To support the electronic transaction,a multi-issue autonomous negotiation model based on sellers' multi proposals and buyers' evaluation is presented with the premise of private information and limited time.The strategy of the buyer agent is simplified to evaluate the one or several proposals generated by the seller agent in every round of negotiation.The seller agent,according to time or/and resource dependent strategy,calculates the whole utility concession;and different combinations of conceded issues and the utility reduction of each are decided on the basis of the buyer's evaluation and the negotiation history.Then,several new proposals of the same utility are put forward by the seller.This model helps to relieve the system of communication and computation burden,speed up the convergence of result and improve the efficiency and quality of the negotiation with a good joint utility when the buyer utility function is linear.
Globalized commerce has made logistics collaboration more and more important. Electronic Logistics marketplaces (ELMs) are now offering collaboration functionalities, but the collaboration concept in an ELM has not been studied systematically. In this paper, we identify nine types of logistics collaboration on two dimensions: the parties involved in the collaboration and the level of collaboration. Based on the classification, the opportunities and challenges for supporting each type of logistics collaboration through ELMs are explored. Our findings suggest that logistics cooperation and coordination tends to be supported more suitably than collaboration by ELMs.
Due to the proliferation of online auctions, there is an increasing need to monitor and bid in multiple auctions in order to procure the best deal for the desired good. This paper reports on the development of a heuristic decision making framework that an agent can exploit to tackle the problem of bidding across multiple auctions with varying start and end times and with varying protocols. As the range of potential strategies is huge, we decided to use a genetic algorithm (GA) to search for effective strategies for each of the various environments that we identified. This strategy is termed the intelligent bidding strategy in the remainder of this article. Finally, we systematically evaluate the intelligent bidding strategy to highlight its operational characteristics in different scenarios and present our conclusions and further work.

Collaboration of logistics service chain is a kind of harmonious state as well as the managerial behavior with which members of the chain share resources and co-operate closely and make decisions together in order to gain a common target.Collaboration issues and their formed causes are argued.The mechanism of collaboration is analyzed from economics theories.Finally,the collaborative management system in the context of e-commerce is proposed.
A quantitative tool is necessary in evaluating and deciding the flexibility in the enterprise knowledge management system(EKMS).The components of the flexibility,the subjective and objective factors causing the environment uncertainty and the meaning of the fitting of the flexibility to the environment uncertainty were discussed.The evaluation index system and the measurement method for the flexibility and the environment uncertainty are proposed.From spacial geometry,the method to compute the fitting and its judgment criteria were designed.An example of the computation is also given.
