In the new era,the cultivation of top-notch innovative talents in undergraduate education faces the challenge of effectively transforming external resource investment into the internal development motivation of academic talents.There is a lack of procedural and traceable scales for the development of top-notch students in existing research.This study is based on the policy context and practical context of cultivating top-notch undergraduate talents in China,and proposes the core concept of"academic self-identity"for the development of"top-notch students"through qualitative research.This concept includes five key dimensions:academic self-efficacy,academic value identification,academic recognition by others,academic interest,and academic belonging.This study developed the Academic Self-identity Scale for Top Chinese College Students based on this conceptual framework,and conducted item analysis,factor analysis,reliability and validity tests on survey data from 2,524 sample undergraduate students at T University.The results indicate that the scale has a reasonable structure and good reliability and validity.On the one hand,this study can enrich the academic understanding of the theory of cultivating top-notch undergraduate talents,and on the other hand,it can provide a tracking scale for analyzing the academic development of this special group of"top students".

High-impact educational activities provide a new path for the learning participation and social emotional development of top-notch students in universities.Based on the data from the National College Student Survey,this study uses methods such as OLS regression,generalized exact matching,and quantile regression to explore the impact of high-impact educational activity participation on the social emotional abilities of top-notch students.Research has found that participating in high-impact educational activities has a significant promoting effect on the development of social and emotional abilities of top-notch students,but shows different trends of change;The impact of overseas exchanges on the social and emotional abilities of top-notch students with different abilities varies,presenting a"Matthew effect";The role of high-impact educational activities varies among different disciplines and grades.Participating in science and technology innovation competitions and social practice has a more prominent value in enhancing the social emotional abilities of top-notch students in science and engineering.Participating in freshman seminars is more conducive to enhancing the social emotional abilities of top students in lower grades;In addition,high-impact educational activities have a dual effect of"overlapping advantages"and"compensating for disadvantages"for top-notch students from different family backgrounds.It is recommended to explore the classification and training mode of top-notch innovative talents,improve the international training system,and provide diversified opportunities for high-impact educational activities to promote emotional equity among top-notch students.
Image is a narrative medium that presents messages in the form of pictures,images and other figurative forms.The intuition,richness and immediacy of images bring new opportunities for college students'patriotism education in the context of images,but at the same time,they are also facing new challenges such as the weakening of the rational thinking of the education targets by the entertainment of images,the dissolution of the seriousness of the education content by the vulgarization of images,and the impact of the mainstream discourse by the distortion of images.In this regard,college students'patriotism education should follow the trend and move according to the situation,and optimize the new path of college students'patriotism education in the context of images by shaping the critical thinking of images,building the platform of image resources,and creating the ecology of image governance in three dimensions.
