The absorption coefficients of different energy gamma-ray on the two types of nickel alloy and lead are measured by BH1324 and BH1220 devices.The experimental results show that the mass-absorption coefficient of nickel alloy decreases slowly with the increase of gamma-ray energy,and the values are close to these of lead in the higher energy region.So nickel alloys are suitable to replace lead as the shielding materials for gamma rays.
The concept and significance of the fingerprint spectra of traditional Chinese medicines were introduced and the present status of tobacco analysis was reviewed.Based on the similarity between the above mentioned topics,the importance of the study of digital fingerprint spectra was emphasized.A tentative idea to establish digital fingerpirint spectra of tobacco was proposed(61 ref.cited).
