Bio
Armenio is a researcher in development of molecules for biopharmaceutical purification, drug discovery, biomaterials and diagnostics. The research is conducted at the Bimolecular Engineering Lab, located in the Faculty of Sciences and Technology at the NOVA university of Lisbon. He holds a degree in Biochemistry from the University of Porto, Portugal, and a PhD in Multiscale Modeling from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Modena, Italy. After his PhD studies, Armenio continued its research career by getting a Post-Doctoral position in the Biochemoinformatics Lab of Dr. Alberto Del Rio at the University of Modena and Subsequently at the University of Bologna. His research focus is mainly directed towards the application of computational chemistry methodologies in the study of proteins, development of new drugs and diagnostic tools.
