Analysis of the chemical composition distribution reveals significant differences among different processed products and plant parts. Xiandihuang (Radix Rehmanniae Recens) contains a greater variety of compounds, and the processing methods significantly impact the types and quantities of compounds, with most components decreasing as processing intensifies. Furthermore, although the leaves and root tubers of Dihuang (Rehmanniae Radix) share consistency in chemical constituent types—including iridoids, phenylethanoid glycosides, ionones, etc.—there are differences in the specific monomeric compounds and their content. They exhibit unique site specificity in the distribution of certain compound classes, such as nitrogen-containing compounds, sesquiterpenoids, and lignans. Iridoids, phenylethanoid glycosides, and polysaccharides are the primary material basis for the pharmacological efficacy of Dihuang (Rehmanniae Radix), demonstrating activities such as hypoglycemic, antiosteoporotic, antitumor, and anti-inflammatory effects. Future research directions may focus on the following aspects: First, directed breeding and gene editing. Based on superior varieties and leveraging their genetic advantages, key genes regulating the biosynthesis of active components like iridoids, ionones, phenylethanoids, and sesquiterpenoids can be precisely located. Targeted modification via gene editing can then be employed for variety improvement. Concurrently, high-density linkage maps constructed from the genetic differences among varieties can be used to analyze relevant quantitative trait loci, providing molecular genetic evidence for the directed breeding of superior rehmannia varieties. Second, pharmacological optimization research based on compositional specificity. Investigating the mechanism of action in specific diseases and the synergistic effects of multicomponents according to the compositional characteristics of different varieties can provide a basis for clinical “variety selection based on syndrome differentiation.”

Objective:To analyze the effect of emotional therapy of traditional Chinese medicine on anxiety,depression and ruminant thinking of patients with human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)AIDS.Method:100 HIV/AIDS patients with anxiety and depression symptoms were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group.The control group received conventional medication treatment,while the observation group received traditional Chinese medicine emotional therapy based on the treatment.Both groups of patients underwent continuous intervention for 3 months.Before and after the intervention,patients were evaluated using the Self Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),Self Rating Depression Scale(SDS),and Ruminative Response Scale(RRS).Result:After intervention,the SAS score of the observation group was(68.450±8.830)points,while the SAS score of the control group was(74.600±9.342)points.The observation group was significantly lower than the control group during the same period(P<0.05).The SDS score of the observa-tion group was(70.525±7.500)points,while the SDS score of the control group was(76.135±7.534)points.The observation group was significantly lower than the control group during the same period(P<0.05).The RRS score of the observation group was(49.290±9.420)points,while the RRS score of the control group was(57.900±11.112)points.The observation group was signifi-cantly lower than the control group during the same period(P<0.05).Conclusion:Traditional Chinese medicine emotional therapy has a certain therapeutic effect on HIV/AIDS patients,which can effectively reduce anxiety and depression symptoms and improve patients'rumination thinking.
Ferroptosis causes cartilage degeneration,synovitis,and extracellular matrix degradation through interactions with lipid peroxi-dation,inflammatory reactions,and oxidative stress,accelerating the progression of osteoarthritis(OA).Ferroptosis is an important cause of chondrocyte death,mainly related to the aggregation of reactive oxygen species,cell structure destruction,and plays a role in synovial hyperplasia and extracellular matrix degradation.Inhibiting inflammation and oxidative stress from the perspective of Ferroptosis provides new targets for the treatment of OA.Duhuo Jisheng Decoction improves cartilage degeneration and delays the process of OA by inhibiting inflammatory reactions,oxidative stress,regulating autophagy,apoptosis,and other mechanisms.Previous studies on Duhuo Jisheng De-coction have mostly been relatively isolated and cannot reflect the overall concept of traditional Chinese medicine treatment.However,the emergence of Ferroptosis links various pathological mechanisms together,which not only benefits the study of OA mechanisms but al-so provides new ideas for the study of Duhuo Jisheng Decoction in prevention and treatment of OA.It can also reflect the overall concept of traditional Chinese medicine and the characteristics of multiple targets and pathways in traditional Chinese medicine.However,the current research on Ferroptosis and its impact on OA is not comprehensive enough,and the crosstalk between different mechanisms is e-ven more complex,requiring further improvement and exploration.

