Physical development in adolescence is one of the key aspects of the modern society’s well-being. Assessment of physical development in children and adolescents represents an essential component of the pediatric population health status estimation being a clear indicator of the impact of lifestyle, environment, and learningmprocess on the child’s body. The study was aimed to assess the dynamic changes of physical development indicators in the high school-age children in the Samara Region over a decade. The paper deals with the anthropometric data of physical development acquired in 2013 and 2023. A total of 476 children aged 14–16 years were examined (256 boys, 220 girls). Physical development assessment performed in the group of high school-age boys revealed significant changes. Boys of all ages examined in 2023 lagged behind their peers examined in 2013 in the number of individuals with harmonious physical development. Furthermore, a significantly greater number of children with disharmonious physical development due to excess body weight were revealed in 2023. The results yielded by assessing physical development in girls are slightly different: the today’s 14-year-old schoolgirls lag behind girls examined in 2013 in the size of population with harmonious physical development. The body height comparative analysis results have shown that the today’s schoolchildren do not lag behind their peers examined in 2013 in all gender-age groups (p > 0.05). A significant increase in the schoolchildrens’ body weight relative to 2013 is likely to result from the quarantine measures related to the COVID-19 pandemic, which made children stay at home for longer and reduced their physical activity.
Objective. To study the glucagon-like peptide-1 liraglutide use in patients with obesity. Patients and methods. From October 2018 to November 2021, 60 people (34 women and 26 men) aged 36 to 72 years were examined, with a body mass index of >30 kg/m2 and with diabetes or insulin resistance. The duration of inclusion was 2 years, the duration of the observation period was 6 months. Before prescribing medicine, we studied the anamnesis, determination of anthropometric indicators, and the monitoring of laboratory parameters of patients. Liraglutide was prescribed – a starting dose of 0.6 mg / day subcutaneously with an increasing of 0.6 mg at intervals of at least 1 week, to improve gastrointestinal tolerance, up to 3 mg / day subcutaneously for 6 months. Results. According to the results of bioimpedansometry, a significant decrease in body fat mass in kilograms was revealed (the percentage of fat mass also decreased), increasing of musculoskeletal mass, a significant increase in specific metabolism, phase angle was observed. Decreasing of active cell mass was also significantly observed. According to the results of monitoring of blood test and a biochemical analysis, a significant decrease in fasting blood glucose levels was revealed in 88% of women, in 78% of men, decreasing in serum insulin in 82% of women and 65% of men. There were no significant differences in the decrease level of low-density lipoproteins and cholesterol and evaluating the results of analysis NOMA index Significant decrease in body weight and BMI was not revealed, according to the results of anthropometry, but there was an actual decrease in body weight. All three groups were with the same stage of obesity, both in men and women. Conclusion. The study shows that Liraglutide led to the decrease in body fat mass of patients, fasting blood glucose and serum insulin, which is consistent with the results of other studies. Sex differences in the effectiveness of therapy were revealed, decreasing in fasting blood glucose levels was observed in 88% of women and 78% of men, decreasing of serum insulin – in 82% of women and 65% of men. The health of the population is an important indicator of the high level of state development. Morbidity with temporary disability affects the working potential of the population and the economy as a whole. The purpose of the research is to study and analyze occupational morbidity among medical workers in order to further optimize the conditions and nature of work. The morbidity of the working-age population is characterized by a high number of cases and dura tion in days of diseases of the respiratory system, the circulatory system, and the musculoskeletal system. Thus, according to the age and gender criterion, the incidence of the diseases of the circulatory system, blood and hematopoietic organs, respiratory organs, skin, and subcutaneous adipose tissue tends to increase among the young population under 40 years of age, while infectious and parasitic morbidity, diseases of blood and hematopoietic organs, and the incidence of the circulatory system diseases rise among the population over 40 years of age. The results of sociological monitoring showed that in about 70 % of cases, doctors noted a deterioration in their health status, but issued temporary disability leaves only in 30 % of cases. Nursing personnel also issued sick leaves only in 50 % of cases, while they felt a deterioration in their health status in 50 % of cases. The respondents indicated respiratory diseases, infectious and parasitic diseases, and diseases of the musculoskeletal system as the leading cause of temporary disability.
