The Ceará State University (Portuguese: Universidade Estadual do Ceará, UECE) is a public university in the Brazilian state of Ceará. It is the second largest university in Ceará and the eighth best state university in Brazil.Established in 1975 by the Act No. 9.753 which authorizes the State Executive Branch to create Ceará State Educational Foundation (FUNEDUCE), UECE is the largest state university of Ceará. It is involved in teaching, research and science outreach in many areas of knowledge. Its structure consists of a network of campuses that privileges the courses aimed at the training of teachers. The undergraduate programs in Business Administration, Accounting and Psychology are among the best in the country according to Students Performance National Exam (Enade). It has ten campuses, two of them in Fortaleza (the main campus is called Campus do Itaperi). The other campuses are in the cities of Quixadá, Itapipoca, Crateús, Limoeiro do Norte, Iguatu, Tauá and Pacoti..
Electronic health records (EHRs) in critical care settings generate vast amounts of data that increasingly drive machine learning (ML) models for clinical decision support, yet data quality issues may have profound consequences for downstream prediction, classification, and optimization applications. This study aims to systematically examine EHR data quality issues in critical care medicine and their impact on ML model performance, clinical outcomes, and patient safety. We conducted a systematized review following expert-based questions, searching MEDLINE, Embase, IEEE Xplore, ACM Digital Library, CINAHL, Google Scholar, DBLP, Web of Science, and the Cochrane Library. Six distinct questions addressed missing data patterns, temporal data quality, bias and health equity, multi-modal integration, real-time monitoring, and institutional variability. 281 relevant studies examining EHR data quality in critical care settings. After applying the eligibility criteria, 29 studies were selected. EHR data quality issues in critical care were pervasive and multifaceted. Missing data rates exceeded 80
This paper investigates an abstract Kirchhoff-type suspension bridge model with fractional internal damping. Using the theory of semigroups of bounded linear operators, we establish the existence and uniqueness of global strong solutions for the model. Through the theory of continuous (nonlinear) operator semigroups, we prove that the associated semigroup is gradient and asymptotically compact, which enables us to demonstrate the existence of a global attractor characterized by the system’s stationary solutions. Furthermore, we show that the semigroup is asymptotically quasistable, yielding two important consequences: (1) The attractor has finite fractal dimension and (2) enhanced solution regularity.
Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a neurodegenerative disorder that causes irreversible damage to brain structures through neurotransmitter oxidation, leading to motor symptoms like tremors and muscle rigidity. Although existing therapies target monoamine oxidase B, recent research has highlighted a correlation between adenosine A1 and A2AR receptors in inhibiting dopamine reuptake, as observed in rats. Chlocarbazomycins (CCB), carbazole derivatives with neuroprotective properties, show potential for central nervous system (CNS) therapies. This study examines the structural and bioactivity properties of four carbazomicin derivatives (CCB1-4) using quantum-level Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations, virtual screening, and a predictive pharmacokinetics study. The results showed that different environments (water, DMSO, and chloroform) had minimal impact on the reactivity of CCB1-4 derivatives. Structure-based virtual screening revealed that the heteroaromatic nature of CCB1-4 closely resembles that of adenosine (ADN), the endogenous ligand for A1R receptors. Molecular docking showed that CCB3 had the highest affinity for the receptor, with a binding energy of − 8.6 kcal/mol at the ADN agonist site. Molecular dynamics simulations confirmed the stable binding of CCB3, with a free energy of − 25.9 kcal/mol, suggesting that CCB3 may act as an antagonist to ADN in A1R modulation. The results of predictive pharmacokinetic studies indicate that the compound exhibits high passive cell permeability (Papp, A→B > 10 × 10− 6 cm/s) and low hepatic clearance, which collectively ensure the safe activity of the compound in the CNS. These findings suggest that CCB3 has potential in PD treatment.
