Objective]To assess the health effects,especidlly the objective damage of the epithelium mucoous membrane induced by exposure to building decoration materials and indoor products synthetically.The eye conjunctival epithelium damage assay was imported in this study.[Methods]The volatile gases from the small scale environmental chamber and eye part exposure facilities were both appplied in this assay,in which plywood was collected as the tested indoor decoration material,formaldehyde as the evaluated chemistry index and eye as the observed target organ,1% Rose Bengal as the staining solution.The areas of damaged eye conjunctival epithelium were measured before and after the exposure to the volatile gase of tested plywood.[Results]The significant differences were observed between the areas of damaged eye conjunetival epithelilium before and after the exposure to the volatile gases from tested plywood.[Conclusion]The eye conjunctival epithelium damage assay,might be applied as a main index assessing the sanitary quality of plywood.

<span id="ChDivSummary" name="ChDivSummary" class="abstract-text">１９９７ 年１１ 月至１９９８ 年４ 月对某新建小区５ 家住户，某报社办公楼电脑网络中心及某宾馆的客房、ＫＴＶ 包房进行了卫生学和流行病学调查，采用现场监测环境变量，暴露人群的主诉反应调查及线性可视模拟比例尺进行评分。结果表明经营胶合板的商店及上述单位的室内甲醛浓度偏高，而且被调查的暴露人群均不同程度出现了不良建筑物综合征，尤以较多使用装饰材料和新家具的住户为甚，同时也证明线性可视模拟比例尺是一种简便、灵敏、定量地评价室内环境感觉的研究手段。</span>
