Osmanthus (Oleaceae) is considered one of the most confusing genera with regards to circumscription and phylogenetic placement of taxa within the subtribe Oleinae of Oleaceae, with controversies mainly focused on the attribution of section Leiolea. In the present study, we analyzed 71 samples that represent the broad taxonomic, biogeographic, and morphological patterns in the subtribe Oleinae. Based on concatenation of four plastid genes (trnL-F, trnT-L, trnS-G, and matK) and comparison with the ITS region, Bayesian Inference, Maximum Likelihood and Maximum Parsimony phylogenies were inferred. Morphological character traits and geographical distributions of taxa were also studied. These results provide strong support for the segregation of the Leiolea clade (Osmanthus marginatus, O. matsumuranus and O. minor) of sect. Leiolea from Osmanthus. Therefore, the Leiolea clade is instated as the new genus Chengiodendron, with a taxonomic treatment provided. This study provides a clearer understanding of the phylogenetic relationships of genera in the subtribe Oleinae.

[目的]巨紫荆为重要的园林树种,其分类地位一直存在争议,拟对其分类处理予以厘定.[方法]采用了分类文献考证、实地采样调查及形态比较分析和观察相结合的方法.[结果]原定名不符植物命名法规,巨紫荆的名称为无效发表.[结论]将巨紫荆归并入湖北紫荆(Cercis glabra).
The well known ornamental plant, Osmanthus fragrans, is one of the rare androdioecious species in nature. Determining the genetic diversity of this species may assist in its conservation and genetic improvement. Data of 10 ancient tree populations of O. fragrans were used to assess its genetic diversity and population structure with microsatellite markers. A high level of genetic diversity was observed with POPGENE. As anticipated the heterozygosity of ancient hermaphrodite trees was higher than male ones, although the number of hermaphrodites was far fewer than males. Abundant gene exchange between males and hermaphrodites was detected, and trees from the same population often clustered together. Androdioecy is an important factor that determines the genetic structure of O. fragrans and there is an urgent need to conserve ancient O. fragrans germplasms especially the hermaphrodites.
In this study, fluorescence-labeled simple sequence repeat ( SSR) markers were used to fingerprinting the 64 Osmanthus fragrans cultivars under cultivation in China. Eleven pairs of SSR primers screened amplified 143 alleles,with an average of 13 alleles per locus. The average of Ho , He , I, Na and Ne was 0.619 7, 0.848 3, 2.323 7, 17.833 3 and 8.228 2, respectively. The Asiaticus Group had a distance relationship with the remaining groups. Two of OF002, OF019, OSM63 and OSM63 could distinguish all of the O. fragrans cultivars. Sixty-four O. fragrans cultivars with different SSR fin-gerprints of each other could serve as the cultivars-specific patterns and as an important basis for cultivars identification.

随着我国花卉事业的发展,广大花卉爱好者和生产者对花卉栽培的技艺不断提高,管理也更加精细。近年来在桂花产业中出现了不少新优品种,经我们调查研究,发现以前认为桂花是以观花、闻香为主的传统观念有所突破,如今有些新培育的桂花品种,其叶色、幼枝变异非常绚丽,是很优美的观赏植物,为丰富我国的园林景观增色。为此,我们在以前的桂花分类系统中,即有四季桂、银桂、金桂和丹桂等4个品种群的基础上,确定新建一个彩叶桂品种群。

