Many parasites in eggs and oocysts,or host larvae with the faeces excreted through feces,which can determine whether the parasite examination,parasite infection and infection type and degree.Etiological examination is an important diagnostic technique of parasite egg and adult feces collection,do stool examination is the diagnosis of digestive tract have no experimental animal parasitic infections more commonly used methods.There are many kinds of pathogenic methods in laboratory animal feces examination.This article lists and describes some of the more commonly used methods of qualitative and quantitative examination of fecal parasites,aimed at improving the technical level of fecal parasite pathogens.
Objective To investigate the diurnal variations of hematological and biochemical parameters in cynomolgus monkeys.Methods The blood samples were collected in 12 cynomolgus monkeys(6 of each sex) at 9:30(am) ~ 10:30(am),12:30(pm) ~ 13:30(pm),15:30(pm) ~ 16:30(pm) and 19:30(pm) ~ 20:30(pm).The hematological and biochemical parameters were determined with automated hematological and biochemical analyzers respectively.The plasma cortisol levels were determined by high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC).Results White blood count(WBC) and blood urea nitrogen(BUN) increased significantly in the afternoon in male and female monkeys.Hemoglobin(HGB) and hematocrit(HCT) markedly reduced in the afternoon in female monkeys.The activities of asparate aminotransferase(AST) and alanine aminotransferase(ALT) significantly increase in the afternnon in female monkeys.The serum glucose and plasma cortisol reduced significantly in the afternoon in male monkeys.Conclusions Parts of the hematological and biochemical parameters show obvious diurnal variation in male and female cynomolgus monkeys.
Objective To evaluate the influence of long distance transportation on plasma cortisol,serum biochemical parameters,malondiadehyde(MDA)and total antioxidant capacity(TAOC)in cynomolgus monkeys(Macaca fascicularis).Methods Blood samples were collected from male cynomolgus monkeys at different time points of pre-and post-transportation and were used to determine serum biochemical parameters,MDA and TAOC.Results ALT,AST and LDH increased significantly after transportation(P0.05).ALP,GLU and TBIL increased but there was no significant difference.BUN,CREA,TP and ALB decreased significantly after transportation(P0.05).TCHO and CK decreased but there was no significant difference.Except for CK and LDH,all serum biochemical parameters returned to normal levels on the twenty-ninth day.Serum MDA increased gradually after transportation,reached a peak value on the second day(P0.01)and became stable on the twenty-ninth day.Serum TAOC decreased gradually after transportation,reached the trough value on the second day(P0.05)and became stable on the twenty-ninth day.Conclusions Transportation stress could affect the values of most of the serum biochemical parameters and cause oxidative changes in cynomolgus monkeys after transportation.At least,an adaptation period of 29 days should be guarantied for the serum biochemical parameters to return to their normal values and the oxidative versus anti-oxidative status get back to their balance.
