To meet the demands of meticulous passenger transportation organizations in urban rail transit stations,it is necessary to classify and manage stations based on the characteristics of entering and exiting passenger flows.Based on the entering and exiting passenger flow data collected by the automatic fare collection(AFC),this study proposes a two-layer planning clustering method based on the K-means algorithm to cluster and classify all stations on the entire line from the aspects of the total amount of passenger flow and the temporal characteristics of entering and exiting passenger flows.First,upper-layer clustering was carried out based on the total number of passenger flows entering and exiting.Using this characteristic indicator, different types of stations with various passenger transport scales were identified. Then, considering the temporal characteristics of entering and exiting passenger flows,a feature vector was constructed according to the characteristics of time-varying passenger flow in different periods for lower-layer clustering to identify the temporal distribution characteristics of passenger flow in the station. The classification results were highly consistent with the actual situation, and there were significant differences in the passenger transport scale and temporal characteristics among the stations of different categories. It can be seen that the proposed two-layer K-means clustering analysis algorithm can well grasp the passenger transport scale and temporal characteristics of passenger flow providing a basis for the passenger transportation organization of stations.

In order to address the issue of network voltage fluctuations and energy wastage caused by the frequent traction and braking of urban trains,a charging and discharging control strategy based on the DC side voltage of the traction network is proposed for the flywheel energy storage system applied in urban rail transit. The average speed control method is used to adjust the speed difference of the flywheel array due to different processes and environments. On the basis of the existing control strategy,a no-load voltage identification algorithm is proposed to prevent flywheel malfunctions due to voltage fluctuations in AC medium-voltage power network. Finally, taking the Fangshan Line of Beijing Metro as an example, modeling and simulation analysis were conducted on the traction power supply system with flywheel energy storage system, and on-site experiments were also carried out.The research results show that after applying the flywheel, the difference value between the peak and valley voltage of the traction network decreased by 33.2%,the output energy of the traction substation has been reduced by 23%,verifies the feasibility of the control strategy and the energy-saving effect of the flywheel energy storage system, providing reference for the further application of the flywheel energy storage system in the field of urban rail transit.
This study focuses on train-to-train(T2T)communication technology for train operation control systems.First, the basic principle of the train operation control system based on T2T communication and its key technologies are introduced.Second, the current mainstream T2T communication technologies based on logical point-to-point and physical point-to-point are investigated. Finally, the modeling and simulation calculation and analysis of T2T communication distance are conducted considering the typical operation scenario of T2T communication in urban rail transit;the simulation results show that the T2T direct communication distance in the non-tunnel area is approximately 765.8 m at 1.8 GHz and 923.6 m at 1.4 GHz in the non-tunnel area, while the direct communication distance is approximately 511.3 m at 1.8 GHz and 724.8 m at 1.4 GHz in the tunnel area.If the T2T distance exceeds this range, the logical point-to-point communication method should be used. This study aimed to provide a useful reference and theoretical basis for the design and application of T2T communication systems in next-generation urban rail transit.
Focusing on the challenges of maintenance cost control and limited vehicle maintenance resources in large-scale urban rail transit networks, vehicle maintenance intervals, resource sharing, and commercial modes are discussed in the context of intelligent maintenance, maintenance resource sharing, packaging of vehicle bidding, and maintenance services,as showcased in a case study of Beijing rail transit. After research and analysis, three strategies were proposed:an entire life cycle repair strategy based on intelligent operation and maintenance, centralized maintenance of components based on resource sharing, and packaging of vehicle bidding and maintenance services.