Phoebe chekiangensis,a key state-protected trees,is valuable in both timber and landscape architecture.Thus it is quite essential to give it an unambiguous name for effective scientific communication.According to the rules of latest International Code of Botanical Nomenclature(ICBN),Vienna Code,2005,a scientific name of Phoebe chekiangensis was given.A thorough investigation on literatures and specimens has been made.Phoebe chekiangensis C.B.Shang ex P.T.Li contradicted the rules of ICBN.The lectotype of Phoebe chekiangensis was redesignated here.
We used three informative chloroplast regions ( psbJ-petA, psbA-trnH and trnS-G) and one mitochondrial region (nad7 intron2) for the identification and relationships of Osmanthus fragrans cultivar groups.Four pairs of genes are po-tential to become DNA barcoding of O.fragrans groups for their discriminabilities, especially trnS-G and nad7 intron 2. The phylogenetic results are mainly consistent with the classification of Osmanthus, in agreement with the section divisions of Osmanthus.There is gene exchange within O.fragrans groups or among Osmanthus rather than single origin of O.fra-grans cultivars due to the androdioecy mating system of O.fragrans.
The study took the fresh shoots of Osmanthus heterophyllus‘Goshiki’as the explant,the optimal medium were studied.The results indicated that the optimizing basic media and cytokinin on the culture of stem was B5 and ZT respectively.The optimizing medium was B5+3.0 mg/L ZT in the multiplication of buds.The average propagation coefficient was 3.63.The optimizing medium of rooting was B5+3.0mg/L NAA.The rooting rate was 63.3% and the average number of root was 3.7.The results of this study could provide technical support for plantlets scale production of Osmanthus heterophyllus‘Goshiki’.
Premise of the study: For cultivar classification, identification, and genetic improvement, microsatellite markers were developed to analyze the genetic diversity of androdioecious Osmanthus fragrans cultivars.Methods and Results: Fifteen microsatellite markers were developed from sequences downloaded from the National Center for Biotechnology Information, which included two with null alleles. These primers were screened on 62 typical androdioecious O. fragrans cultivars belonging to four groups (Asiaticus, Albus, Luteus, and Aurantiacus). The number of alleles ranged from two to six, with a mean of 3.7 per locus. The observed and expected heterozygosities ranged from 0.1000 to 0.9091 and from 0.1287 to 0.9167, respectively. Results from structure analyses indicated that Asiaticus and Albus were genetically mixed, and Luteus and Aurantiacus were partially genetically differentiated.Conclusions: These markers will be useful for genetic study of androdioecious O. fragrans cultivars and facilitate cultivar classification, particularly for the cultivar groups Luteus and Aurantiacus.
The research advances and utilization of Cornus L.,including the taxonomic studies,geographical distribution,biological and ecological characteristics,propagation techniques,developmental utilization,medical value,ecological and economical value,and so on were summarized in this review.Based on fully making use of the domestic and international study achievements,it was proposed that the future research should be focused on resource management,germplasm collection,protection,and cross breeding technologies for genus Cornus L.,from the point of view of protection and utilization.
By combining method of field investigation and visit to local people,resources of ancient tree and wild tree of Osmanthus fragrans(Thunb.) Lour.in Quannan County of Jiangxi Province were investigated.The results show that there are rich resources of ancient tree and wild tree of O.fragrans and are distributed in Longyuanba,Nanjing and Pitou towns of Quannan County as ancient individual or group and wild populations.In which,the ancient tree of seed setting accounts for about 15%.Flower color of most wild O.fragrans is similar to O.fragrans Albus Group although wild populations are distributed in different habitats.Proportions of male and hermaphrodite among different populations are similar,more than 0.5.Leaves of most wild trees are explanate and similar to those of some cultivars.According to these investigation results,some suggestions about resources conservation of ancient tree and wild tree of O.fragrans in Quannan County are also put forward.
从形态学及细胞学两方面,运用居群学与主成分分析的方法对卷喙毛茛在中国贵州、云南、重庆、四川及日本鸟取等地区的迁移进化路线进行分析,根据分析结果和毛茛属植物的迁移进化特征可推测卷喙毛茛在我国进化的迁移路线很可能是从南到北即纬度不断增加的方向;同时也对卷喙毛茛作为禺毛茛杂交亲本的看法提供进化支持.
A new species of the genus Ilex L.of Aquifoliaceae,Ilex urceolatus C.B.Shang,K.S.Tang et D.Q.Du,was described in this paper.The species appears to be similar to I.hylonoma Hu et Tang and I.centrochinensis S.Y.Hu,but it has some particular characteristics which can be distinguished from I.hylonoma Hu et Tang and I.centrochinensis S.Y.Hu.The main destinguishing features are that the margin of leaves waved,with 10-19 pairs of sharp spines,the fruit bigger,9-12 mm wide,11-17 mm long,urceolate,never globose or subglobose.The species was found and collected on November 8,2009 in Liping village,Lianyuan city,Hunan Province of China by Du Duo-qing and Tang Kai-shan.The Holotype is reserved in Herbarium of Nanjing Forestry University(NF).
Objective Assessing the genetic diversity by morphological traits and analyzing the genetic relationships among pomegranate cultivars in order to provide essential information for the classification by morphological traits and the exploration and utilization of pomegranate cultivars.Method Based on the observation and records of the genetic relationship of 62 pomegranate cultivars,28 characteristics were studied by means of numerical taxonomic method and cluster analysis was carried out using within-groups linkage and UPGMA method.Result The method of within-groups linkage and UPGMA could also support the cultivars with nearer relatives come together.Using the method of within-groups linkage,the pomegranate cultivars classification could be divided into three groups,such as Danban group and Fuban group,Chongban group,Chong'e group;Using the method of UPGMA,the cultivars also could be divided into Danban group,Chongban group,Chong'e group,but a tiny number of cultivars appeared among the three groups,and the two methods could both support the relative near species of species to come together.When UPGMA method was used to cluster 62 cultivars,it was found that the flower color was an extremely important character,which supported that the flower color,plant height,petal were the important standards of classification of morphology.Conclusion Numerical taxonomic method applied to classification of pomegranate cultivars is basically consistent with the classification by morphological traits,and can support the morphological classification,in the meantime,the variety relationship can be showed,and the flower color,plant height,petal play important roles in clustering analysis.
应用酶联免疫吸附测定法(ELISA)研究了石蒜与中国石蒜不同生长发育期鳞茎内源激素质量摩尔浓度的动态变化,分析了内源激素与2种石蒜生长发育的关系。结果表明,花芽分化前期2种石蒜鳞茎IAA浓度较低,而iPAs、ABA与GAs浓度较高;临近抽葶IAA浓度均有所增加,而iPAs与Zrs、ABA与GAs浓度均降到极值。花期ABA、GAs与ZR s浓度均有所回升,说明高浓度的ABA与GAs对2种石蒜的开花可能起正向调控的作用,但对叶生长的协同规律不明显。内源激素比例分析表明,ZR s/IAA、GAs/IAA、ABA/GAs三者比例高有利于2种石蒜的花原基分化,三者比例低则有助于2种石蒜的叶生长。
