This paper is devoted to investigation of luminescence and some electric properties of C-60 single crystal and their connection with X-traps model.Luminescence properties for C-60 single crystal, the temperature dependence of the luminescence spectra and decay kinetics were measured for wide range of excitation energies. At low temperatures the emission spectra with well resolved structure were detected. Opposite to the case of C-60 films, the single crystal shape of the luminescence spectra also change with temperature. This behavior can be described in terms of X-trap model as proposed in [1].The luminescence kinetics under 36 eV excitation as a function of temperature was investigated in nanosecond range. At temperature T < 300 K, the decay curve is non-exponential and it can be fitted formally by two exponents with characteristic times in the 1-100 ns range. We suppose the explanation of this relaxation behavior requires more particular information about electron-hole recombination dynamics which can be affected by X-traps.Following X-traps concept we present preliminary results of thermostimulated currents spectroscopy experiments. It reveals the availability of two thermorelaxation processes in C-60 single crystal and therefore indeed the presence at least of two types of traps for charges in this crystals.
Luminescence properties for C60 single crystal, the temperature dependence of the luminescence spectra and decay kinetics were measured for a wide range of excitation energies. At low temperatures the emission spectra with well resolved structure were detected. There were not observed any changes in the luminescence spectra under different excitation energy. With careful measurements of the luminescence intensity as function of temperature we were able to detect the particularity on the curve at T ∼ 250 K which corresponds to the phase transition in this material. Opposite to the case of C60 films, the shape of the single crystal luminescence spectra also changes with temperature. The luminescence kinetic as function of temperature was investigated in nanosecond range. At temperatures T> 300 K the decay curve can be fitted by one exponent with t∼ 1 ns. When temperature decreased this component becomes non exponential and more slower. Thermostimulated current spectroscopy reveals the availability at least two traps for charged carriers.
Two Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), citalopram and fluoxetine, both at a daily dose of 20 mg, were compared in patients with unipolar major depression treated in general practice. This was a multicentre, double-blind, randomized trial carried out in France. The duration of treatment was 8 weeks. Patients were assessed by means of the Montgomery-Asberg Depression Rating Scale (MADRS), the 17 items Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAMD) and the investigator's Clinical. Global Impressions (CGI). Observed and spontaneously reported adverse events were also recorded. A total of 357 patients of both sexes, aged between 21 and 73 years, entered the double-blind phase of the trial. A clear reduction of both the MADRS and the HAMD mean total scores was observed in both treatment groups with no statistically significant differences between treatments. Apart from back pain recorded more frequently in the citalopram group, no significant difference was found between the two treatment groups with regard to adverse events, and both citalopram and fluoxetine were considered to be well tolerated. It was concluded that citalopram was as effective as fluoxetine in the treatment of unipolar major depression. Citalopram showed an earlier onset of recovery than fluoxetine.
Based on the long experience of the Saclay's Laboratoire National Saturne in the field of radio frequency cavities, a pool constituted of LNS and Thomson Tubes Electroniques has built and delivered the rf system (h = 1) for the COSY synchrotron of KFA-Jülich. The characteristics of this system are described. The paper will also present other realizations in this field, and new developments towards very wide band cavities for heavy ion synchrotrons.

UNLABELLED:An open multicentric study of 196 in-patients was carried out in 9 centres. After an initial stabilization (min. 15 days) with oral haloperidol, patients received haloperidol decanoate IM for at least 24 weeks (or a minimum of 9 injections).RESULTS:- esterification of haloperidol increased the duration of its efficacy (interval between 2 injections: average 4 weeks) without interfering with its therapeutic activity (global appreciation scale, BPRS at each injection and at the end of the treatment); - equivalent quantities of haloperidol injected at a time were 15 to 20 times those administered daily during the initial stabilisation period; - side-effects were not different with haloperidol decanoate as compared to those of the previous period (haloperidol).
We have designed a new wide-band (4 Hz-4 kHz) induction magnetometer for shallow geophysical investigations with artificial magneto-tellurics.The sensor is first described and its specifications are then given : its noise, of the order of magnitude of natural magnetic fields, varies from 1.5 m03B3/~Hz (rms) for 10 Hz to 0.012 m03B3/~Hz (rms) for 1 kHz (1 my = 10-8 G).
AbstractA study is made of the domain‐wall structure of coupled uniaxial ferromagnetic films separated by a thin non‐magnetic layer. It is found that the walls in the two films are not always superimposed. After demagnetization in the hard direction they are separated but tend to cross frequently. After demagnetization in the easy direction, they may be separated and parallel or they may be superimposed. An explanation of this behaviour in terms of wall‐hyphen;quasi‐wall interactions is considered.
The coupling between films of NiFe and another ferromagnetic material separated by a thin layer of a nonferromagnetic metal has been investigated for the cases of Au, Ag, Cr, and Pd intermediates. It is found that for Pd an alloy formation takes place during evaporation, and that for Cr, a porosity effect is important. It appears unlikely that either of these effects can be important for Au and Ag, and in these cases the possibility of indirect exchange must be considered seriously.
A positive coupling has been observed between magnetic films separated by a thin metallic layer. Five methods which have been developed for measuring this coupling and the variation of the coupling with evaporation temperature, measuring temperature, and thickness of the intermediate layer are described. Three mechanisms are proposed for the observed coupling : bulk diffusion of ferromagnetic atoms into the intermediate layer, diffusion of magnetic atoms along grain boundaries, and polarization of conduction electrons. The effect of this coupling on slow switching, pulse switching, and creep is discussed.
