Objective:To explore the application and effect of IVC independent air supply system in nude mice breeding.Method:In June 2016,a room of about 20 m2was selected from the laboratory animal center of our hospital,on the basis of specific pathogen free(SPF) barrier system,the IVC independent air supply system was installed as the study group;the room of the same size was selected and the SPF barrier system was installed only as the control group.At the beginning of the study,6 female rats (nu/+) and 6 male rats (nu/nu) were placed in the control group and the study group,and the cage was placed according to the ratio of male to female ratio (1︰1).As of December 2017,the delivery interval,average number of litter per litter and survival rate of the two groups were calculated.Result:There were no significant differences between the two groups in the delivery interval and the average litter size per litter(P>0.05).The survival rate of the study group was significantly higher than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of IVC independent air supply system in the breeding process of nude mice can significantly improve the survival rate of nude mice,which can provide many high quality experimental animals for clinical animal experiments.