Ferroptosis in the Large intestine can induce ulcerative colitis.From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine theory,the Large intestine belongs to the Fu viscera and conforms to the physiological characteristics of"Shi Er Bu Man",that is,the Large in-testine can temporarily store dregs but cannot store too much Essence.Iron and lipids are essential substances that are absorbed by the human body and become components of the Essence.When iron and lipid overload occurs,ferroposis can occur,leading to ulcerative co-litis.Therefore,the occurrence of ferroposis in ulcerative colitis confirms to the characteristic of the Large intestine being"Shi Er Bu Man".In addition,the defense mechanism of ferroptosis reflects the traditional Chinese medicine characteristics of Yin and Yang harmo-ny,and the"overcrowding"of iron and lipids in the Large intestine can be understood from the Turbid toxin theory.

Objective:To explore the mechanism of Fuzheng Gankang Pill in the treatment of Corona Virus Disease 2019(COVID-19)based on network pharmacology and molecular docking.Method:By searching the TCMSP and HERB databases,the effective ingredients and targets of six core drugs of Fuzheng Gankang Pill were obtained;Detect COVID-19 related disease targets in the Genecards data-base,the National Center for Biotechnology Information(NCBI)database,and the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)database,and select their intersection targets with active ingredients.Using the STRING database for protein protein interaction(PPI)network analysis of intersecting targets,and using Cytoscape software to analyze and screen core targets for the PPI network.Perform gene ontology(GO)enrichment analysis and KEGG signaling pathway enrichment analysis on intersection targets through the Metas-cape database.Retrieve tissue distribution and subcellular localization data of targets involved in key pathways by searching the BioGPS and Genecards databases.Using AutoDockVina1.1.2 for molecular docking of key active ingredients and core targets.Result:The six core drugs of Fuzheng Gankang Pill contain a total of 85 active ingredients and 226 related targets.Retrieved Genescards,NCBI,and KEGG databases to obtain 3 510 COVID-19 disease targets,intersected with active ingredient related targets,and obtained 86 intersec-ted targets.Quercetin,kaempferol,and stigmasterol are the core components.PPI network analysis yielded interleukin-6(IL-6),tumor necrosis factor(TNF),and IL-1β,Tumor protein p53(TP53),JUN,epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR),IL-10,and other key targets are identified.GO enrichment analysis showed that the six core drugs of Fuzheng Gankang Pill mainly participate in bi-ological processes such as cytokine response,negative regulation of cell differentiation,inflammatory response,and regulation of apopto-sis signaling pathways.Cell components such as membrane raft,membrane side,and capsule,as well as molecular functions such as RNA polymerase II specific DNA binding transcription factor binding,protein homologous dimerization activity,etc.KEGG co enriched 191 signal pathways,including 6 key signal pathways,such as AGE-RAGE signal transduction pathway,MAPK signal pathway,NF kappa B signal pathway,of lipid and atherosclerosis,diabetes complications.The key gene targets in key pathways are mainly distributed in smooth muscle,lungs,etc;Subcellular localization analysis shows that it is mainly distributed in the nucleus,cell membrane,cyto-plasm,extracellular matrix,cytoskeleton,mitochondria,endoplasmic reticulum,etc.Molecular docking shows that the binding ability be-tween the active ingredients and core targets in Fuzheng Gankang Pill is good.Conclusion:Fuzheng Gankang Pill may act on IL-6 and IL-1 through core components such as quercetin and wogonin β Regulating NF with core targets such as TNF-κB.Signal pathways such as PI3K/AKT intervene in biological processes such as inflammation,immune response,tissue remodeling,and cell apoptosis,thereby treating COVID-19.
