The digital age has ushered in a period of extraordinary data growth, reshaping industries and enabling unprecedented opportunities for innovation and business development. Sectors such as manufacturing, healthcare, finance, and retail stand at the forefront of this transformation, generating and analyzing vast volumes of data. As organizations strive to capitalize on the wealth of information available, data-driven decision-making has emerged as an essential strategy for driving growth, streamlining operations, and fostering innovation. However, the sheer scale and complexity of modern data landscapes often present significant challenges that hinder organizations from fully leveraging their data resources. These challenges range from managing diverse datasets to extracting actionable insights efficiently. In this context, data visualization has become a cornerstone of effective data utilization. It serves not merely as a means of making data visually appealing but as a critical tool for simplifying complex information and enabling stakeholders to interpret and act on data insights.

The chapter provides insight on the role of employers and also self-help by the employees to ward off isolation due to remote work. Hybrid work, remote work, and telework have become part of the new normal era. Remote work has added its own measure of woes to the trail of negative effects in terms of bonding within family left as residue by the overuse of mobile phones. Isolation and in turn depression are two undisputable negative impacts of remote work. This chapter lists an array of strategies that can be inculcated by the corporate sector to minimize and help their employees overcome the ill effects of isolation. The chapter starts with the meaning and conceptual background of remote work. The strategies to overcome isolation due to remote work form the focal point of this chapter, and these strategies have been listed point wise and explained.

Abstract Amidst anthropogenic pressures, certain forest relics in the urban and rural landscapes have been traditionally protected for centuries as sacred forest groves in the Asian regions, despite lying outside the protected area network. In the current context of climate change and ensuing disasters, these forest groves and similar kind of vegetative landscapes within urban and rural could potentially increase the resilience and buffering capacity of the surrounding environs, besides providing ecosystem services. This study attempted to evaluate 50 Sacred Groves Stands (SGS) and 50 Prosopis juliflora Stands (PJS) comprehensively for the floral diversity, carbon stock and dynamics, carbon-fixing traits, dendrochronology of trees, soil nutrient profiles, and soil erosion - deemed to be regulating ecosystem services. Structural Equation Model (SEM) was applied to derive the photosynthetic efficiency of eight dominant trees species using vital input parameters including eco-physiological, morphological, and biochemical characterization. Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation (RUSLE) model in conjunction with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS 10.3 was adopted to map soil loss. Among the 8 selected tree species, Wrightia tinctoria (SEM Estimated Coefficient: 1.28) > Prosopis juliflora (1.22) > Acacia nilotica (1.21) > Albizia lebbeck (0.97) > Azadirachta indica (0.74) showed comparatively high carbon sequestering efficacy. SEM revealed species specific carbon sequestering functional traits (stomatal density, nitrogen fixing ability, RuBisCO and chlorophyll content) are evidently attributed to high carbon sequestration potential. Carbon source/sink determinations inferred through Net Ecosystem Productivity (NEP) assessments showed that mature SGS (0.06 ± 0.01 g C/m2/day) potentially acted as carbon sink, while matured PJS (-0.34 ± 0.12 g C/m2/day) as source. Soil erosion rates were significantly greater (29.5 ± 13.4 ton/ha/year) in SGS compared to PJS (7.52 ± 2.55 ton/ha/year).

Abstract: Counterfeiting money stands for the illegal replication of original currency; hence counterfeit currency is a fake currency that has not been authorized by the government. Every year the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) faces the problem of counterfeit currency notes once filtered and circulated in the market. Commercial areas like the banks, malls, jeweler stores etc., have machine that use Ultraviolet (UV) light and other techniques to detect the authenticity of the currency. But for common people it is very difficult to detect whether the currency is fake or genuine and they may face losses especially during bank deposits and transaction. This paper proposes a system which is designed such that any person can use it easily and detect the authenticity of the currency by scanning the image of the currency note in the mobile phone. The system is developed using image processing technologies and Convolution Neural Network(CNN) classifier.

In this paper I illuminate several themes that I find of great import in understanding the practice of Philosophical Practice as a process. I do this through a careful consideration of two often disputed texts by Plato: Alcibiades 1 and Plato’s Seventh Letter. I do not wish to defend the authenticity of the authorship of the texts, but simply extol the usefulness and appropriateness of these two lesser considered texts as displaying a number of important teachings that I often use in Philosophical Practice. I take these teachings to be central to Plato’s meta-philosophy and the notion of self-concept.
