Because of the rich fault and joint in the open-pit west stope slope in Heishan iron mine,large area landslip occurred,and it threatens the safety production.The in-site recorded and described and engineering drill measures were adopted,the properties of fault and joint in the open-pit west stope slope was obtained.The stability of the slope was analyzed,and the countermeasures were proposed.Some countermeasures have conducted,such as,the flood intercepting trench,the reserved broad stairs in 770 m level and shotcrete and rock bolt support strengthen in the broad stairs.It eliminates the threat of safety production with 770 m level upper slope to the lower slope.It grantees safety production in the deep open-pit mine.