Objective:Based on the metastasis related factors in the tumor microenvironment,to explore the mechanism of Jianpi Xiao'ai Formula in inhibiting the proliferation,invasion,and migration of colon cancer HCT116 cells.Method:14 SPF grade SD rats were ran-domly divided into a drug-free serum group and a Jianpi Xiaocancer Formula group(10.8 g·kg-1),with7 rats in each group.After adapting to feeding,they were given corresponding physiological saline and traditional Chinese medicine by gavage for 7 days to obtain drug-free serum and Jianpi Xiaocancer Formula containing serum.HCT116 cells were divided into a blank group,a 5%drug-free se-rum group,a 10%drug-free serum group,a 20%drug-free serum group,a 5%Jianpi Xiao'ao Formula medicated serum group,a 10%Jianpi Xiao'ao Formula medicated serum group,and a 20%Jianpi Xiao'ao Formula medicated serum group.After treatment for 24 hours,48 hours,and 72 hours,the proliferation ability of each group of cells was tested using the CCK8 experiment to screen the best in-tervention serum containing drugs and intervention time;Transwell experiment on the invasion and migration ability of cells;Western Blot and RT-PCR were used to detect chemokine receptor 4(CXCR4)and transforming growth factor,respectively-β(TGF-β),integrin αv β5(ITG αv β5).The protein and mRNA expression levels of metastasis related factors in tumor microenvironment include serum calcium binding protein A4(S100A4),serum calcium binding protein A8(S100A8),and serum calcium binding protein A9(S100A9).Results:Serum containing different concentrations of Jianpi Xiao'ao Formula can inhibit the proliferation of HCT116 cells,with 20%Jianpi Xiao'ao Formula containing serum intervening for 48 hours having the most significant inhibitory effect(P<0.05).Compared with the drug-free serum group,Jianpi Xiao'ai Formula can significantly inhibit the invasion and migration of HCT116 cells,and significantly reduce CXCR4 and TGF-β,S100A4,S100A8,S100A9,ITGavβ5 protein and mRNA expression levels(P<0.05).Conclusion:Jian Pi Xiao'ai Formula can inhibit the proliferation,invasion,and migration of colon cancer HCT116 cells,and its mechanism may be by reducing CXCR4 and TGF-β,S100A4,S100A8,S100A9,ITGavβ.The expression of metastasis related factors in grade 5 tumor microenvironment is achieved.
Objective:Based on data mining,to organize and analyze the medication characteristics,indications,and precautions of Dazao(jujube)prescriptions in Ben Cao Gang Mu.Method:Using Excel 2016,Clementine 12.0,and IBM SPSS Statistics 25.0 statistical soft-ware,frequency statistics,association rule analysis and cluster analysis were used to analyze the group.Results:A total of 105 prescrip-tions containing jujube were included,with 136 types of traditional Chinese medicine and 17 high-frequency traditional Chinese medi-cine involved.The top 6 drugs with the highest frequency of use were Dazao(jujube),Shengjiang(ginger),Gancao(licorice),Baizhu(atractylodes macrocephala),Renshen(ginseng)and Houpo(magnolia officinalis).The drug types were mainly tonifying drugs,with the main properties being warm and the main flavors being pungent,sweet,and bitter,with the majority being attributed to the Lung and Spleen meridians.The dosage forms were mostly pill,decoction and powder,and the main treatment diseases were Spleen,Stomach dis-eases and infectious diseases.High frequency drug association rule analysis yielded 8 core drug pairs,which were classified into 5 cate-gories through cluster analysis,with Pingwei Powder and Sijunzi Decoction as the main prescriptions.Conclusion:The application char-acteristics of Dazao(jujube)in Ben Cao Gang Mu are"tonifying the Spleen,benefiting the Stomach,nourishing deficiency and strengthening the Zheng Qi".
