Raphanus sativus L., known as “rabanito,” is a healthy vegetable with low caloric content and high in vitamin C, which strengthens the immune system. However, this plant requires inorganic fertilizers, many of which are contaminated with heavymetals, such as cadmium and lead, which represents a potential risk for food safety. Therefore, the objective of this research was to analyze the bioaccumulation of cadmium and lead in R. sativus “rabanito” at 15, 30 and 45 days after fertilization with zinc sulfate. The experimental phase was carried out in a greenhouse, where pots were installed and R. sativus plants were planted, which were fertilized with zinc sulfate containing 125.175 ppm of cadmium and 7.554 ppm of lead, applying the fertilizer25 days after planting. A completely randomized design was used, with a controlgroup and three treatments: T2 (15 days after application - DAA), T3 (30 DAA) and T4 (45 DAA), with 4 repetitions per treatment. The results indicated that the highest bioaccumulation of lead in the roots (0.096 ppm) occurred at 15 DAA, while in the leaves (0.333 ppm) it was recorded at 45 DAA. Regarding cadmium, the highest concentration in roots (0.0584 ppm) was observed in the control group at 45 DAA, while in the leaves (0.1057 ppm) it occurred at 15 DAA after fertilization with zinc sulphate. In conclusion, the use of zinc sulphate as a fertilizer increases the bioaccumulation of cadmium and lead in R. sativus, being higher in the leaves and lower in the roots.
Physalis peruvianaL., known as “aguaymanto”, has gained economic relevance in recent years due to its high nutritional value. However, there is little information on its germination studies. This research focused on determining the influence of gibberellic acid on the germination of P. peruviana“aguaymanto”. During the experimental phase, P. peruviana L. “aguaymanto” seeds treated with different concentrations of gibberellic acid were used (T1: Control, T2: 100 ppm, T3: 250 ppm and T4: 500 ppm). 90 seeds were selected and sown in germinators to analyze their emergence. The results showed that the concentration of 500 ppm (T4) reached the highest average germination percentage, with 74%. Furthermore, the one-way ANOVA test revealed statistically significant differences in germination percentage, and Tukey's Post hoc test confirmed that T4 (500 ppm) increased this percentage. The average emergence percentage was 83.33% and the coefficient of variation was 7.98%, indicating a high homogeneity in the emergence percentages of P. peruviana“aguaymanto”. It is concluded that the concentration of 500 ppm of gibberellic acid optimizes the germination and emergence of P. peruviana “aguaymanto”, and its use is recommended in propagation research.

It can be concluded that the flora plays a prominent role in the life of the community, with the categories reporting the highest number of species being: food (29.35%), medicine (28.36%), culture (9.95%), construction (9.45%), lumber (6.97%), commerce (3.48%), craftsmanship (2.49%), toxic (2.49%), and other uses (7.46%).
Due to the presence of medicinal properties, Peruvian communities indiscriminately use the bark of many species of "quina tree" ( Cinchona , Ladenbergia, and Remijia ; Rubiaceae) to combat infectious diseases such as malaria and even Covid-19. This situation highlights the importance of developing investigations that contribute to the massive propagation of these plants and the reforestation of their habitats. In this context, we aimed to study the fruit, seed, and germination of Ladenbergia oblongifolia to have efficient resources for its cultivation and propagation. The biological material came from the district of Aramango (Amazonas, Peru) and was deposited at the Herbarium Truxillense for its determination, subsequent characterization of the fruit and seed, and germination tests. Based on the results, it was determined that the fruits have a length of 5.75 cm, a width of 0.74 cm, a weight of 1.14 gr, and 71 seeds on average. The seeds are 1.01 cm long, 0.72 cm wide, 0.072 10(-2) gr average weight, and 83.3% germination rate. Therefore, it is concluded that the study of the fruit, seed, and germination of Ladenbergia oblongifolia allows the differentiation of this species from others of the genera Cinchona and Remijia . These findings constitute fundamental information both for the taxonomic clarification of Ladenbergia oblongifolia and the adequate agronomic management of this species. At the same time, it encourages the implementation of various conservation and reforestation programs aimed at promoting the sustainability of this species.

This article seeks to establish the prospects for the valorization of 9 seeds and 12 fruit peels based on their physical properties. These residues were characterized with respect to: residue generation index (RGI), particle size, thickness, sphericity, density (particle and bulk), total moisture, hardness and maturity (color scale). By analyzing the results of these physical characteristics, the possibilities of utilization for obtaining edible foods, flours, pigments, composting, oil extraction and activated carbon were established. It was found that the IGR of shells and seeds was between 11.91-55.61 % and 2.08-13.95 %, respectively. Seeds presented particle sizes of 0.38-4.21 cm, sphericities between 0.42-0.90, particle density of 0.91-1.43 g/mL, bulk densities between 0.85-1.08 g/mL and total moisture of 31.42-84.71 %; while the shells presented thicknesses of 0.08-0.80 cm, densities between 0.94-1.19 g/mL, hardnesses from 54.49 N to values greater than 118.43 N and total moisture content of 15.19-94.44 %. It is concluded that shells are generated in greater quantity than seeds and it is recommended to use these residues together. In addition, the physical characteristics of the residues affect the alternative of utilization and valorization. Therefore, fruit residues can be used to obtain edible foods, flours, pigments, biofertilizers, vegetable oils and activated carbon; and it is recommended to perform other analyses such as: thermogravimetric, elemental, calorific value, bromatological, determination of adsorption curves and porosity, to revalidate the possibilities of utilization and valorization mentioned above.

On the other hand, the seeds have a length of 2.193 +/- 0.052 cm, a width of 1.380 +/- 0.053 cm and a weight of 1.393 +/- 0.078 g. It is concluded that the morphometry of the pods and seeds of P. lunatus could be used in future studies to differentiate and characterize the pallar mochero ecotype.
Hylocereus undatus "pitahaya", is a tropical species of cactus that has been established throughout Latin America. Its fruit is considered a potential nutraceutical food because it provides numerous beneficial antioxidant and probiotic properties for health. Reason for which its cultivation has increased both for the national and international market, one of the main limitations being the rapid propagation and establishment of the cuttings. Given this, it was proposed as a research objective to determine the effect of indole butyric acid on the propagation of Hylocereus undatus "pitahaya", as a promoter of root growth. In the greenhouse, stems of mother plants were used, which were subjected to different doses of IBA (0, 5000, 10000 mg/L). A completely randomized design was used, evaluating the longest root length, number of primary roots, root mass weight, root dry weight, stem weight and stem length. The data were analyzed using the software R version 4.1.2, showing the not existence of significant differences between the treatments. It is concluded that treatment 1, constituted by 0 mg/L of IBA, is the best, since a better response was evidenced in relation to the greater root length, number of primary roots and root mass weight, in the same way. for weight and stem length of H. undatus "pitahaya". Therefore, for its propagation the use of indole butyric acid is not essential.
