The study was to investigate the effects of chaff of xylo -oligosaccharides from cottonseedhull (CXOC) supplementation on production performance and hormone metabolism in broilers fed on based diets and to determine the optimal ratio of supplementation. 288 one-day-age AA broiler chickens were chosen and divided to 4 groups with control group (feeding basal diets) and test group Ⅰ,Ⅱ and Ⅲ. The experimental diets consisted of based diets supplemented with 10,20 and 40 g/kg cottonseed-chaff respectively. Results showed that:compared with control group,the body weight in group Ⅱ and compared with control group increased by 3.52% (P0.05),0.24% (P0.05) of 21-day-age respectively. The body weight in group Ⅱ increased by 1.31% (P0.05) and feed conversion ratio (FCR) decreased by 2.08% (P0.05) of 42-day-age. The body weight in treatment groups increased by 4.75% (P0.01),4.98% (P0.01),1.47% (P0.05) and FCR decreased by 2.03% (P0.05),0.79% (P0.05),13.30% (P0.01) respectively of 49-day-age respectively. For 35-day-age,serum GH in group Ⅱ and Ⅲ increased by 8.06% (P0.05) and 5.01% (P0.05). Serum ACTH in test groups decreased by 3.14%,31.53% (P0.05),28.07% (P0.05) respectively. Serum T3 in test groups increased by12.89% (P0.05),26.86% (P0.01),22.42% (P0.05) respectively. Serum T4 in group Ⅱ and Ⅲ increased by 22.20% (P0.01),8.87%. Serum Ins in group Ⅰ andⅡ increased by 16.04% (P0.05),20.67% (P0.01). The optimization supplementation is 20 g/kg chaff of xylo-oligosaccharides from cottonseed hull(CXOC) to improve performance and hormone metabolism.

Under the condition of wheat sprayed by formaldehyde to protect protein bypass rumen,the dynamics determination device of rumen smooth muscle in vivo was prepared in this paper to study rumen dynamic changes in 3 buffalos.The results showed that compared with control period,an average increase of ruminal smooth muscle increased significantly by 127.8%(P0.01).Within 15 min,the average rumen motility significantly increased the duration by 76.3%(P0.05) and rumen peristalsis frequency significantly decreased by 34.0%(P0.05).The technique used in this study can quantitatively detect accelerated rumen emptying after wheat protein protection and had a positive synergism in improving the utilization rate of forage protein.
