The limestone region in Southwest Guangxi is defined as a priority area for biodiversity conservation and research not only at provincial but also at national level. Through in-depth investigation in the two nature reserves of this region, 20 angiosperm species from 20 genera and 17 families were found as new records for the flora of Guangxi, including Wuodendron praecox (Hook. f. & Thomson) B. Xue, Y. H. Tan & X. L. Hou, Phoebe macrocarpa C. Y. Wu, Clematis fengii W. T. Wang, Trichosanthes tetragonosperma C. Y. Cheng & Yueh, Sorbus yunnanensis L. T. Lu, Elatostema longibracteatum W. T. Wang, Acer paihengii Fang, Cornus eydeana Q. Y. Xiang & Y. M. Shui, Rhododendron longipedicellatum Lei Cai & Y. P. Ma, Styrax roseus Dunn, Symplocos hookeri C. B. Clarke, Dicercoclados triplinervis C. Jeffrey & Y. L. Chen, Lysimachia pittosporoides C. Y. Wu, Lycianthes marlipoensis C. Y. Wu & S. C. Huang, Justicia multinodis Benoist, Scutellaria sichourensis C. Y. Wu & H. W. Li, Liparis bistriata C. S. P. Parish & Rchb. f., Peristylus tenuicallus Ormerod, Pinalia yunnanensis (S. C. Chen & Z. H. Tsi) S. C. Chen & J. J. Wood and Zeuxine integrilabella C. S. Leou. Among them, Wuodendron B. Xue, Y. H. Tan & Chaowasku and Dicercoclados C. Jeffrey & Y. L. Chen were new recorded genera of Guangxi. All species were annotated by morphological and distribution description, voucher specimens and pictures. In addition, based on collected materials, several key taxonomic characteristics of Trichosanthes tetragonosperma C. Y. Cheng & Yueh and Dicercoclados triplinervis C. Jeffrey & Y. L. Chen were supplemented and revised respectively. Lastly, the biogeographic significance of these newly records as well as protection effectiveness of the reserves in limestone region of southwestern Guangxi were discussed.
A new record species of Ericaceae from Hunan 'Rhododendron praevernum', and its floral morphology and leaf size are described and supplemented in this paper.The number of stamens in R.praevernum, which are remarkably variations, and differences in existing description references result in its difficulty and confusion to identify.This paper will provide some valuable information for further taxonomic revision of R.praevernum.
Based on investigation of vascular plants in Guangxi Wanggangshan Nature Reserve,the result indicated that the plant resources are abundant,represented by 1 216 species (including varieties,subspecies),belonging to 753 gene-ra in 196 families. Among these plants found,there are 1 12 timber plants,408 medicinal plants,40 oil plants,85 fiber plants,25 starch plants,39 fruit plants,32 aromatic plants,39 tannic plants,14 health beverage plants,47 forage plants,79 ornamental plants,24 soil-conserving plants,and 46 rare and endangered plants.
Based on the ethnobotany,the connotation of the Zhuang nationality of the garden plants and the special construction of plants landscape were studied in Zizhou Park,Guilin,Guangxi province.And the effects of the connotation of the Zhuang nationality of the garden plant were analyzed in the process of establishing a modern urban landscape features.The results showed that there were 105 plant species recorded in Zizhou Park during this plant resources investigation,and 74 plant species directly related to Zhuang nationality traditional used species.They were divided into four categories according to their usage,traditional medicinal plants,traditional edible plants,traditional calendar and folk beliefs plants,traditional daily production and life use plants.The mainly Zhuang nationality traditional used species were traditional medicinal and edible plants.Although the Zhuang nationality traditional used species were abundant in Zizhou Park,it is simple level,and lacks of characteristic landscape to highlight the connotation of the Zhuang nationality,and needs further promotion.
Two species,namely Exochorda racemosa and Lysimachia klattiana,are reported as new records to Hunan Province based on a research on the seed plants of Shiniuzhai and its surrounding Danxia landform area,where there are 687 species(including some varieties) of wild seed plants belonging to 422 genera and 136 families.The statistics and results obtained from their intensive analyses at different levels are given in this paper,which show,from a view of their genera distribution pattern,that the main geographical elements are Pantropic(22.22%),North Temperate(17.99%) and E.Asia(16.93%);and that the flora of Shiniuzhai takes its characteristics of a strong tropical nature,vigorous xerophytes and liana,thus affected by the Danxia landform.
通过实地调查和统计分析,将天门山国家森林公园植被划分为3个植被型组.7个植被型,12个群系,其中以常绿阔叶林、常绿一落叶阔叶混交林、落叶阔叶林3个植被型为主.本文较为详细地分析阐述了各个群系,总结概括了天门山植被特征.
Hunan Lanshan Forest Park is rich in Orchid plants.The investigation shows that there are 25 orchid species belonging to 18 genera in the Park,accounting for 30% of the total genera and 16.67% of the species respectively in Hunan Province.The orchid plants are almost found in all kinds of vegetation community.Among them terrestrial are dominant with 17 species(68%),and then five(20%) are epiphytic,and three(12%) are saprophytic.There are 10 distribution-types,in which Tropical Asia and East Asia elements are abvious,and Chinese endemic species are rich.There are four species—a new species;two new records,of which one from mainland China,the other from Hunan Province;a doubtful species—from the 25 orchids.In view of the values of orchid plants,great attention should be paid on their conservation in Lanshan Forest Park.
Based on specimen collection of seed plants from Tianmengshan National Forestry Park in Zhangjiajie,Hunan Province,two genera,thirteen species,and two varieties,belonging to 11 families and 15 genera,were reported as new records from Hunan,China.The newly recorded taxa were Sedum filipesHemsl.,Sinocrassula indica(Decne.) Berger var.viridifloraK.T.Fu,Saxifraga rufescensBalf.f.flabellifolia C.Y.Wu et J.T.Pan,Malus yunnanensis(Franch.) Schneid.,Hovenia dulcis Thunb.,Acer olivaceum W.P.Fang et P.L.Chiu,Bupleurum longiradiatum Turcz.,Agnelica biserrata(R.H.Shan et C.Q.Yuan) Yuan et R.H.Shan,Notopterygium incisum T.T.Ting ex H.T.Chang,Ancylostemon saxasilia(Hemsl.) Craib,Leptodermis potaniniBatalin,Dendranthema vestitum(Hemsl.) Ling,Salvia plectranthoidesGriff.,Allium victorialisLinn.and Polygonatum nodosum Hua.Among the taxa listed above,Notopterygium and Leptodermis were new record genera in Hunan.All of the voucher specimens were preserved in Dendrological Herbarium of Central South University of Forestry and Technology(CSFI).
The systematic enumeration of the important wild ornamental plants were given in this paper,and the main evaluation of their ornamental value were made,Then,the paper provides the key and fundamental for introducing wild ornamental plants,which can improve biodiversity and richness of ornamtal plants in this area.