Health of children and adolescents is an essential criterion of well-being of the society. Monitoring of health among children is impossible without assessment of physical development of children and adolescents. Individual-based analysis of anthropometric characteristics is required to develop personalized preventive activities. Considering different levels of physical load of schoolchildren in case of a disturbed nutritional status, an approach to body mass constituent study that deviates from the normal values requires examination. The study purpose was to assess physical development and component composition in schoolchildren during a medical examination and in children involved in classic swimming at a sports club in the city of Samara. The study object involved children studying at a general educational institution and not engaged in any sports sections (first group), and children involved in classic swimming at a sports club in Samara (second group. Significant differences in basic values of body composition were found during the conducted study of physical development and component composition of schoolchildren who do not go in for sports and junior athletes.
The main task of any country associated with sanitary and epidemiological welfare of population is to obtain drinking water of good quality. In the majority of regions of the Russian Federation, quality of water taken from water sources and water supply systems is still unsatisfactory. As far as the extent of human impact on the environment goes, the Samara region is an ecologically unfavorable part of the Volga region. With the accession of the Republic of Crimea to the Russian Federation, the problem of water supply here has been intensified and the question of whether the drinking water corresponds to Sanitary Rules and Regulations 2.1.3685–21 and Sanitary Rules and Regulations 2.1.3684–21 arose. The purpose of the study is to analyze quality of drinking water supply in the regions of the Russian Federation. Drinking water samples taken from the centralized domestic water supply system in the Samara urban district and Republic of Crimea were analyzed using 20 sanitary and chemical parameters. Quality of drinking water doesn’t correspond to the requirements for oil products in all samples; the average value of this parameter exceeded the maximum permissible limit by 0.18 mg/dm3 in the Samara urban district and by 0.04 mg/dm3 in the Republic of Crimea, all the other parameters were within normal limits. However, during the comparative analysis quality of drinking water in the Republic of Crimea was insignificantly better than in the Samara urban district. Quality of drinking water is determined with the source of drinking water supply (surface and underground). Thus, to make the prepared drinking water normal, a respective water treating is necessary. Bad condition of water supply pipes can also produce a negative impact on quality of water obtained by a consumer.

One of the criteria that characterizes the quality of health of the working popu lation is the morbidity with temporary disability. It is characterized by the prevalence of cases of the disease among employees which served as a valid reason for not showing up at the workplace. The main task of the research on morbidity with temporary disability is the formation of an analytical block of information, its further justification and the proposal of a set of measures on a scientific basis aimed at reducing the morbidity of the popula tion at the federal, regional and territorial levels, as well as at the level of a certain sphere of labor activity. The purpose of the study is to investigate the level of morbidity with temporary disability of the population of the Samara Region and individual professional groups to determine the leading groups of pathologies. The accounting form No. 16-VN "Information on the causes of temporary disability" for 2015-2020 was used; a survey of 140 medical workers and 60 social workers was conducted. Statistical and sociological methods of analysis were applied. In 2020, in the Samara Region, there was a significant increase in the incidence rate compared to 2019: for all reasons - by 36.3% in cases and 54.9% in days, due to illness - by 46% in cases and 62.6% in days. A similar trend was observed for the indicators for the city of Samara. Compared to 2019, the indicator of the duration of cases of disability in the Samara Region and the city of Samara for 2020 also tended to increase for all reasons (by 13.7% and 13.9%, respectively) and for the reasons due to illness (by 11.9% and 11.2%, respectively). Respiratory diseases (81.6%), infec tious and parasitic diseases (27.7%), and diseases of the musculoskeletal system (11.4%) were dominant in the structure of morbidity with temporary disability in medical workers. Employees of social service centers had respiratory diseases in the 1st place (75.7%), circulatory diseases in the 2nd place (49.3%), and diseases of the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue in the 3rd place (27.4%). The comparative analysis of the indica tors of morbidity with temporary disability of the population of the Samara Region in the dynamics for 2015-2019 and for 2020 revealed a significant increase in morbidity asso ciated with the COVID-19 pandemic. Differences in the structure of morbidity of medical personnel and employees of social service centers, studied for the period 2015-2019, were established.
