Yasir Javed

Yasir Javed (Senior Member, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree from UNIMAS, Sarawak. He is currently a highly qualified Data Scientist, a Senior Programmer/a Developer with over 18 years’ experience in research, security programming, software development, project management, and analytics. As part of his research, he has interests in data analytics, forensics, smart cities, network security, and education sustainability, instructional development, learning and education sustainability, robotics, unmanned aerial vehicles, vehicular platoons, secure software development, signal processing, the IoT analytics, intelligent applications, and predictive computing inspired by artificial intelligence. He received the outstanding Ph.D. Student Award from UNIMAS, for his Ph.D. degree. In addition, he was awarded a rector’s medal in his M.S. degree and a Distinguished Teaching Award from the President. Listed in Top Researcher Award at Prince Sultan University (PSU) in recognition of his research contributions, he has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles in top-tier journals, conference proceedings, and book chapters. Additionally, he serves as a reviewer for several journals. With regards to his professional experience, he has undertaken a variety of national and international research funding projects and he has also served as an Analyst Programmer with the Prince Megren Data Center, the Center of Excellence, and the Research and Initiative Center, PSU. He serves as the Chair of the ACM Professional Chapter in KSA and he is an active member of the RIOTU Group, PSU.
