The advantages and shortcomings of conventional casing leak locating were denoted in detail.A new method of using small-diameter and multiparameter casing annulus tester was proposed.A combined test of well temperature was roughly analyzed by using well temperature profile,in which flow rate was tested for judging if fluid was produced for the purpose of locating the leak points.Application shows that good effects is obtained by using the method.

Such problems exist in the traditional technology tubes for water plugging as unavailability of layer location adjustment and change according to the production needs and high activity cost.Aiming at these problems,two new technology tubes,water detection and water plugging by hydraulic control and water detection and water plugging by electronic switches,are developed in Oil Production Technology Research Institute of Jianghan Oilfield Company,SINOPEC.Using these technologies can carry out water detection and water plugging in oil production,without production tube change.What's more,they can repeatedly adjust layers for plugging water in accordance with the production situation after water plugging,thus effectively enhancing the production efficiency of oil wells and lowing operating cost.
