同使得风险管理效率的差异较大.
国家创新能力的提升需要持续进行科技创新实践,需要探索具有中国特色的科技创新理论,满足现实对于中国创新理论发展的要求[1]. 整合式创新理论的提出,是在新时期中国进行科技创新范式探索的一次尝试.它源于中国传统文化中的创新因素,并在考察中国时代发展趋势、国际前沿技术发展技术窗口、科学技术发展战略与方向的基础上提出,是具有中国特色的创新理论[2].
Gender issue is a frontier in the organization and management research. Gender with its social embeddedness is not only an important category of management research, but also an important field of management activities, so it has unique value and significance in management research. It aims to explore the impact of women physiological and gender differences in the workplace on various performance indicators in the organization. This article uses 539 papers related to gender issues published on top international management journals as the literature pool, and then combines systematic review, bibliometrics and content analysis to explore the following questions:(1)In management research, what are the characteristics of “female images”, what management phenomena and problems are reflected, and how to explain them by theories?(2)In the relevant empirical research, especially in testing causal relationships and hypotheses from theoretical explanations, how to measure and analyze gender dimension and related variables?(3)What are the conclusions and practical implications for management research? This article obtains three conclusions on female images in management research: Firstly, the bibliometric analysis of the current research shows that the literature clusters are not based on theoretical research and management phenomena, but on specific images of female characteristics. Secondly, according to the analysis of literature content, female images are divided into five types: different, invisible, paradoxical, isolated and little women, and their corresponding gender issues and theoretical explanations are combed respectively. Thirdly, the measurement method of female images includes direct gender measurement, gender match, gender change and gender ratio. The above analysis takes female images as a clue to effectively solve the problem of interdisciplinary, and establish an inclusive dialogue among diverse studies. Combined with the high degree of social construction and social embeddedness of gender research, this study believes that in the future research, we need to pay full attention to the new social phenomenon, including economic empowerment, the impact of new career types generated by the new economy, and institutional barriers, especially in non-governmental organizations and media. Revisiting gender issues in management research is instrumental to reconstruct theoretical research results from the perspective of gender equality and care. No matter from the construction of humanistic view in the management theory, the social responsibility to undertake management research to promote social harmony and sustainable development, or to do responsible management research, the conclusions output research increment and reference value both in theory and practice.

科学研究与技术创新在推动发展同时产生潜在社会负外部性,引发研究与实践对科技创新治理的关以实现科技创新的社会责任."开放"作为一种组织机制引发了特定创新活动从参与主体、过程演进、环境交互、到结果评价等方面的重审.研究基于责任式创新视角,从科学研究、技术开发、社会发展的全过程,构建了与之相适配的开放科学、开放战略、及开放社会为基础的科技创新责任治理开放机制框架,并聚焦争议性科学研究(预防性基因编译与生殖性克隆)和争议性技术创新(区块链与人工智能)的案例予以论证.研究认为责任式创新视角下科技创新的治理需考虑特定科技创新活动面向科学研究、技术开发、社会发展不同阶段的界面交互与差异化责任准则匹配;开放作为一种核心机制,对应科技创新从科学研究到社会发展的阶段过程,可建构与之相适配的开放科学到开放社会的治理机制,从而为科技创新的责任治理提供借鉴启示.
由于性别的社会建构属性、创新成果形式的多元化,传统的“性别影响评估”作为一种政策分析工具,已经无法完全适用于评价实体和非实体创新成果.为解决这一问题,本研究从过程视角出发,提出“创新管理中的性别影响评估”,包含了筛选、设计、审查和价值实现四阶段和评估工具包(投入-产出-影响模型、影响评估标准矩阵和空间递推矩阵).随后,以失能老人辅助器具的市场探索为例,将性别影响评估应用于该行业.创新管理中的性别影响评估为创新成果本身及其外溢的社会性别影响提供客观评价和反身思考的机会,促进创新成果达成两性共享、服务社会以及社会普惠的价值取向.
This paper focuses on the governance of controversial technological innovation "artificial intelligence"from the perspective of respon-sible innovation,and constructs the emerging technology's responsible innovation governance framework composed of technological,economic, ethical and social dimensions.Based on this framework,it systematically reviews the innovation duality of artificial intelligence in both theories and practices,and provides the implications for the development sustainability of artificial intelligence innovation.
