The levels of potassium and sodium ions and their ratio (Na+/K+) were assessed in the blood serum of 54 healthy donors, as well as 31 patients with Hodgkin’s lymphoma (HL) and non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas (NHL) using the capillary zone electrophoresis. Comparison of the obtained results on the content of analytes with the literature data has shown that the observed values for potassium and sodium ions in healthy donors and patients are within the normal range. However, the K+ content was statistically significantly higher in patients (4.4 ± 0.6 mМ) compared to the group of healthy donors (3.9 ± 0.5 mM; p = 0.0001), which may indicate a tendency towards impaired Na+/K+-exchanging ATPase, electrolyte balance, and metabolic processes in patients with lymphoproliferative diseases (LPD). As a result, the ratio of these cations was statistically significantly lower in patients (32 ± 5; p = 0.0013) compared to the control group (36 ± 4). The analysis of the homogeneity of variance between the group of healthy donors and patients showed that the variances were not homogeneous for the sodium cation (p = 0.0153). The average concentrations of Na+ and K+ ions did not differ significantly between the age groups of 18–50 and 51–85 years in healthy people and patients. The analysis of the homogeneity of variance between the age groups also revealed no statistically significant differences (p > 0.05), with the exception of sodium cation in the age group of 18–50 years, where the variances were nonhomogeneous (p = 0.046). There were no statistically significant differences in the content of potassium, sodium ions and their ratio depending on the type of lymphoproliferative disease: HL and NHL, within the sample under study. This suggests that the content of these analytes does not depend on the type of LPD in this population.
Background: Common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) is an important leguminous vegetable crop but the lack of high yielding and stable varieties is the major constraint. Exploring genetic variability is essential for crop improvement programs. Considering this, the present study focused on assessing genetic variability and associations between yield and its contributing traits to enhance production efficiency. Methods: A two year experiment was carried out at the experimental farm of the Novosibirsk State Agrarian University during the cropping season of 2023 and 2024 to find out the genetic variability parameters, path coefficient and correlation studies in twenty six common bean genotypes. Result: The results revealed high variability among the tested genotypes. The values of phenotypic coefficient of variation (PCV) were greater as compared to the genotypic coefficient of variation (GCV) for all the traits. High heritability along with GAM% ( greater than 20%) was observed for number of nodes per stem (NNS), number of pods per plant (NPP), number of seeds per pod (NSP), seed yield per plant (SYP), hundred seed weight (HSW) and pod width (PL). Seed yield per plant (SYP) had positive genotypic and phenotypic correlation with DF (rg = 0.34 and rp = 0.34), NPP (rg = 0.64 and rp = 0.75), HSW (rg = 0.62 and rp = 0.7) and PL (rg = 0.35 and rp = 0.4). Positive direct effect on seed yield per plant (SYP) was exhibited by traits viz., number of pods per plant (NPP), hundred seed weight (HSW) and days to 50% flowering (DF) in path coefficient analysis.
This study analyzes initiatives aimed at preserving the traditional way of life of the indigenous small-numbered peoples of the North (ISN) in the Sakha Republic (Yakutia). The objective of the research is to conduct a systematic analysis of efforts to assess the role and significance of ISN in maintaining their traditional lifestyles and to identify the main threats to the staffing and demographic sustainable development of nomadic communities. Various methods were employed in this research, including comparative analysis, monographic method, economic-statistical method, and abstract-logical method. Based on retrospective and structural analyses of census data (1990-2020), it was found that the population of ISN has doubled, while the population of the Arctic zone has decreased by 55.6%, indicating a divergence between ethnic identity and attachment to traditional territories. Agriculture in the Arctic zone constitutes a relatively small share of the agro-industrial complex, accounting for 3% of the overall gross municipal product, although some areas show significant results; for instance, in 2022, the Yuryung-Kha rural locality in the Anabar district ranked sixth in agricultural production, with a production increase of 5.3 times. The potential effectiveness is demonstrated by the analysis of production efficiency indicators in the sector, but the concurrent emergence of issues such as a low share of breeding livestock (less than 10%) and dependence on government support confirms that, with targeted assistance, traditional sectors can not only be preserved but also developed. Despite the established institutional framework for the economic activities of clan communities and territories of traditional natural resource management, traditional sectors, particularly reindeer herding, face a complex of systemic threats. A typology of staffing threats for nomadic peoples is presented, along with proposed mechanisms for their mitigation. The conclusion emphasizes the need for systematic state support, including legislative formalization of the status of "nomadic worker" and the development of modular infrastructure in migration areas. The proposed mitigation mechanisms are practice-oriented, affirming their significance in making specific management decisions at the community, regional, and federal levels.
