- Develop language models to extract people's perceptions from their social media updates. Application areas include smart cities, transportation networks, utilities, and disaster and emergency management and response.
Web Analytics
- Mine web logs to extract and understand behavior of Web robots.
Software Engineering Education
- Investigate the integration of Open Source Software to teach software engineering courses with emphasis on software maintenance and reverse engineering.
Performance and Dependability Analysis
- Develop measurement-oriented, model-based approach to analyze computer systems. Applications to the Cloud, Middleware, Web-based and Sensor Systems.
