Objective: To optimize the formulation fertilization mode for Pueraria lobata(willd.) Ohwi. Methods: By taking the total content of puerarin as index, the optimum formulation fertilization mode of four factors of carbamide, calcium superphosphate, potassium sulfate and organic fertilizer(ten levels per factor) was optimized for Pueraria lobata cultivation by uniform design method. Results: Optimum formulation fertilization mode was as follows: 50kg of carbamide, 36kg of calcium superphosphate, 30kg of potassium sulfate and 2m3 of organic fertilizer per mu for the i rst year; 5kg of carbamide, 4kg of calcium superphosphate, 30kg of potassium sulfate and 2m3 of organic fertilizer per mu for the second year. Conclusion: The result can provide scientii c basis for standard cultivation of Pueraria lobata(willd.) Ohwi.
OBJECTIVE: To explore the effects of five-element music therapy on elderly patients with seasonal affective disorder in a Chinese nursing home.METHODS: The patients (n=50) were recruited from a Shijingshan district nursing home in Beijing, China. They were randomly assigned to two groups, a treatment group and a control group, with 25 participants in each group. The patients received music therapy for 1-2 h each week over an 8-week period. The music therapy involved four phases: introduction, activities, listening to the Chinese five-element music, and a concluding phase. The participants in the control group did not listen to the five-element music. This study consisted of two parts: (a) a qualitative study that used focus groups to understand the feelings of the patients with seasonal affective disorder; (b) a quantitative study that involved administration of the self-rating depression scale (SDS) and Hamilton depression scale (HAMD) before and after treatment.RESULTS: (a) Qualitative analysis results: strength derived from the five-element group music therapy and emotional adjustment. The five-element group music therapy can reduce patients' psychological distress and let them feel inner peace and enhance their life satisfaction. (b) No significant difference in SDS and HAMD scores was found between the two groups (P>0.05) prior to treatment. After treatment, the mean SDS score of the control group was 49.9 +/- 18.8, while the treatment group's score was 40.2 +/- 18.1. The HAMD score of the control group was 11.2 +/- 3.1, and the treatment group's score was 8.8 +/- 4.9. Following 8 weeks of music therapy, the SDS and HAMD scores of the treatment group were significantly lower than those for the control group (P<0.05).CONCLUSION: Five-element music therapy alleviated the symptoms of, seasonal affective disorder in the elderly patients. Objective: Kudzu extract puerarin and glucose tolerance factor(GTF) were concerned with the regulation of glucose metabolism and lipid metabolism.This experiment was designed to select a kind of the optimal process of preparation complex of puerarin and glucose tolerance factor by semi-solid fermentation.Methods: Selection of four main factors(each factor 3 levels) and using L9(34) orthogonal table to make semi-solid fermentation by orthogonal test.Results: The best technology was that puerarin added quantity 20g,puerarin added time post-fermentation 24h,nicotinic acid chromium added quantity 200mg,fermentation time 5 days.Conclusion: The data can provide the basis for large-scale industrialized production.
Objective:To study the quality standard for Ganning capsules. Methods:Radix Arnebiae in prescription was i-dentified by TLC,and the content of cantharidin in prescription was detected by HPLC. Results:The characteristic spots of Radix Arnebiae were identified by TLC. Cantharidin showed a good linear relationship at a range of 0.013 8μg~0.124 2μg (r=0.999 9). The average recovery was 98.466%(RSD=1.92%,n=5). Conclution:The methods are available with a good reproducibility and can control the quality of this preparation effectively.
