The B$^0_s$ and B$^+$ production yields are measured in PbPb collisions at a center-of-mass energy per nucleon pair of 5.02 TeV. The data sample, collected with the CMS detector at the LHC, corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 1.7 nb$^{-1}$. The mesons are reconstructed in the exclusive decay channels B$^0_s$ $\to$ J/$\psi(\mu^+\mu^-)\phi($K$^+$K$^-)$ and B$^+$ $\to$ J/$\psi(\mu^+\mu^-)$K$^+$, in the transverse momentum range 7-50 GeV/c and absolute rapidity 0-2.4. The B$^0_s$ meson is observed with a statistical significance in excess of five standard deviations for the first time in nucleus-nucleus collisions. The measurements are performed as functions of the transverse momentum of the B mesons and of the PbPb collision centrality. The ratio of production yields of B$^0_s$ and B$^+$ is measured and compared to theoretical models that include quark recombination effects.

The analysis is based on 2-jet hadronic Z decays obtained in the data collected between 1991 and 1992. Three separate event samples are analysed, contain ing electrons, muons and large missing energy (neutrinos), respectively. From the electron sample, we measure Br(b —> ez/X) (10.89±0.20=b0.51)% and, from the muon sam ple, Br(b —► ¡jl vX ) = (10.82±0.15±0.59)%, where the first error is statistical and the second is systematic. The two-photon width Γγγ of the ηc meson has been measured with the L3 detector at LEP. The ηc is studied in the decay modes π +π−π+π−, π+π−K+K−, K0sK ±π∓, K+K−π0, π+π−η, π+π−η′, and ρ+ρ− using an integrated luminosity of 140 pb−1 at √ s ≃ 91 GeV and of 52 pb−1 at √s ≃ 183 GeV. The result is Γγγ(ηc) = 6.9±1.7 (stat.)±0.8 (sys.)±2.0(BR) keV. The Q dependence of the ηc cross section is studied forQ < 9 GeV. It is found to be better described by a Vector Meson Dominance model form factor with a J-pole than with a ρ-pole. In addition, a signal of 29±11 events is observed at the χc0 mass. Upper limits for the two-photon widths of the χc0, χc2, and η ′ c are also given. Submitted to Phys. Lett.
Time-dependent B-B̄ mixing is studied using about two million hadronic Z decays registered by L3 in 1994 and 1995. For this study three techniques are used. Tagging of the b-quark charge at decay time is performed by identifying leptons from semileptonic B decays. The flavour of the b quark at production time is determined from the charge of the lepton in the opposite hemisphere or by using a jet-charge technique. The proper time of the B-particle decay is obtained by reconstructing the production and decay vertices or by a measurement of the lepton impact parameter. The combined result for the frequency of Bd meson oscillations is ∆md = 0.444 ± 0.040 ps−1. The L3 Collaboration: Measurement of the Bd − B̄d oscillation frequency 197