Introduction. Today, micromycetes are the most common pathogens found in residential and industrial premises and in the hospital environment. At the same time, mold fungi are the cause not only of allergic diseases but also of mycoses of various localization. Mold fungi are hazardous for patients in hospitals on long-term treatment and exposed to immunosuppression factors. Medical personnel who spent a long time in rooms with high contamination by micromycetes in the air can develop mycogenic sensitization. The aim of this work was to show the quantitative and qualitative composition of fungi surrounding the patient and the doctor in multidisciplinary hospitals. Materials and methods. With the help of a microbiological aspirator, air samples were taken in the premises of class B of surgical and therapeutic departments, followed by sowing on Saburo agar. The identified fungi were identified using classical methods and MALDI-ToF mass spectrometry using Microflex LT (Bruker). Results. In the course of the study, the assessment of fungal contamination of class B premises in treatment and prophylactic institutions was carried out to assess the qualitative and quantitative composition. Also, comparing the composition and number of micromycetes between the premises of departments of different profiles was carried out. A high level of contamination of micromycetes in medical premises of class B - 100% of cases was revealed in studies of objects of the hospital environment. The structure of the identified fungi was very diverse. In all air samples were isolated fungi genera Aspergillus, Penicillium, Mucor, Alternaria, and Ulcoladium. Spores of these fungi belonging to opportunistic or saprophytes are found in the air everywhere. Still, a significant increase in microbial load due to micromycetes can cause such typical allergic diseases as bronchial asthma, allergic skin dermatoses, and allergies of other locations. Conclusion. The study results revealed increased fungal contamination in healthcare facilities that require a more careful approach to compliance with the microclimate parameters.
Traditionally, anthropometric method is used in clinical practice for the diagnosis of excess body weight. Obesity is the excess development of primarily visceral and subcutaneous adipose tissue, which can be diagnosed by bioimpedance analysis (BIA). The study was aimed to assess the role of BIA of body composition in the diagnosis of the physical development disorders in children and adolescents. Anthropometric assessment and BIA were performed in 431 Samara school students aged 12–16 of the health status groups I and II (230 boys and 201 girls). The results were analyzed with the use of the regional regression scores, BAZ indices, and the body fat percentage values. The results of estimation using the regression scores showed that 22.61% of boys and 23.43% of girls were overweight, while more than 2/3 of the sample had a normal pattern of physical development. The BAZ indices revealed a significantly higher proportion of overweight children among boys (25.7%), than among girls (11.5%, p < 0.01). The body fat percentage fluctuations based on the BIA data were found not only in children with disharmonious physical development, but also in 60% of children with normal body weight. Moreover, the data of BIA confirmed the body weight fluctuations, revealed with the use of the regression scores, in the significantly larger number of cases compared to the low body weight and excess body weight, diagnosed based on the BAZ indices. Accordingly, anthropometric analysis with the use of the regional regression scores may be used at the baseline for the early diagnosis of the nutritional status disorders in children. To confirm overweight and obesity in children, as well as to provide further treatment, the reliable method for estimation of the body fat content is required, which may be the method of BIA.
V klinicheskoj praktike dlya diagnostiki izbytochnoj massy tela i ozhireniya tradicionno ispol'zuyut antropometricheskij metod. Ozhirenie — eto izbytochnoe razvitie prezhde vsego visceral'noj i podkozhnoj zhirovoj tkani, kotoroe mozhet byt' diagnostirovano metodom bioimpedansometrii (BIA). Cel'yu issledovaniya bylo ocenit' rol' bioimpedansnogo analiza sostava tela v diagnostike narushenij fizicheskogo razvitiya detej i podrostkov. Objective. Monitoring of the organization of meals and hygienic assessment of the quality of school menus in educational institutions of the Samara region. Materials and methods. Data on the organization and quality of meals in 57 secondary educational institutions of the Samara region were obtained through a sanitary and hygienic description and examination of schools, as well as a questionnaire survey of employees responsible for food. To assess the quality of school rations, an analysis of the nutritional structure was carried out, the coefficient of provision with nutrients and products was calculated, as well as the healthy eating index. Results. There were cases of realization of food and beverages prohibited for children in canteens, low coverage with two meals (10% in grades 1–9 and 3% in grades 10–11), and isolated cases of short duration of breaks for meals (15 minutes). The diet was characterized by an increased energy value (M = 1789.64 ± 138.19 kcal) and a greater excess of carbohydrates (M = 291.99 ± 12.51) due to the predominance of cereals and pasta in the meal structure. The Healthy Eating Index for students was satisfactory, owing to low consumption of fruits, dairy and seafood, and the presence of refined grains in the diet. Conclusion. The identified problems in the organization of school meals increase the likelihood of the development of alimentarydependent diseases among students. From a practical point of view, the appointment and proper hygienic training of personnel responsible for food in educational instituitons is required. Morbidity with temporary disability among the population of the Samara region has a strong tendency to increase, especially people over 40 years. The main causes of disability are diseases of the blood and blood-forming organs, some infectious and parasitic diseases and diseases of the circulatory system.
