This paper discussed the factors of influencing the quenching degree and hardenability by changing the content of the material, and changing the speed of cooling the steel, and get the ways to improve the quenching degree is to change the composition to make the Curve C right shift and increase the cooling speed; And the way to improve the hardenability is to improve the carbon content and add the alloying element.