Objective:To observe the effect of Yiqi Huoxue Jiedu Formula on mice renal carcinoma.Methods:①The cell line of Renca mice renal cell carcinoma was treated with Yiqi Huoxue Jiedu Formula,5-FU and RPMI 1640 culture medium,respectively.MTT assay was used to evaluate the cytotoxic effects of Yiqi Huoxue Jiedu Formula on Renca cells.②The model of RCC was established in mice.Comparative analysis between control and experimental groups on the survival of mice and the growth of tumor.Expressions of PTEN,Survivin,VEGF and P-gp were evaluated by the method of immunohistochemistry.Results:Yiqi Huoxue Jiedu Formula inhibited the growth of Renca cells significantly in vivo.The average tumor weight was far lighter than that in control group.Yiqi Huoxue Jiedu Formula significantly increased the expression of PTEN in tumor tissue.And Yiqi Huoxue Jiedu Formula significantly decreased the expressions of Survivin,VEGF and P-gp in tumor tissue.Conclusion:Yiqi Huoxue Jiedu Formola can induce the multiple anti-RCC effect.
目的:研究六经头痛片以提高其质量标准.方法:采用薄层色谱法对制剂中白芷、葛根进行定性鉴别;采用高效液相色谱法测定制剂中葛根素含量,岛津C18柱(4.6 mm×250mm,5μm),流速1 mL·min-,流动相甲醇-0.025 mol·L-1磷酸溶液(20∶ 80),柱温30℃,检测波长250 nm.结果:在薄层色谱中均可检出白芷、葛根的特征斑点;葛根素在0.042 ~0.378 μg线性关系良好(r =0.999 9),回收率98.368%(RSD 1.87%).结论:方法简便可行、重复性好,能有效控制该制剂的质量.
Objective:This study was to explore the relationship between melatonin and the theory of heart corresponding to summer which belongs to the theory of Five-zang organs corresponding to the seasons.Methods:Forty Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into the blank group,the pinealectomy group,the sham-operated group,the heart-Qi deficiency syndrome group.The levels of MLT in serum,ANP in plasma and M-AChR in heart were measured by using ELISA on the day of Xiazhi.Results:Compared with blank group and sham-operated group,the MLT level in serum was decreased in pinealectomy group;the ANP level in plasma of pinealectomy group was lower than that of blank group.The MLT level in serum,the ANP level in plasma and the M-AChR level in heart of heart-Qi deficiency syndrome group were lower than those of blank group.Conclusion:The decrease of plasma ANP in pinealectomy group may be related to the deficiency of MLT.ANP may be a sort of interdiary substance which participates in the regulating process that the MLT acts on the cardiovascular system.The heart-Qi deficiency syndrome rats′ability of corresponding to summer is decreased.
Objective To prepare the transdermal drug delivery system of lidocaine microemulsion and investigate the physiochemical property and in vitro transdermal behavior.Methods Ethylis oleate was as oil phase,Tween 80 as surfactant and absolute ethyl alcohol as cosurfactant.Water titration method was used to prepare lidocaine microemulsion.The pseudo-ternary phase diagram was drawn and Km value was determined.The simplex grid method was used to optimize microemulsion.The steady state infiltration rate and cumulative transdermal amount were taken as indexes.The modified Franz diffuser was adopted to investigate the in vitro transdermal process of lidocaine microemulsion,as well as its morphology and particle size.Results The prescription of optimized microemulsion:ethylis oleate:Tween 80:absolute ethyl alcohol:heavy stem water:lidocaine = 3∶ 20∶ 7∶ 68∶ 2.The microemulsion was light yellow transparent liquid,78 nm in mean diameter.Conclusion Lidocaine microemulsion is stable in quality and good in transdermal ability.It provides the reference to the option of lidocaine percutaneous delivery.