The paper presents the comparative studies' results of the snow cover quality in the intracity districts of Samara and its surrounding areas at a distance of up to 1000 m from the oil refinery during 2017-2018. We have identified a high extent of pollution on a set of indicators caused by anthropo-technogenic influence (the content of hydrocarbons, suspended solids, difficult-to-oxidize organic matter (by chemical oxygen demand), some metals, etc.). Many important sanitary and hygienic indicators (a significant part of hydrocarbons, benzo[a]pyrene) were not found in filtered snow water, but ones were determined in suspended solids. Comparative analysis for the chemical composition of snow cover on the territory close to the oil refinery and on the streets in Samara revealed no significant differences. In this regard, it is possible to assume a significant contribution of motor vehicles to anthropo-technogenic environmental pollution. It is important to take into account that when snow is melting it can be a source of secondary pollution of soil, waste- and groundwater, therefore it is necessary to periodically monitor the snow cover quality as an integral part of monitoring environment state and take measures to prevent adverse effects of human activities (redistribution of traffic flow of transit heavy vehicle, notification of industrial enterprises in order to reduce noxious emissions for the period of forecasting adverse weather conditions).

According to the results of a comprehensive assessment of the actual nutrition and nutritional status of persons of working age revealed violations of the principles of nutrition: excessive consumption of fats, simple carbohydrates, added salt, violation of the regime and structure of nutrition. The contribution of protein to the caloric content of the diet was 11 %, total carbohydrates-48%, total fat-41%, added sugar-16 %, revealed a high probable risk of insufficient intake of vitamins B2, A, D, C. In workers with low physical activity indicators of nutritional status (BMI, amount of fat mass) according to bioimpedance were significantly higher compared to the group of workers with average physical activity. As a result of the study, risk groups for the development of alimentary-dependent diseases were formed, a program of preventive measures aimed at reducing the influence of alimentary factors on the development of diseases, including those caused by the correction of eating behavior, was proposed.

The proportion of obese and overweight children is alarmingly high. This dictates the need for promoting healthy lifestyle and eating habits in children. Summer camps provide a wide range of activities to improve children’s health. However, methods used to assess children’s nutritional status during a camp session need to be analyzed in depth, and a rationale should be provided for the use of bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) and anthropometric measurements as efficacy criteria for summer camp healthcare. We examined 125 boys and 221 girls aged 8–15 years spending their summer holidays at 3 different camps. Measurements were taken twice: on days 1 and 2 upon arrival to a camp and 2 days before leaving for home. In each camp, both positive and negative health weight dynamics were observed. The overall weight dynamics in children from camps 1 and 2 were statistically insignificant (p = 0.415 and p = 0.585), in contrast to camp 3 where those changes were significant (p = 0.025). BIA revealed that less than 44.34% of children had gained skeletal muscle mass during their stay at the camp, whereas weight loss was associated with both decreased fat and skeletal muscle masses. BIA confirms the results of anthropometric measurements and also provides information about the diet offered to children and their level of physical activity. Therefore, the use of anthropometric measurements and BIA could be an informative method for assessing the efficacy of healthcare in summer camps.
Objective: an analysis of the conditions and nature of the work of public health workers in the city of Samara, according to their own research and the results of a special assessment of working conditions for the development of preventive measures. Material and Methods.