Objective:To investigate the effect of cordycepin on renal ischemia-reperfusion injury(RIRI)in rats based on ferroptosis.Method:24 rats were randomly divided into a control group,a model group,a cordycepin group(8 mg·kg-1),and an iron death inhib-itor group(5 mg·kg-1),with6 rats in each group.Rats in each group were given corresponding drugs intraperitoneally for7 days.Ex-cept for the control group,all other three groups of rats were used to construct RIRI models.PAS method was used to observe the patho-logical damage of rats'kidneys;Automatic biochemical analyzer was used to detect blood urea nitrogen(BUN)and serum creatinine(Scr)levels;Fe2+content in renal tissue supernatant was detected by using an iron analysis kit;Mitosox fluorescent probes was used to detect mitochondrial superoxide levels in renal tubular epithelial cells;Microporous plate reader was used to detect mitochondrial super-oxide levels;Flow cytometry was used to detect the apoptosis rate of rats in each group;Flow cytometry was used to detect ROS levels in rat kidney tissue and apoptosis of renal tubular epithelial cells;Western Blot was used to detect glutathione peroxidase 4(GPX4),mem-ber 11 of the solute carrier family 7(SLC7A11),ferritin heavy chain 1(FTH1),long chain acyl CoAsynthase 4(ACSL4),nuclear fac-tor E2 related factor 2(Nrf2),the expression levels of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate oxidase 1(NOX1)and cyclooxyge-nase-2(COX2)proteins.Results:Compared with the control group,the model group showed a significant increase in PAS positive staining area(P<0.01),Fe2+,BUN,Scr,ROS,mitochondrial superoxide levels,and cell apoptosis rate(P<0.05).The expression levels of GPX4,SLC7A11,FTH1,and Keap1 proteins were significantly downregulated(P<0.05),while the expression levels of AC-SL4,Nrf2,NOX1,and COX2 proteins were significantly upregulated(P<0.05);Compared with the model group,the area of PAS posi-tive staining in renal tissue of the cordycepin group and I/R + Ferrostatin-1 group was significantly reduced(P<0.01),while the levels of Fe2+,BUN,Scr,ROS,mitochondrial superoxide,and cell apoptosis rate were significantly reduced(P<0.05).The expression levels of GPX4,SLC7A11,FTH1,and Keap1 proteins were significantly up-regulated(P<0.05),while the expression levels of AC-SL4,Nrf2,NOX1,and COX2 proteins were significantly down-regulated(P<0.05).The PAS staining results showed that the expan-sion of the renal capsule and tubular lumen in the cordycepin group and ferroptosis inhibitor group rats was significantly reduced,the glomerular volume was relatively normal,the gap increased and interstitial edema improved significantly,and the integrity of the base-ment membrane was better.Conclusion:Cordycepin can improve renal ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats by inhibiting ferroptosis,and play a protective role in renal function.
"Xingnao Kaiqiao Treatment Principle"is a stroke treatment method proposed by Academician Shi Xuemin in 1972.In re-sponse to the pathogenesis of stroke,which is characterized by"Qiaobi Shenni(closed aperture and hidden mind)induced Shen not guiding Qi",acupuncture therapy guided by the principle of"awakening brain and opening aperture"is aimed at regulating the mind,awakening the brain and opening the mind.Academician Shi believes that the mind and brain jointly control the Shen of man and cal-ming the mind and Heart is essential for regulating the mind,which would ensure smooth circulation of Qi,blood,body Fluids,and the normal functions of the Five Zang organs and Six Fu organs.Acupuncture therapy guided by the principles of awakening the brain and o-pening the mind can treat stroke complications such as hemiplegia,swallowing disorders,vascular dementia,depression,anxiety,and oth-er mental disorders.It can also treat brain diseases such as cerebral palsy and multiple sclerosis in children,peripheral neuropathies such as facial muscle spasms and sciatica,as well as various difficult and complex diseases.
Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of walnut moxibustion combined with calcium dobesilate in treatment of liver-kid-ney-Yin-dificiency type non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy(NPDR).Methods:81 patients with liver-kidney-Yin-dificiency type NPDR were randomly divided into a control group of 40 cases and a treatment group of 41 cases according to the number table method.The control group received oral administration of calcium dobesilate dispersible tablets,while the treatment group received wal-nut moxibustion on this basis.Both groups were treated continuously for two courses of treatment(28 days).Compare the clinical effica-cy,syndrome scores of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),best corrected visual acuity,macular fovea retinal thickness,and central retinal artery hemodynamic indicators[end-diastolic velocity(EDV),peak systolic velocity(PSV),mean velocity(MV),resistance index(RI),and pulsatility index(PI)]between two groups of patients before and after treatment.Results:(1)The effective rate of the treatment group(95.12%)was significantly higher than that of the control group(77.50%),and the difference was statistically sig-nificant(P<0.05).(2)After treatment,the TCM syndrome scores of the control group and the treatment group[(8.61±3.66)points,(5.61±2.24)points]were significantly reduced compared to those before treatment[(16.10±1.77)points,(16.19±1.94)points],with a statistically significant difference(P<0.01),and the treatment group was significantly lower than the control group dur-ing the same period(P<0.01).(3)After treatment,the optimal corrected visual acuity of the control group and the treatment group[(0.44±0.11),(0.52±0.09)]significantly increased compared to those before treatment[(0.35±0.12),(0.34±0.11)],with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05),and the treatment group was significantly higher than the control group during the same period(P<0.01).(4)After treatment,the macular fovea retinal thickness of the control group and the treatment group[(238.54±29.77)μm,(175.66±25.79)μm]significantly decreased compared to those before treatment[(278.64±36.45)μm,(282.06±37.32)μm],with a statistically significant difference(P<0.01),and the treatment group was significantly lower than the control group during the same period(P<0.01).(5)After treatment,the EDV levels in the control group and the treatment group[(3.78±0.79)cm·s-1,(4.16±0.95)cm·s-1]were higher than those before treatment[(2.94±0.82)cm·s-1,(2.92±0.87)cm·s-1],with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05),and the treatment group was significantly higher than the control group during the same period(P<0.05);After treatment,the PSV levels in the control group and treatment group[(9.94±1.39)cm·s-1,(11.59±1.64)cm·s-1]were higher than those before treatment(8.77±1.25,8.75±1.51),with statistically significant differences(P<0.05),and the treatment group was significantly higher than the control group during the same period(P<0.05);After treatment,the MV levels in the control group and the treatment group[(5.79±1.18)cm·s-1,(7.38±1.23)cm·s-1]were higher than those before treatment[(4.92±1.06)cm·s-1,(4.95±1.11)cm·s-1,with statistical significance(P<0.05),and the treatment group was significantly higher than the control group during the same period(P<0.05);After treatment,the RI levels of the control group and the treatment group[(0.72±0.16),(0.59±0.15)]were lower than those before treatment[(0.84±0.15),(0.85±0.14)],with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05),and the treatment group was significantly lower than the control group during the same period(P<0.05);After treatment,the PI levels of the control group and the treatment group[(1.40±0.26),(1.23±0.26)]were lower than those before treatment[(1.61±0.28),(1.62±0.25)],with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05),and the treatment group was significantly lower than the control group during the same period(P<0.05).(6)Both groups of patients did not experience significant adverse reactions during the treatment period.Conclusion:The combination of walnut moxibustion and calcium do-besilate has a significant therapeutic effect on patients with liver-kidney-Yin-deficiency type NPDR,which can significantly reduce the TCM syndrome scores,improve the best corrected visual acuity,reduce the thickness of the macular fovea retina,and improve the levels of hemodynamic indicators of the central retinal artery.
The theory of Five Zang interconnecting is based on the theory of the Five Elements and is rooted in the holistic concept of the correspondence between heaven and man.The Qihua movement of heaven and earth generates the Five Elements,and humans are endowed with the Qi of heaven and earth with birth.The Five Elements in humans become the Five Zang.There is support or restraint relationship between the Five Elements,and the method of Qi transformation between the Five Zang basically summarizes the mechanism of diseases and syndromes in human body.The Kidney is the root of Yin and Yang throughout the body,with both the Heart and Kidney being coordinated like Water and Fire.The Yin and Yang of Liver and Kidney are interdependent,while Lung and Kidney are interde-pendent like Gold and Water.The Spleen and Kidney are used in conjunction as that of nature and nurture,being the core regulation of Yin and Yang as well as Cold and Heat in Five Zang.Tic disorder has the characteristics of diverse symptoms and complex syndromes,and its pathogenesis is often caused by external factors.The underlying pathogenesis is often related to congenital factors.When dealing with symptoms,the Kidney should be the core.By grasping the symptoms and syndromes of the disease,identifying the organs where the pathogenic factors are located,distinguishing between primary and secondary factors,the diagnosis and treatment should be based on the three-step method of"examining the pathogenesis of the disease and prioritizing its causes","prioritizing the Five Zang and subduing their masters","balancing the Five Zang with dynamic differentiation and treatment".
