The Mediterranean Diet has been widely recognized as one of the healthiest and most effective eating patterns for promoting longevity and preventing several chronic diseases, including Metabolic Syndrome (MS). Therefore this work aims to review the scientific literature on the effectiveness of the Mediterranean diet in the treatment and prevention of MS and its complications, such as type 2 diabetes, obesity and cardiovascular diseases. The research was carried out through an systematic review, using the PubMed database, focusing on randomized clinical trials published from 2019 onwards. Articles that met the inclusion criteria were analyzed, addressing outcomes related to the control of MS through nutritional intervention. The results indicate that the Mediterranean diet promotes significant improvements in lipid profile, insulin sensitivity, reduction of liver fat and blood pressure control, in addition to contributing to sustainable weight loss. Evidence suggests that this diet can be an essential tool in the prevention and treatment of MS. It is concluded that, in addition to its nutritional benefits, adapting the Mediterranean diet to the Brazilian context is viable, given the rich diversity of local foods.
A healthy lifestyle combined with a good diet is an ally of health, reducing the chances of developing heart disease. Therefore, this study analyzed the influence of diet on the onset of heart disease, analyzing which foods are beneficial and which pose a risk to the cardiovascular system in preventing these diseases, based on cardioprotective diets. This is a descriptive exploratory study, with a questionnaire administered to heart disease patients in a philanthropic hospital. With the results, it was noticed that there is low consumption of fruits and vegetables, as 43% of the patients responded that they consume only 1 to 2 times a week, and the ideal is to consume them daily. Regarding fish, 60% reported that they consume only once a month and about fibers 73% of patients do not consume it and there was a report of frequent consumption of soda, sausages and saturated fats at least 1 to 2 times a week. At the end of the research, an informative folder on cardioprotective nutrition was prepared for patients in the cardiology ward. With this research, it was possible to emphasize the need for an adequate eating habit during life, reducing the chances of the appearance of cardiovascular diseases.

This study analyzes the combination of procedural business, personality rights and arbitration as instruments to strengthen legal certainty in real estate contracts, avoiding excessive judicialization and promoting effective solutions to contemporary demands. The specific objectives are to address personality rights in real estate contractual relations, arbitration as an alternative for resolving disputes and the convergence between procedural business and arbitration from the perspective of legal certainty. The study adopts the deductive method, the descriptive procedure and the bibliographic research technique. It was found that personality rights, traditionally linked to the extra-patrimonial sphere, play a relevant role in protecting human dignity and in the balance of real estate contractual relations. In this scenario, arbitration presents itself as a fast and effective means of resolving disputes in the real estate sector, allowing greater autonomy to the parties and reducing judicial delays. Therefore, the convergence between procedural business and arbitration reinforces the predictability and stability of contracts, ensuring legal certainty without compromising personality rights. It is concluded that the combination of these instruments represents a significant advance in optimizing conflict resolution in the real estate sector, promoting a business environment based on the principle of legal certainty.
The consumption of Japanese cuisine, especially those containing raw fish, has been growing in Brazil, raising concerns about the microbiological safety of these foods. This study aimed to evaluate the hygiene and sanitary conditions and microbiological profile of utensils and equipment in two commercial restaurants specializing in Japanese cuisine. Structural, handling, and temperature control aspects were analyzed, according to criteria established by RDC No. 724/2022 and Normative Instruction No. 161/2022. Samples from refrigerator/freezer surfaces, stoves, and cutting boards were collected by swab and subjected to microbiological analysis for Salmonella spp., Staphylococcus aureus, Listeria monocytogenes, and coliform counts at 45 degrees C. The results indicated that 75% of the samples met the established standards, while 25% presented coliform counts at 45 degrees C above the permitted limit, associated with inadequate fish storage temperatures. No Salmonella spp. or Staphylococcus aureus levels above the permitted level were detected. Despite being classified as adequate with restrictions, the establishments presented non-compliances that require stricter hygiene and sanitation practices. These findings reinforce the importance of implementing good food handling practices and constant monitoring to ensure food safety in Japanese restaurants.
