The problem of qualitative and quantitative evaluation of uniformity of the macro- and microstructure forming of cellulosic materials is still being solved both from the standpoint of theoretical justification and description, and in the applied (production) aspect. One of the areas of research of the interrelations between the uniformity of the structure and consumer properties of paper is the use of principles and approaches combining modern paper technology achievements, computational methods and information technologies. The results of such multidisciplinary research contribute to the development and implementation in practice of affordable, cost-effective methods of monitoring, analyzing and improving the uniformity of paper forming. This work objective is the testing of the developed software PaperForming for visualization and analysis of the homogeneity of components distribution in the sheet volume. As the objects of research, we have chosen the most popular copy paper of the use standard A size. The uniformity of the structure forming of such paper is one of the main parameters determining the stable operation of modern high-performance office equipment (printers, copiers, scanners, multifunction devices). The results of the study confirm the need for separate control and regulation of its consumer properties taking into account the real technological conditions.
The polymorphisms of the hemostatic system genes in young and middle age patients with ischemic stroke (IS) and constitutional venous insufficiency was studied. Polymorphic variants of candidate genes of ischemic brain lesions described in the literature were chosen for the research: polymorphism 20210G>A FII gene, polymorphism of 1691G>A FV gene, polymorphism-455G>A FGB gene, polymorphism-6755G>gene 4G PAI-1, polymorphism 807C>T ITGA2 gene and polymorphism T>ITGB3 gene. Concluded that genetic susceptibility to thrombophilic conditions plays a large role in ischemic stroke in young and middle age patients. The association of polymorphism 20210G>A gene FII, 1691G>A FV gene («Leiden mutation»), 675 5G>4G the PAI-1 gene with the development of IS in young and middle age patients with constitutional venous insufficiency was found. Gene polymorphism of the fibrinogen 455 G>A on the contrary was more frequent in patients with IS and without symptoms of constitutional venous insufficiency.
By studying of genetic polymorphism of hemostasis system associated with increased risk of thrombophilia in young and middle age patients with ischemic stroke, analysis of genetic risk factors of acute brain ischemia was carried out. Polymorphisms of candidate genes of ischemic lesion are described in literature: gene FII mutation 20210G>A, gene FV mutation 1691G>A, gene FVII mutation 10976G>A, gene FGB mutation -455G>A, gene PAI-1 mutation -675 5G>4G, gene ITGA2 mutation 807C>T, gene ITGB3 mutation 1565Т>С were selected for research. Concluded that genetic susceptibility to thrombophilic conditions plays a large role in ischemic stroke in young and middle age patients. In every patient with ischemic stroke in indicated groups we have studied mutant genotype was detected at least in one of examined genes of hemostasis system. Data analysis revealed statistically significant prevalence of mutant alleles in genes FBG, PAI-1, ITGA2, ITGB3. In group of patients with ischemic stroke in comparison with control group most frequent polymorphic variants of examined genes are: gene F5 genotype G/A (Leyden mutation), fibrinogen gene genotype G/A, gene-inhibitor of activator of plasminogen genotype 5G/4G.
We examined 60 patients with constitutional venous insufficiency, suffering from hypertensive encephalopathy of I and II stages, mean age 43,4± 6,3 years. Patients of the main group (n=30) received Cytoflavin (2 tablets twice a day) and standard therapy (acetylsalicylic acid and antihypertensive drugs). Thirty patients of the parallel group received only standard therapy. At the 25th day of the study, there were the decrease in the number of complaints, including specific "venous complaints", the reduction of cephalalgia syndrome, asthenic and autonomic disorders; the improvement of quality of life and better cerebral hemodynamics on all structural and functional levels.
We conducted analysis of the functional reserve of the brain with arterial hypertension (AH). The work is based on the results of a survey of 103 patients AH, of which 56 men and 47 women, average age-56.5 ± 12.8 years. The average duration of the AH in patients – 9.0 ± 6.46 years. AH I diagnosed in 7 patients, which was 6.8 %, II-30 (29.1 %), AH III in 66 (64.1 %) patients. Endothelial dysfunction was assessed on the vasoactive function of the endothelium using ultrasound tests reactive hyperemia by d. Celermajer (1992). Reduction of cerebrovascular reactivity and endothelial dysfunction in the form of endothelium-dependent vasodilation brachial artery correlated with the age of the patient, the AH, stage hypertensive encephalopathy, chronic heart failure and left ventricular hypertrophy. During the study the expediency of accounting as predictors of diffuse brain injury of ischemic cerebrovascular reactivity and endothelial dysfunction.
Methods of synthesis of photonic crystals based on opals and inverse opals are considered. Their structural features are discussed. Data on different types of structural defects and their influence on the optical properties of opaline materials are systematized. The possibilities of investigation of structural defects by optical spectroscopy, electron microscopy, microradian X-ray diffraction, laser diffraction and using an analysis of Kossel ring patterns are described. The bibliography includes 253 references.
Coherent x-ray diffractive imaging (CXDI) was applied to reveal the structure of colloidal crystals. The colloidal sample was illuminated by a coherent x-ray beam through a 7 mu m pinhole aperture. The resulting diffraction patterns contain several Bragg peaks and an additional interference structure between the peaks due to the coherent illumination of a finite part of the sample. The inversion of these diffraction patterns reveals the arrangement of colloidal particles in a face-centered cubic (fcc) lattice as well as defects in the form of stacking faults in the (111) planes.
The results of an ultrasmall-angle X-ray scattering study of iron(III) oxide inverse opal thin films are presented. The photonic crystals examined are shown to have fcc structure with amount of stacking faults varying among the samples. The method used in this study makes it possible to easily distinguish between samples with predominantly twinned fcc structure and nearly perfect fcc stacking. The difference observed between samples fabricated under identical conditions is attributed to random layer stacking in the self-assembled colloidal crystals used as templates for fabricating the inverse opals. The present method provides a versatile tool for analyzing photonic crystal structure in studies of inverse opals made of various materials, colloidal crystals, and three-dimensional photonic crystals of other types.
