This research explores how Perceived Organizational Support (POS) and Transformational Leadership (TL) affect Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) among Generation Z employees in Jakarta. Employee Engagement (EE) serves as a mediating mechanism in this relationship. The study draws on Social Exchange Theory, proposing that workers who feel genuine organizational backing and inspirational leadership tend to reciprocate with greater engagement and sustained voluntary extra role behavior. A quantitative explanatory design was used, relying on survey responses from 315 Gen Z employees who had worked for at least one year in Jakarta based organizations. Adapted measurement instruments came from that both POS and TL show significant positive direct effects on EE and OCB. EE also has a meaningful positive impact on OCB and acts as a significant mediator in the POS OCB and TL OCB relationships. The strongest path identified in the structural model is TL to EE, suggesting that transformational leadership behavior plays a particularly important role in shaping engagement levels among Gen Z employees. These findings broaden the social exchange explanation of OCB by positioning EE as a core psychological mechanism. Through this mechanism, organizational support practices and transformational leadership translate into voluntary employee contributions. This represents an empirical contribution with both theoretical and practical value for managing an urban Indonesian Generation Z workforce.
This study investigates the efficacy of training initiatives in Greek public administration through a dual lens: an original empirical survey of 450 civil servants analysed with non-parametric tests, and a comparative synthesis with reforms and statistical data from 2020 to 2026. The empirical component revealed statistically significant improvements in job security, efficiency, adaptability, professional recognition, and digital competence, consistent with Kirkpatrick's evaluation framework and Bandura's social learning theory. However, the analysis also highlighted heterogeneity by educational background and ceiling effects in intrinsic motivation. By contrast, recent post-2020 reforms have scaled training to thousands of employees, embedded learning into legislative frameworks, raised salaries, and integrated artificial intelligence tools such as mAigov into daily administrative practice. High satisfaction levels and rapid digital platform adoption indicate that micro-level survey insights align with broader modernization efforts. The article contextualizes this relationship not as a static divide, but as a dynamic interaction where individual learning readiness provides the absorptive capacity for macro-level administrative reforms in the AI-enabled era.
Polycystic ovary syndrome is the most common endocrine disorder in women of reproductive age and is characterized by hyperandrogenism, ovulatory dysfunction, and a high prevalence of insulin resistance. During pregnancy, these features interact with the physiological metabolic adaptations of gestation and may contribute to an increased risk of gestational diabetes, hypertensive disorders, preterm birth, and altered fetal growth. At the same time, Doppler ultrasonography and fetal echocardiography allow the uteroplacental circulation, fetal vascular resistance, and fetal cardiac function to be assessed in a noninvasive manner, raising the question of how the maternal metabolic profile is reflected in fetal hemodynamic parameters. This review aimed to analyze the relationship between the maternal metabolic and endocrine profile in pregnant women with polycystic ovary syndrome and uteroplacental and fetal hemodynamic parameters, as well as the implications of this relationship for prenatal surveillance. This is a narrative literature review, guided by a structured question based on the PICo strategy and directed at studies on polycystic ovary syndrome in pregnancy, insulin resistance, hyperandrogenism, placental function, Doppler velocimetry, and fetal cardiac function. The evidence indicates that women with the syndrome present higher insulin resistance, higher androgen concentrations, and a greater frequency of obstetric complications, partly independent of body mass index, and that placental structural and functional changes may act as the link between the maternal environment and the fetus. However, studies with standardized Doppler assessment in pregnancies without additional complications have not demonstrated consistent differences in uterine, umbilical, or fetal cerebral pulsatility indices, suggesting that hemodynamic repercussions become more evident when the metabolic disorder progresses to gestational diabetes, hypertensive disease, or fetal growth restriction. It is concluded that prenatal care for these women should integrate early metabolic screening, phenotype characterization, and hemodynamic surveillance guided by risk, rather than routine assessment based solely on the diagnosis of the syndrome.