According to the bioclimatic potential and soil conditions, the territory of Western Siberia is suitable for growing spring rapeseed. In 2024–2025, research was conducted to develop the main elements of the varietal technology for growing the new variety of spring rapeseed 00-type Ladny for comprehensive use in the forest-steppe zone of Western Siberia. The vegetation period of the Ladny variety in the forest-steppe zone is 2–4 days shorter than that of the SibNIUK 198 and Sibirskiy varieties, and ranges from 103 to 105 days. The growth of lateral shoots begins from the base of the main shoot, and the lower internodes are shortened, which increases the plants’ resistance to lodging. The elements of the technology were tested in a changing climate in a moderately warm, insufficiently humid agro-climatic region of Western Siberia. The moisture and heat availability indicators varied greatly during the research years, but were generally acceptable for the growth and development of rapeseed plants. The article presents the results of studies on the influence of sowing dates, seeding rates, and methods of sowing spring rapeseed varieties SibNIIM 198, Ladny, and Sibirskiy on yield and its structure elements in the forest-steppe zone of Western Siberia. The influence of technology parameters, meteorological conditions of the growing season, and the characteristics of the variety on seed yield has been revealed. The maximum grain yield of the Ladny variety is achieved when sown in the second and third decades of May (14.1–14.5 centners per hectare) using the row and wide-row sowing methods with a seeding rate of 1.0–1.5 million seeds per hectare. On average, over the two years of research, the seed yield of the Ladny variety exceeds the standard (the SibNIUK 198 and Siberian varieties) by 21 %. The purpose of the research is to develop the basic techniques of varietal cultivation of spring rapeseed in the forest-steppe zone of Western Siberia.
The issues of food security of the Russian Federation are basic for the country’s agricultural production in the context of the elements of national security. To address these issues, a primary analysis of the fundamental conditions of food production in the country’s regions is necessary. The Republic of Khakassia is one of the regions with complex soil and climatic components of the territory for high-commodity agriculture. The limiting factor for the main agricultural zone, the steppe zone, is moisture availability, while for the subtaiga zone it is the sum of active temperatures. Due to such conditions, specific indicators of agricultural land fertility are formed. The weighted average content of humus varies by region from 3.8 to 7.9 %, mobile phosphorus – from 9.7 to 21.2 mg/kg, exchangeable potassium – from 251.5 to 417.5 mg/kg. According to statistics, about 3 % of the total area of cultivated land is used for potatoes and vegetable crops for collective and peasant (farming) farms. Under the condition of applying 5.6 kg of the active substance of mineral fertilizers and 0.1 tons of organic fertilizers per hectare, there is a low yield of potatoes – from 6.64 to 12.8 tons per hectare. According to the results of the potato variety study by the Department of Agricultural Technologies and Veterinary Medicine, the yield of potato tubers in individual varieties can reach 29.2 t/ha (Lina) and 30.9 t/ha (Sarma). The results of the variance analysis showed that the contribution of the “grade” factor was 53.8 %, meteorological conditions during the growing season – 36.2 %, and the interaction of the “grade” and “year” factors was 10 %. The use of highly productive varieties of high reproductions, precise observance of deadlines and agrotechnical requirements of crop cultivation technology, provision of nutrition elements for a programmable harvest based on agrochemical survey results contribute to an increase in gross potato yields by 186.3–272.9 %.
