Career Trajectory
Bio
My research area is legume-rhizobium symbiosis. Our group works on characterization of root nodule bacteria (RNB) associated with native and invasive legumes growing in Indian Thar Desert as well as other parts of India. Rhizobia are characterized at phenotypic, biochemical, symbiotic, molecular, phylogenetic and genomic level. Our group is currently working on nodulation status and the legume-microsymbiont diversity in the Himalayan and sub-Himalayan region of North-eastern India.
