Objective: By observing the change in pulse manifestation characteristics before and after operation in patients with primary liver cancer,it is to provide data support that traditional Chinese medicine will be applied to perioperative patients with hepatocellular carcinoma. Methods: The pulse graph parameters with left and right hands Guan's pulse were collected by using SMART MX-1 I type pulse instrument 6∶ 30- 8∶ 00 in the morning of 1 days before operation,1,3,5 days after operation. The collected data was analyzed with SAS software. Results: The third days after operation patients' left hand pulse rate were faster than the first day before operation( P 0. 05). After operation patients' right hand pulse rate were faster than the first day before operation( P 0. 05),and the most obvious change was in the third day after operation. Conclusion: Xian( taut) and slippery pulse is throughout the perioperative patients with primary liver cancer. Pulse rate are accelerated after surgery,changing to rapid pulse.