Objective:To develop an HPLC method for simultaneous determination of 9 main constituents(liquiritin apioside,liquiritin,isoliquiritin apioside,isoliquiritin,licochalcone B,liquiritigenin,echinatin,isoliquiritigenin,glycyrrhizic acid)in the roots and rhizomes of Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch.Methods:The analyses were performed on a DiamonsilTM ODS C18 column(250 mm × 4.6 mm,5 μm)with the gradient elution of acetonitrile-0.05% phosphoric acid aqueous at a flow rate of 0.8 mL·min-1.The detection wavelength was set at 276 nm(0-20 min),360 nm(20-30 min),276 nm(30-35 min),370 nm(35-48 min),248 nm(48-55 min)and the column temperature was at 40 °C.Results: Good linearity was obtained for liquiritin apioside,liquiritin,isoliquiritin apioside,isoliquiritin,licochalcone B,liquiritigenin,echinatin,isoliquiritigenin,and glycyrrhizic acid in ranges of 13.1-262 μg·mL-1(r=0.9994),8.3-100 μg·mL-1(r=0.9997),5.2-104 μg·mL-1(r=0.9997),0.96-11.5 μg·mL-1(r=0.9995),0.31-10.00 μg·mL-1(r=0.9999),1.11-22.2 μg·mL-1(r=0.9991),0.23-7.25 μg·mL-1(r=0.9998),0.52-10.40 μg·mL-1(r=0.9996)and 25.25-808.0 μg·mL-1(r=0.9995),respectively.The average recovery(n=6)of the nine constitutions was 103.6%、104.5%、104.9%、100.4%、102.2%、101.5%、100.4%、98.5%、101.7%,respectively.Conclusion:The developed HPLC method is simple and repeatable,which is helpful for the quality control of the roots and rhizomes of G.uralensis.
Objective: To determine the microelements of Pueraria lobata in different production fields by atomic absorption spectrometry(AAS).Methods: The microelements(Na,Mg,K,Ca,Mn,Fe,Cu,Zn) of Pueraria lobata were determined in five different production fields by AAS.Results: The Ca and Mg contents were little different in Pueraria lobata from five different production fields,whereas the others were different.Conclusion: The scientific basis could be provided for the standardized cultivation and clinical medication of Pueraria lobata.
Objective: To study the effect of prescription with functuon of tonifying the kidney on the resistance ability against pathogenic escherichia coli and phagocytic function of reticuloendothelial system(RES)in newborn mice with intrauterine growth retardation(IUGR),and to investigate the theory of TCM:'the kidney being the origin of congential constitution and foundation of reproduction and development of an individual','invigorating the mother to benefit the children'.Method: The pregnant mice were randomly divided into 6 groups.The control group was fed normally.In model group,the pregnant mice were fed with alcohol on the 7th day,ig,12 mL·kg-1,for 14 days.In other 4 experiment groups,the pregnant mice were fed respectively by Zuogui Wan(ZGW,a prescription for reinforcing kidney Yin) or Yougui Wan(YGW,a prescription for reinforcing kidney Yang)or Wuzi Yanzong Wan(WZYZW,a prescription for reinforcing both of kidney Yang and kidney Yin)or Sijunzi decoction(SJZD,a prescription for supplementing Qi) ig,30 g·kg-1,30 mL·kg-1,for 14 days,at the same time.After birth,the newborn mice were infected with pathogenic escherichia coli,the phagocytic functions of reticuloendothelial system(RES)were detected.Result: In the treated groups,the survival rate of newborn mice infected by pathogenic escherichia coli(8) for 24 hours was higher than that in model group(P0.05) and control group(P0.05).The phagocytic function of reticuloendothelial system(RES)in model group(K:1.15±0.14,α:5.68±2.63)was markedly lower than control group(2.14±0.14,9.26±1.67,P0.05).The phagocytic function in the treated group was markedly higher than that in model group(ZGW:2.54±0.12,8.51±1.94,P0.05,YGW:0.98±0.07,8.86±1.76,P0.05,WZYZW:2.28±0.09,8.70±1.32,P0.05).But same result was not found in for supplementing Qi group.Conclusion: Prescriptions with function of tonifying the kidney like ZGW can enhance immunologic functions in newborn mice with IUGR.And this may provide an evidence for the theory-'the kidney being the origin of congential constitution and foundation of reproduction and development of an individual ','invigorating the mother to benefit the children'in TCM from the aspect of immune theory.
