Background Post-viral diseases, including post-COVID-19 syndrome (PCS) and myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS), cause substantial long-term morbidity. Persistent cardiovascular (CV) risk after acute infection highlights the need for accessible tools to quantify microvascular health. Methods All Eyes on PCS is a prospective, observational study investigating the retinal microcirculation using retinal vessel analysis (RVA). We compared RVA parameters in 102 PCS patients with 204 age- and sex-matched healthy controls (HC, matched from n = 303). Secondary matched analyses included never infected controls (NI, n = 96), recovered individuals (n = 102), PCS patients, and ME/CFS patients (n = 62). Laboratory variables, circulating markers of endothelial dysfunction (ED) and inflammation were compared between cohorts and their associations with RVA parameters were examined. Results Compared with HC, PCS patients showed reduced venular flicker-induced dilation (3.7 {plus minus} 2.2% vs. 4.5 {plus minus} 2.7%, p = 0.005), narrow retinal arterioles (CRAE, 178.3 {plus minus} 15.5 µm vs. 183.3 {plus minus} 15.9 µm, p = 0.009), and lower arteriolar-to-venular ratio (0.83 {plus minus} 0.06 vs. 0.86 {plus minus} 0.07, p = 0.004). Findings persisted after adjustment for CV factors and remained evident in an extended secondary matched analysis across NI, recovered, and PCS patients. ME/CFS patients showed the most pronounced alterations. PCS severity correlated with lower AVR (r = -0.21, p = 0.037) and reduced arteriolar FID (r = -0.21, p = 0.039), particularly for neurocognitive symptoms. IL-6, ICAM-1 and VCAM-1 were elevated in PCS and ME/CFS and lower AVR correlated with inflammatory and iron-related markers (all adjusted p < 0.01). A combined model discriminated ME/CFS patients with good accuracy (AUC = 0.80). Conclusions PCS is associated with persistent ED, most pronounced in ME/CFS patients and linked to symptom severity and ongoing inflammation. Die Akademie für Ethik in der Medizin (AEM) bietet hierzu ein Curriculum und eine freiwillige Zertifizierung an. Eine Befragung unter zertifizierten Ethikberater:innen untersuchte, inwiefern die Qualifizierungsangebote gemäß dem Curriculum für die Praxis vorbereiten. Zwischen Juni und Juli 2021 wurden alle zertifizierten Ethikberater:innen (n = 1623) per E‑Mail oder Post eingeladen. Der anonyme Online-Fragebogen umfasste Fragen zur Person, zur Tätigkeit in einem Ethikberatungsgremium, zur Qualifizierung und zur Praxiserfahrung. Especially as a new university member or PhD student, finding the right tool is time-consuming and complex. The templates for overviews of collaboration tools and storage options described in this work provide an easy comparison of tools while also giving a short introduction to the different tool types. The templates are licensed under CC BY and can be adapted to the offers of other universities and research institutions.

Banken sind dabei in besonderer Weise betroffen: Technologische Entwicklungen wie offene Schnittstellen und Künstliche Intelligenz eröffnen neue Möglichkeiten für Kooperationen, Prozessoptimierung und Effizienzsteigerung. Gleichzeitig steigen die Kundenerwartungen an vernetzte, personalisierte und digitale Dienstleistungen. Der Einsatz neuer Technologien ist bei Banken in vielen unterstützenden Bereichen bereits sichtbar, zum Beispiel KI-basierte Chatbots für Kunden und Mitarbeitende. Die Kernprozesse von Banken zeigen ebenfalls ein hohes Potenzial für die digitale Transformation. Dieses wird heute aber oft noch nicht ausgeschöpft. Daraus ergibt sich für Banken die strategische Frage, ob die digitale Transformation dieses Kernprozesses lohnend ist. Open Finance, basierend auf offenen und standardisierten Schnittstellen, ist eine Entwicklung, die die gesamte Schweizer Finanzbranche prägt. Hier sind die Banken sowohl als einzelne Institute wie auch als Gemeinschaft betroffen. Welches sind die Chancen und Risiken beim Einsatz von Open Finance für die digitale Transformation des Hypothekarprozesses bei Schweizer Retailbanken und welche strategischen Implikationen ergeben sich für eine Bank daraus? Basierend auf Experteninterviews gibt diese Studie Antworten. Einerseits enthält sie einen Überblick über die Chancen und Risiken von Open Finance, andererseits werden strategische Handlungsempfehlungen für Schweizer Retailbanken abgeleitet, um deren Anschlussfähigkeit sicherzustellen.
IT-Strategien wurden bislang aus der Strategie einer Organisation abgeleitet. Aktuell ist ein Trend zu einer Verschmelzung der Organisationsstrategie und der IT-Strategie zu einer Digitalstrategie erkennbar. In diesem Abschnitt wird die Relevanz einer IT-Strategie bzw. Digitalstrategie im Kontext des IT-Controllings behandelt. Zudem werden die Unterschiede einer Digitalstrategie im Vergleich zur klassischen IT-Strategie thematisiert und die Auswirkungen aufgezeigt.
