Combined with Jiamin Viaduct project in Shanghai,a set of simplified design methods are summarized on long cantilever continuous wide box girder bridge deck slab in this paper.The vertical restraint of abutment(located in the centre line of every web under boundary conditions of regular bridge deck slab design method) is optimized from inflexible to elastic;therefore,it can simulate the horizontal force effect of the long cantilever continuous wide box girder under load with meeting the requirement of the design.The method,moreover,can simplify the calculation process and improve the design efficiency greatly.
With the background of Hongmei Viaduct node of Shanghai Middle Ring with narrow small steel box girder hoisting construction plant,non-scaffolding assembling construction plans of main line large span ultra wide steel box girder and small radial curved box girder are introduced.A high-altitude non-scaffolding construction technique by use of existing bridge is proposed through a detailed introduction of rational division of the whole steel box girder,the choice of assembly platform and mechanism,the high-altitude assembly bridge girder erection machine techniques and temporary system transformation,etc.
Pudong Canal Bridge located at S32 Highway is a large-scale 3-span prestressed concrete continuous box girder bridge with varying height straight webplate. According to Code for Design of Highway Reinforced Concrete and Prestressed Concrete Bridges and Culverts (republished in 2004), the bridge type plans selection and structure type design are conducted, and its structure analysis and construction plan are introduced. With its successful completion, Pudong Canal Bridge is providing good service now.
Shanxi Rd. Pedestrian Bridge in Shanghai is of the single 54.5 m span double-hinged steel-concrete composite rigid structure with its cross section varied. From description of the structural design, landscape design and construction method of the bridge, it is concluded that satisfactory results can be obtained with the girder depth of 1.6~2.6 m, rise-span ratio of 1/8.2, natural vibration frequency of 3.06 Hz, and the proposed hinge of thick rebars at the foot of the rigid structure support connected with the disc elastomeric bearing.
Aiming at the special condition of K0 and K1 span of initial union steel structure installation, Shanghai Middle Ring-Hongmei Rd viaduct project has adopt the corresponding pier stud strengthen method. The project technique key points and resolution are introduced in this paper. The author has also discussed the plan and design of pier stud strengthen and the construction procedure of the best plan.