Objective:To establish a method for the determination of hydroxyl safflor yellow A(HSYA) in Carthamus tinctorious-containing microemulsion.Method:The HPLC was used with Diamonsil C18(2) column(50mm×4.6mm,5μm),detection wavelength at 402nm,mobile phase methanol-water(pH3.3) 30∶ 70,flow rate:0.8mL/min.Results:HSYA has good linear relationship between 0.3128~3.128μg,r=0.9990,the recovery of HSYA was 99.93% and RSD was 1.86%(n=6).Conclusion:The method is simple,sensitive and reliable to carry out to control the assay of Carthamus tinctorious-containing microemulsion transdermal delivery system.
Objective:This research is to explore the effect of prescription tonifying kidney on hexoxinase(HK)and glutamate dehydrogenase(GDH)in liver tissue of fetuses with intrauterine growth retardation(IUGR).Methods:The pregnant mice were randomly divided into 9 groups.The control group were fed normally.And other control group were fed by Zuogui Pill(ZGP,a prescription for reinforcing kidney Yin).The model mice of IUGR was induced by feeding alcohol.In other 6 experiment groups,the pregnant mice were induced by feeding alcohol and respectively by Zuogui Pill or Yougui Pill(YGP,a prescription for reinforcing kidney Yang)or Wuzi Yanzong Pill(WZYZP,a prescription for reinforcing both of kidney yang and kidney yin)or Sijunzi Decoction(SJZD,a prescription for supplementing Qi)or Siwu Decoction(SWD,a prescription for supplementing blood)or Bazhen Decoction(BZD,a prescription for supplementing Qi and blood)at the same time.19 days later,the activities of hexoxinase and glutamate dehydrogenase in liver issue of fetuses were detected.Results:The activity of HK and activity of GDH in liver tissue of mice with IUGR were both lower(P0.05).ZGW and SWD can both enhance the activity of HK in liver tissue of mice with IUGR(P0.05).ZGP,YGP,SWD and BZD all can enhance the activity of GDH in liver tissue of mice with IUGR(P0.01,P0.01,P0.05,P0.05).Conclusion:One mechanism of prescription for tonifying kidney is to enhance the activity of HK and activity of GDH in liver issue of mice with IUGR.And this may be an evidence of the theories of kidney controlling reproduction and upgrowth and invigorating the mother to benefit the children in TCM.

Objective:Six kinds of microemulsion were prepared according to different proportion of safflower and lidocaine.Then optimum prescription was screened out according to analgesic effect and stasis-eliminating effect of prescription.Methods:Effects of 6 kinds of microemulsion on acetic acid-induced writhing response of mice as well as bleeding time and clotting time of mice were observed.Results:Analgesic effect of the sixth prescription was better than that of other prescriptions(P<0.01).Conclusion:Exploration on optimal matching of safflower-lidocaine was conducted in this experiment,and it provides value to develop transdermal drug delivery preparations of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis.
Objective: To define the optimum proportion of two ingredients in Compound-Carthamus tinctorius microemulsion.Methods: According to uniform design method,6 different doses at 6 different proportions was administrated(transdermal) to observe the analgesic effect to mice by writhing test and the anticoagulant effect by bleeding time by cutting tail.The optimum proportion of ingredients in Compound-Carthamus tinctorius microemulsion was obtained by mathematical analysis combined with pharmacodynamics.Results: The combination of Carthamus tinctorius at 20mg/20g and lidocaine at 2.0mg/20g was appropriately decreased the writhing times and extended the clotting time.Conclusion: The uniform design method could be effectively applied to analyze the multi-drug effects,but the results must be verified by further experiments.

Objective:To optimize vinegar technology of Pueraria lobata.Method:By taking the content of puerarin,daidzin and daidzein as indexes,three factors of the amount of vinegar,moistening time,slow fire frying time were investigated,optimum vinegar technology of P.lobata was optimized by orthogonal test.Result:Optimum vinegar technology was as follows:took a certain amount of P.lobata,added 20% vinegar to moisten 0.5 h,slow fire frying time was 30 min.Conclusion:This optimized technology was stable,feasible and reproducible.
